Important announcement that was placed by the Sono team in Discord
"@everyone We seem to be added to stocks.exchange. We DID NOT talk to stocks exchange and they have added us without reaching out. Please be careful when trading there, we had no intentions of listing our coin there."
So be careful guys!

That indicates the highest hashrate of the last bock your rig/card(s) solved since running the program. If you restart Pheonixminer program, all data clears to zero.
That is not exactly what I meant. My question was more about when the exclamation marks are put behind a share. When do you get ( ! ) and when do you get ( !!! ).

I really like this miner. It uses slightly more power then Claymore, but the interface is much better. Maybe a noob question or maybe it has been asked before, but what are the 'degrees' with the exclamation marks ( !!! ). Is it like GH = ( ! ) and TH = ( !!! )?

Well, I hate to say it, but it seems I can't mine this new CN Heavy algorithm properly. I was using SGMinerGM without much problems getting 4500H/sec out of my 5 AMD RX580's, but now it is horrible. XMR Stak gives me 3300H/sec, SRBminer 3800H/sec, but both miners will crash/get stuck/reboot within two hours. Tuning the miners with intensity etc only make it worse. I can accept the loss in hashrate, but not all these problems. Same shit with me. I've got 3 rigs, 2 (different cards, but no 580) are working stable, but one with 2x580 and 2x570 stuck/hangs after several hours (but more than two). That sucks. maybe try turning off double threads ? I tried double threads, but it didn't even started. Like I said, tuning with settings like threads, intensity etc. only made it worse. I use the values that both xmr-stak and SRBminer detect, but it's not lasting for more then a couple of hours.

ASICs (miners that havent updated their miners are sure to have spotted that something has changed by now) Well, that was what I would think also. But my pool is not one of the biggest and it's flushed with bad shares from my miners. I put a warning on my homepage and announced it in the discord channel, but nothing... Well right now I only know of 2 gpu miners that supports SUMO. srbminer and xmr-stak. Do you know of any other gpu miner? Check this great thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2126975.0 created by @Mattthev. At this point I am only facing system reboots within an hour with both SRBMiner and XMR-STAK on my AMD RX580 Rig. I really like SGMiner GM, but it doesn't support CN Heavy

Is there an updated version available of SGMinerGM that supports CN Heavy?
Probably no, only V7 I think. Hmmm, I really like SGMiner. Just have to wait until someone builds a compatible version.

I finally have my pool at http://sumo.pandapool.nl/ working on the new daemon and Cryptonight Heavy! Noticed immediately that miners didn't updated their mining software as a lot of bad hashes are thrown at the pool.

It will take forever to get 116520 block I hope it will take some more time, so I can fix my pool . Stupid "Failed at the multi-hashing@0.0.9 install script 'node-gyp rebuild'" error...

Network: Block found 4 hours ago... What?
5 Hours . It seems a block of 35G is hard to find.
|
|
|
Well, it seems we are stuck at block 116417 for 3 hours . At this rate it's going to take a while to reach 116520

So in actuality this project is dead is that what youre trying to tell us?
No, this project is far from dead. I only said that at the moment you can't buy Sono on any exchange. You can join Discord https://discord.gg/8bY2rjX to see that there is still active development and you can even try to buy Sono there.
|
|
|
Well Yobit is the only exchange that sells Sono/Altcom at this point in time or am i wrong?
Actually, Yobit sells Altcom, not Sono. So you can't buy or sell Sono on any exchange yet.

Testnet forked without issues so the fork's block height on the main net is firm. You can start updating your pools immediately by cloning and installing the updated sumokoin pool repo https://github.com/sumoprojects/cryptonote-sumokoin-poolAfter installation the pool will automatically switch to cryptonight-heavy when the first compatible block is found. You don't need to manually update pool software when Sumokoin hardfork occurs git clone https://github.com/sumoprojects/cryptonote-sumokoin-pool.git pool cd pool rm -r node_modules npm update For miners: You can use the new xmr-stak to mine (you can download it from here https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases) It doesnot have a config file like the older version it autogenerates one through a series of queries on the first run. Choose Sumokoin when asked, xmr-stak will mine the standard cryptonight and auto switch mining cryptonight-heavy upon the fork I just have to wait for SadBatman to update his fork of the cryptonote-sumokoin-pool to get my pool ready for cryptonight-heavy.

Great work! Can't wait for these updates!

Is there an ETA when the 41.97 reward for finding a Sumo block will kick in next month? Is it at a specific block or what will trigger the change?
