With such an exchange as cryptopia and bit-z - there is no future for the coin! Every time there is a problem with the resale of coins with a deposit. Angry

HitBtc is working great!

I'm not sure how.. they have only 1.5% of the volume.  That can be a very long wait.. looks like more than 2-3 minutes between transactions.  Less than 3BTC per day.
Lots of people had problems withdrawing coins from hitbtc including me. I am not sure if it is solved by now but i stay away from them.
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will this bear trend go? on: February 05, 2018, 12:50:16 AM
it is gonna depend on the news that is coming and the reaction to that from the market , New investors are panicking right now because they haven't seen anytihng like it. Everybody who bought in late december lost between 30 and 50% of their portfolio presumably . But i am pretty sure it will go up , so buy some more if you want to and just wait it out.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Cashout BitCoins? on: February 04, 2018, 11:41:30 PM
I send it to a local website where you can buy and sell bitcoin , but not really a exchange. I pay a bit higher fee but it is worth it because they are trusted.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is going down this few weeks? on: February 03, 2018, 07:51:42 PM
Because it has been going up to much the last months , that rise was not sustainable. So this was expected and calculated in , in a couple months it will be back again i think.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICO or buy later on exchange ? on: February 02, 2018, 01:30:33 AM
That is the risk of an ICO , you are paying a set value , so if you want to take a big risk you buy during the ico and hope it all works out. If you want to be safer you can wait till the coin hits the exchanges , then you will see the real popularity of the project . Just keep in mind that some ico's buy their own coins to make the project look more in demand.
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All in for Stellar (XLM) on: February 02, 2018, 01:13:37 AM
It is a big risk to put all your money in one coin , even though you believe in it. But even when the tech and the team looks good there is a lot that can happen. So even if you believe in it a lot i would recommend to diversify enough.
127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think digital currency will ever replace paper money? on: February 01, 2018, 01:32:29 AM
You will need something physical i think , because if there is a massive power outage there will be a big problem . Also if it happens the coin or coins need to be 100% private , or it will be very easy to follow people and gather data on them.
128  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar getting weaker... effects on cryptocurrency on: February 01, 2018, 01:08:08 AM
It will have a great effect on bitcoin and other assets , because one of the big reasons why usd is getting weaker is because they keep printing more. Which is impossible with btc and other crypto as most people here know.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did I diversify too much? on: February 01, 2018, 12:25:18 AM
It will depend on the way you want to invest , i would never hold less then 10% of my portfolio in a coin . Because i think you won't get enough gains even if it moons. If you like that many project i think it is time to pick the best out of them and take a bigger position in it. But if you like to hold small amounts of really high risk coins it can be worth it i guess.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Trading Platform! on: January 31, 2018, 05:19:39 PM
I personally use crpytopia and binance a lot. Binance beacause of the 2 btc withdrawal amount. But with the influx of new buyers i have seen more complaints about almost every exchange.
131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin loses its popularity ? on: January 31, 2018, 12:49:01 PM
I think it is more the fact that there aren't big dumps or pumps , it is staying at the same level more or less. People seem to lose interest fast that way, they are here for the quick money.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: January 30, 2018, 05:04:57 PM
You have to look at coins that can offer a solution to a problem or at least do it better then it is done now. So look for coins that are capable of scaling and see if the dev team is dedicated for the future.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to hold Bitcoin for a long time or sell to meet a need of life? on: January 30, 2018, 12:32:32 PM
I understand the whole tactic of holding bitcoins for long term profits. But the whole point of investing is to gain profits and use them for your own benefit, much more during in times of need or emergencies. If you find yourself in a situation where there is an emergency and your hesitant to cash out some btc's because you still believe that its value will go higher, then the whole point of you investing is somewhat gone/changed. The notion of "holding for as long as you can" is very unrealistic, because you can't do that in real life. At some point in life, we're gonna have to cash out btc's for us to use them or do you expect to "hold" these until you die?
I agree with this , but the volatility makes it hard for people .  Everybody has the pizza guy in their head , but never forget why you got in . And if you have reached you goal you had in the beginning  , you should sell at least a part.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 1 ETH - should buy alt or hold on to it on: January 29, 2018, 09:08:01 PM
If you want to take a risk you should buy a decent low marketcap altcoin with it . It is much easier to go 10x with that , because for a 10x in ethereum there has to happen a lot. But ethereum is a safer bet long term.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market cap is rising ?? on: January 29, 2018, 08:45:47 PM
I believe the marketcap will slowly keep rising with a few small dips down over the next few months. After that there is a big chance a new rally comes again just like last year. Im just wondering how much more the market is manipulated this year.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 29, 2018, 06:36:58 PM
Hey folks,

Today is a Monday and that means an update of my weekly BTX airdrop end date prediction spreadsheet.
This week I predicted 134 000 coins to be dropped, while the factual number was 133 140, so slightly lower than predicted.
The main reason for this is in my view the 3-4 days that the airdrop registration was offline due to the new website added by the team.

In any case, the end date is still unchanged - still April 23rd as the last Monday.

Next week we will have the first 6% airdrop and I predict 180 000 coins to be dropped that week. Let's see how it goes!

Thanks for doing this every week , comes in really useful.

Do I need to register every week or once is enough for all airdrops?

One time is enough.
138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallet on: January 27, 2018, 09:29:06 PM
I have only dipped in to Bitcoin and a few other cryptocurrencies but I want to invest a little bit more and I am in one mind to use software wallets but another mind to invest in a hardware wallet? Currently, I don't know whether I see a point if the hardware wallet almost matches the value of the coins I hold?

Brad
Invest in hardware wallets and that will be one of the finest investments you had. What are the coins you are holding? Get one of it already so that you can have a safety vault of your coins.
This will help you choose on what type of wallet you really want. https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
I agree it isn't that expensive and will give you a lot of peace of mind. Just make sure that you buy the wallet from an official seller , and not some random site on the internet.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 27, 2018, 12:18:55 AM
110% disagree.
The focus MUST be the to be listed on others exchangers, not all other bullshits can be done "overnight".
costs money to be listed? you have enough ( team) to do it instantly. make a vote, and you will see that exchangers will be the 1st choice.

Relevant exchanges cost money, ask people if they want to stop getting  AIRDROPS and instead be listed on exchanges with that money?
what's the hurry with exchanges? If someone is so eager to sell he already can on Cryptopia.

4.000.000 BTX available x 25$.. do the math, would be ok also to not receive ONE airdrop to pay for couple best exchangers.
Everyone will agree to not receive the airdrop 1 week and see BTX listed on Kucoin and Binance for example. Make a vote Wink

You're new here, right?

There is a 10% "Bitcore foundation" which is 1.5M BTX coins. Read page 1, please.

New exchanges will come once the distribution is over. End of the story!

no way, i bet you are new here, not me.
ALL btx holders wants new exchangers, if you disagree is simply because you still dont own any btx.
This coin will not survive at the end of the airdrop with those small crappy exchange, so better you think now to new exchangers cause in some months will be too late and impossible to recover the price.
I think it is very, very important to access other exchanges, because when the launch is over, we will not keep the currency and we will look to sell it, and I think we all agree that these exchanges have very little transaction volume, which will make the excellent strategy fail and that managed to become trash, it would be great if we entered a market like Binance, for example.

Please let's worry about the exchanges after the airdrop in April. It wouldn't be good to shoot your self on the foot
How would you shoot yourself in the foot? New exchanges will only bring benefits , and we don't have to rely on craptopia.
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there such a thing? on: January 25, 2018, 02:14:18 AM
Only tether that i know backed by usd thats mean the price always 1:1 with us dolar, sometimes the price go like 0.98 to 1.02 or something and there to many of them, this years there 20% more tether supply added. But ive heard there some gold miner company want to make cryptocurrency with gold backed thats mean the price of that crypto determinant by the price of gold or whatever precious metal they want.
The problem is that they can't proof that they back every tether with a dollar . They have been asked countless times and they haven't been able to show something. So at the moment the best thing to do is just go trough the hassle to put it to usd i you want.
