Your probably making a nice bit of change of the pool fees. Stop being such a slum load pool operator, and, if need be, upgrade your fucking servers. Just look at the list of people, who have stopped mining at your pool, because of this. Add VARDIFF, they start mining at your pool again, you collect more fees. This isn't exactly rocket science. Does having a difficulty as high as 512 reduce my profits?
No. The only downside is that it increases your very short-term variance since you'll only find a share every minute or so on a 1 MH/s rig. There is misinformation on the bitcoin forum stating that a high difficulty reduces your profit if you have a slow GPU. This is untrue. It has no influence on your profit. Has this been tested at all? Or are you still just guessing? |
