it does because it take longer for the gpu to crunch the block... so by the time it has and a block has been found its rejected...
That's not how it works. As soon as a new block is detected on the network, you abandon your work on the previous block. But that work wasn't wasted because if you found a share you submitted it. Take the extreme example that the share difficulty is equal to the network difficulty. You will only find a share when it's an actual block. It would be equivalent to solo-mining. It's not less profitable, just more variable. I think what he means man, is people with slower cards, may not get shares submitted for coins with faster block times. No shares, no payout. I have had similiar issues in P2Pools. VARDIFF exists for a reason Just saying, you may want to have a look at it, because the majority of your users, are smaller miners.

VIRUS DETECTED!
Dude, your supposed to do that tomorrow, when he releases the client. Now, on the coin, Haxxxorcoin? really? That'll be right beside Weed, porn and sex coin...There are just certain themes you should avoid, when trying to gain acceptance from the masses And for the love of fuck, stop replacing letters with numbers...Or just go back to Counter Strike, and leave this stuff to the adults.

I may have missed it, but what size are the super blocks? Are they random? If so, what range can they fall in?
Also, how does this coin differ from ElephantCoin? I believe it has very fast confirmation times and also has these random super blocks.
int rand = generateMTRandom(seed, 100000);
if(rand > 50000 && rand < 50011) nSubsidy = 10045 * COIN; Basically, each block, a random number is generated, between 0 and 100,000, if that number is greater than 50,000 and less than 50,011, a super block of 10,045 will generated. so, that's 10 chances, out of 100,000, so there's a .1% chance of hitting a super block...I'm not sure how it's figured to be 12 Super blocks every 24 hours at 2 hour at random intervals, I don't see anything to allow for this, in the code, but, I am new at this, so I could be missing something. Can I have this addressed please? I really just want to know how it works.

Feeling a little dumb here, but 3m BTC would be 0.03 BTC??? Oh, and I like this idea, trying it out with 1.1 MH/s

Wow, thats a really ice interface. Who owns it?

Done, Hydroponica. You should add GIL

I miss the insane rambling already... Sooooo, you had an alright idea for a coin, wasn't smart enough to make it work, so went with superblocks, instead No, not Spots' idea. It was Vlad's idea (and I use that phrase loosely) that he could not implement through his incompetence. No, on Cryptsy, he was talking about a coin, that adjusted block rewards based on difficulty. I specifically asked him, if his coin was going to have superblocks, and he said no, which is probably why my posts will be moderated out of this thread shortly. Well, that, and this guy is a huge drama queen.

In the case of GIL, it is completely random, so, you have the same odds as hitting a 10 coin block, as you do a 50 coin block, every single block. Good luck predicting its profitability, once it hits an exchange

So, how many of you got rich off PrimeCoin, while the Dev had to run around and buy his own coin off you? How many exchanges and pools are collecting fees off PrimeCoin, while the Dev received fuck all for his efforts? Yep, sounds right to me

Updated Block Explorer link

last block took 45 minutes for a measly 13mst on 2.4m/h no thanks
Block size is only 20... And this would be why I am urging more people to join in
