121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin isn't just an investment, it is the future on: October 07, 2019, 11:59:01 PM
From my last post about Bitcoin investment,  following the valuable contributions of members of the forum,  I learnt that Bitcoin investment is not just something that blossoms in a few days,  rather it takes patience.

That gave rise to my new topic.
Bitcoin isn't just an investment, but it is the future...

Let's all share our thoughts about this, in order to encourage ourselves and build a stronger community of users.

Of course, bitcoin is the future as it has the biggest crypto community in the world. bitcoin has over $150 billion in market capitalization with over 67% of the cryptocurrency market dominance. It owns more than half of the cryptocurrency market at the moment.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2019-10-08] PayPal officially pulls out of Facebook's Libra cryptocurrency on: October 07, 2019, 11:15:22 PM
PayPal saw the dangers of what is coming to Libra and now they want out. U.S Government won't let Facebook Libra take over the monetary supply and circulation around the world. Don't forget the world bank too, EU, and IMF would all soon tail behind MR. TRUMP to stop Libra. At last, Zuckerberg has one last dream that's impossibly going to happen.
123  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull or Bear season for crypto? on: October 02, 2019, 01:55:12 PM
The crypto market for a period seemed to be on a bear market, and for some reason much later prices started increasing again. What can be said about the market at this period, are we on a bull or bear?

I think we are now witnessing another the bear market because we are having more dumps and fewer pumps in the market.
Though, we are expecting to see another huge market bull run in the fourth quarter - Q4 of this year 2019.
124  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Will Bitcoin Be Back To $20,000 ? on: October 02, 2019, 01:47:01 PM
When do you think Bitcoin will go back to the $20,000 mark and what factors do you think could contribute to making it happen sooner rather than later?

I think the bitcoin price will reach $20,000 before January 2020 because of the U.S elections.
The U.S election has a strong influence on bitcoin prices more than what people think.
Brexit and U.S vs. China's trade war will contribute to the growth of bitcoin prices.
125  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falling of crypto prices on: October 02, 2019, 01:40:06 PM
I read of someone transferring a billion dollars worth of bitcoin and some people speculated that if it hits exchanges, it would cause bitcoin to drop.Do you guys think this is the cause or maybe it's just a bear trap?

Well, I think the people that invested in bitcoin for the BAKKT launch are the ones dumping for profits. We all know that things like that happened in the past. Whenever there is a major launch whether a coin or exchange that creates a market bull run of either bitcoin or ethereum. Once the product or coin is launched, then it is dumping season for short-term investors.
126  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin up to $20,000 before 2020? on: October 02, 2019, 01:30:57 PM
Great analysis imo! https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/will-bitcoin-reach-20k-before-2020/

My key takeaways:

  • More and more people are using crypto as a way to diversify their investment portfolio
  • Brexit is a mess and this only helps Bitcoin
  • The trade war is a mess too and this only helps Bitcoin
  • Price patterns favor a $20,000 bull-run by the end of the year
  • There is a massive FOMO sentiment amongst crypto enthusiasts

Thoughts?

Don't forget the Bakkt launch hype and the Facebook Libra effect should be taken into account. Now people are dumping coins for profit after the Bakkt launch. I think the bitcoin price got pumped because of two things which are: the Bakkt launch and Facebook Libra ICO. The Bakkt is launched and Facebook Libra has no official date of the ICO/IEO
127  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down below $9k! Buy the dip now? on: October 02, 2019, 01:22:36 PM
The market is experiencing a huge correction at the moment.
Bakkt hype and the Facebook libra effect is starting to fade away.
I don't think now is the right time to buy bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.
There is too much panic in the market still, it better to wait for a week or two to see the outcome.
128  Economy / Economics / Re: World economy, what do you think? on: October 01, 2019, 03:05:39 PM
How much, in your opinion, has international relations influenced the world economy and what do you think about it?

Of course, international relations between countries would help contribute to the global economy.
The world economy will only grow bigger through bilateral trades between countries around the world.
129  Economy / Economics / Re: Big risk ,big results. on: October 01, 2019, 02:55:06 PM
A guy bought a very big house, which triggered an argument on a telegram group.
some people were arguing on a telegram group that they guy couldn't have bought the house with only trading profit....some insinuated that he must be into other businesses.
I laughed at their ignorance.
Why? Because I know that even in this present market condition that some skilled traders are making a killing.
I'm not talking about traders who trade with small capital here.
The conclusion is that when you trade with massive capital ,you earn massively.

They say, play big, win big! It involves taking a huge risk though!
Thus, the more money you invest the more profit you are going to make.
This is the game for real professional crypto-traders, not starters or even intermediate traders.
130  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: October 01, 2019, 02:39:36 PM
Is KYC is benefit to crypto people or not. what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing KYC.

Universal money and Anonymous is the biggest strength of btc BTC, now every country follows KYC and then it can be controlled by someone.

Now KYC is trend in crypto market..... Cheesy

KYC is killing the privacy and freedom of using cryptocurrency.
Using cryptocurrency, people have control over their privacy instead the KYC is destroying that.
The people have no benefit to KYC rather Governments and companies that are enforcing the KYC.
131  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Bring change into Africa? on: October 01, 2019, 02:33:01 PM
The  nature of Africa was decentralization! Africa was unite and great until  colonial masters began to centralize  everything. Now  all the resources is control by the  western world.  Now that the world is changing and  blockchain is bring back  decentralization to the world would Africa get  their  power back?

Yes, I believe the blockchain technology will help unite Africa once again.
Blockchain will boost African businesses, it will help reduce rigging elections and corruption.
132  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Cryptocurrency threatens governments on: October 01, 2019, 02:23:45 PM
The government is trying to make everything under its control, the banks control all the money, and the government controls that banks.
Blocking or restricting is a feature of anything new, new things need time to accept.
The Internet has been a tool for freedom before, but now there are a lot of restrictions on its use, and this will happen to cryptocurrencies.
I do not know why people tend to be controlled? But this is a present trait.

Yes, the Government wants to control the flow of money using Banks.
Yet cryptocurrency cannot be controlled with banks because cryptos are peer-to-peer digital currencies.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Akon talks about bitcoin and his own coin on: September 30, 2019, 04:07:24 PM
Akon, popular personality who is known to the world through his songs and music now opens about the needs of bitcoin and briefs more about it on an interview to the Breakfast Club Power 105.1 FM. That's really interesting to watch his interview where he gives clear answers with comparison to the dollar. Here's the link to the video https://youtu.be/HERTlVMd1QI

He's praised a king by African people. He has turned himself to be an entrepreneur, and he'll do good to Africa with cryptocurrency which might enrich the usage and adoption of bitcoin. Even now there is good acceptance for bitcoin in Africa, and what he has initiated through his own coin could make more popular people get into cryptocurrency network.

Well, everybody knows bitcoin is better than USD, Euro, and British Pounds. My question is why AKON never talked about bitcoin in the past until now? Perhaps, AKON is trying to promote his shitcoin in the name of bitcoin. If AKON truly likes bitcoin why AKOIN???
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Will Replace Gold! Here's Why... on: September 30, 2019, 03:51:08 PM
There is no doubt the bitcoin will replace gold in the future. Bitcoin already replaced gold in the mind of Millenials - the youth and entrepreneurs. Bitcoin is beating gold with a very high margin in terms of profits for the long-term investment (Bitcoin price grew from $0.5 to $10k in only 10 years). Now, tell me which one among the two is better for investment.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to buy using Bitcoin on: September 30, 2019, 03:45:43 PM
Hello:
I am new to cryptos and I must say that my first experience has been a bad one, I recently visited antminerusa.com and purchased some hardware, that was about 10 days ago, I paid using BTC, now the site is no longer available, its been down for 3 days maybe a bit more, this lead me to think this website is a scam.  Now what should I do to recover my BTC, if the purchase where made using a credit card, I would report it to my bank and they could void or cancel payment, but with BTC what should I do?, if there is nothing that I can do, then it is obvious that using cryptos is a scammers paradise because there is no protection to buyer (that I know), unless there is a way to introduce the complain in the chain in order to reverse payment.
This is the transaction id 30dc4f431ac3db1949b330ab8cd31d1bb019d4831e24cd7cd7f4215fca73073b if anyone could share some light I would appreciete it.

Sorry to hear your story my friend but, to be frank, your money is gone. It's too late there is nothing we can do about your money. I wish the site is online maybe we can report your case to the payment processor of the site (coinbase, bitpay, or coinpayments) maybe they can help out or prevent others from getting scammed too.
136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Capacity to Kill Bitcoin! on: September 30, 2019, 03:37:55 PM
Of course, the bitcoin is quite popular around the world these days because it's an extraordinary invention.
Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer digital currency that is accessible to anyone from anywhere around the world no boundaries no barriers.
With bitcoin sky is the limit no one can stop you from using your own money, you can buy anything you want unlike fiat money or credit cards.

137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam? What to do next. on: September 30, 2019, 03:29:46 PM
So okay, this story didn't happen to me. It happened to a friend (let's call him Bob) of a friend (I will call him Sam).

Bob came to me asking is this a scam and is it legal. Bob doesn't know much about bitcoins and crypto, Sam even less.
Sam somehow got in contact with people who offers to open an account and invest into crypto. These people guaranteed a lot of profit. Sam paid 500 EUR at first and other two times a 2000 EUR.
What is interesting, that these people calling him to invest more. But he has an app (I don't know what app, because I heard it from Bob and he doesn't know either) which shows that Sam has doubled his investment (9000 EUR), but he cannot withdraw it now and these people (from Russia) are calling and rushing him to invest even more.

Bob asked me about that, I said that this is some nonsense. There shouldn't be people calling you and asking to transfer money. All is too fishy.

What should Sam do? Will the police help?

This is a fucking SCAM better call the police for help if not he'll lose all his money. Scammers are everywhere these days! Never trust any business that guarantees profit for your investment that is the number sign of a SCAM be very careful next time.
