121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MΣC] Megacoin.co.nz - Website Launched! on: July 24, 2013, 07:32:41 PM
I am on windows 8 64 bit and since I upgraded to new 0.8.994  (cool looking and different wallet - finally one that doesn't look like every other one).. I get errors and it crashes and closes.  I removed all appdata but wallet so it could re-download chain but it just gives me a "System error: CDB(): can't open database file wallet.dat, error -30974"  I believe there is a problem.  All other wallets I own work fine.. so it's not me.. anyone else have this happen or have a fix?

[Update]
I removed my wallet.dat from the appdata and let it create a new address and download blockchain again.. then moved my wallet.dat back to replace one it created after the whole blockchain was reloaded.. and now it "seems" to be working again with my original wallet address...I shall keep eye on it.. just to let you know in case this happens to anyone else.. at least its not crashing any more.. this could be some kind of upgrade problem when installing and uninstalling newer versions of megacoin wallet software on Win8(64).

That sounds weird, I have never had any issues with it. When in doubt, backup the wallet.DAT and re-install everything. That usually seems to work for any coin.

Ah thank you for doing this! I didn't want to go through the effort. I thought showing the hidden pictures was enough to get the message across, I guess it was not.

That is a really good password hahah

Very interesting coin.

Any hopes for it to go to cryptsy?

Keep requesting Cryptsy to add it.

Go and clear all your history / cache from a day or two ago.

It let me on after that.

WTS some DMD PM me if interested

you can try the coins-e.com, hope cryptsy will list it soon.

Coins-e removed it for 'maintenance'

No where to sell it at the moment.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone doesn't like cryptsy... on: July 24, 2013, 04:15:21 AM

Better than the Russians that require bribes to add coins.

That being said, the website is pretty funny.

That is because it is not anywhere to be found but in the insecure directories which can be browsed easily. Don't get too excited, it is just some stock art that may or may not have had the royalties paid for.

Thanks for clarifying. I'm sure the insecure directories don't have anything that they don't care about being public. They definitely chose great artwork to fix up for the design, very fitting. Much better color usage and scaling. Very professional look that themes well with the service.

Oh and don't tell me not to get excited. Merchant tools is one of the most important services a coin needs to see increased market cap. Think how Gox's merchant tools affected BTC. If it wasn't for these kinds of services I highly doubt BTC would have ever seen the popularity it has.

Bridge will easily make these coins standard methods of payment across a wide variety of websites.

I know iamatrix did a lot of payment software for credit card, etc. He knows about security.

Saw the PCI compliant image hiding in the folder as well, I find that hard to believe at this stage that it would be compliant. I will take your word for it though.

Not blindly posting.

If you need a front end web developer, just ask.

The website is built as if it was 2002, and it gives an impression that the system itself will be similar as well. Table for a navigation menu? Images everywhere? Padding issues? Using <br> for spaces? It is still early but it is very surprising to see such things.

Looks aside my main concern is security for you guys. Security needs to be your #1 concern if you want to keep customers and instill confidence.

I hadn't seen this yet but love the looks of the design, very professional! Also thanks iamatrix for keeping us up to date on the bug fixing. Surely best the site be bug free with a slight delay then no delay and frustrating ya know?

Great work guys knew choosing PXC was going to be a winner  Cool

I PM'ed him but he probably gets a ton of messages daily.
