121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: February 04, 2018, 02:51:33 PM
Can someone with greater experience objectively explain what/why is currently happening with Litecoin. For hte past 1 hours I have been watching the charts for every minute candles. Patters are weird. USD price is dropping compared to this morning, LTC/BTC price is pumping. Are we just witnessing another pump and dump story on the back of good old litecoin or the network news form the morning are legit (even if so, charts show price decrease from 170+ to 150+ USD).
122  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: February 03, 2018, 04:30:36 PM
Slush pool sent out an e-mail earlier this week stating the pool servers would go under maintenance and the dbase as well. Usually the mining is not affected but you will see the wrong info at the website till everything has updated.

Yeah, but after the maintenance was over, all was the same, I noticed the drop in hash power and workers state today.
In anycase, as I was out of ideas, I logged into the miners again and on the configuration screen, I just re-entered slushpool stratum address >> save and apply and in 15 minutes the Slushpool dashboard showed workers as active.

Quite a weird case, I hope I didn't lose a couple of mining hours like that.

Guys, a little help will be appreciated. I have 2 S9's connected to Slush, so far they have been working with no issues. As of 2 hours ago, I got a notification of miners being offline from Slush pool dashboard. I went to check the machines physically, they are all green, they can be accessed via IP, also ping in their Network diagnostics works fine.

However Slush dashboard still shows them offline with has power of some ridiculous MH/s.

Anyone experienced something similar before?

Can someone remind me what was the syntax in the miner start .bat file in order to give a name to different workers?

So is it something like:

./minerd -a yescrypt -o stratum+tcp://yourpool -u yourwallet -p yourpassword -n workername

If your are using windows try: yourminer.exe -a yescrypt -o stratum+tcp://koto.ezpool.eu:3032 -u YOURADDRESS.YOURWORKERNAME

The pool is located in germany, you can also choose another pool, the syntax is the same for all K-NOMP pools. I would be happy if you chose my pool, if the ping is working out for you Smiley
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me in discord bababababa#7031

Yeah, thanks! Works like a charm. Actually I am using your pool (along with Greentech), it has a perfect ping for my location.
Also I noted a higher yield of koto today (with the same hash power I have). Either the global pools hash power decreased or the better ping is contributing to mining more.
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 02, 2018, 12:16:14 PM
Any predictions for ETH bottom price? I've put stop losses orders at $700.

*PS. no offence to Korean (proven FUD) or Indian (news not yet officially confirmed) traders, but these are not the biggest markets and the current crash is a major one. So reason for the red candles should be sought somewhere else.

127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: February 02, 2018, 11:18:25 AM
Guys, number of active workers in my pool (will not mention name, but it is one of the most popular) is increasing every day for this week.
Only for yesterday it was nearly 7% increase in number. Very very interesting trend, like this difficulty will raise as hell. Now with Bitmain shipping T9 in 10 days and S9 in 2 months only, ASIC mining in short term will be a big challenge IMO.

For me too, whenever I try to access it, I get:

This page isn’t working
koto.poolof.work didn’t send any data.

129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 01, 2018, 12:19:35 PM
Are we witnessing today the long waited breakthrough of Ethereum/Bitcoin chart dependency? Or is this a temporary phenomenon. If I am reading the charts correct, today Bitcoin and its little Lite brother are big time falling down in sync, while Ethereum is in the green against btc, eur and usd.

My wallet windows will not open.
I already started the "int" file and downloaded it.
I unpacked the file KotoSwingWalletUI but it did not appear executable from the wallet or bat.
I am lost on how to generate my address and the website for inline wallet is giving 504 Gateway error Undecided Undecided Undecided Undecided

You can either start directly the .jar file or create yourself a .bat file to start it (just google how to make java bat file).
But first and foremost, you need to install the wallet (click on the original file).

All of the above can happen only if you have Java installed on your PC.

Pretty interesting. Is there anyone who mine on the Nvidia GPU, for example 1060 or 1070, what is the performance?

No, this is only CPU mining coin. Worthless to use video cards.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Japanese Anonymous Cryptocurrency Koto [Yescrypt][CPU mining][Zcash clone] on: January 30, 2018, 10:27:10 PM
Yep, need more price, i had 2.7 kh in i5 and 1.3 on i3, maybe 0.2 per koto C:

Interesting predictions. Do you guys know that the bounty for the logo was 30 000 koto? How much is that into real money if one of the price predictions is true? Do the math yourselves Smiley

PS. My hash power is similar, yield is very small from it
133  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: January 30, 2018, 01:45:07 PM
Interesting, is anyone actually using T9s? They were not available for quite some time. Now shipping in 10 days? Can anyone decipher Bitmains strategy here? They release weaker miners like T9 and A3, shipping in 10 days, while the S9 are not available at all.
134  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: January 29, 2018, 06:33:51 PM
hi guys,

could you tell me how you do to be warned when s9 are available in real time ? Is there a trick ? You pay someone to stay all the time in front of bitmainshop screen refreshing?!
You keep it secret ?  Wink
Because prices here from sellers are just crazy ( 3700 / 4500?  Shocked  they can keep it and put them...)

I've red something about Telegram ?! ( I precise I'm in europe .)

thank you.

I am in Europe too.
Just add this to your Telegram contacts:
@BitmainNotifyBot

And be prepared to be buzzed everyday when they release the Litecoin miners and PSUs SmileySmileySmiley
But eventually they will release S9 too, just keep an eye on the bot.

Me again sorry but I dont see how or where to add it : I'm new in telegram and the only tabs I have in add contact are name and tel number ? Where can I add @BitmainNotifyBot please ?

No problems. When you start Telegram, go to Contacts >> and then in the search field, just paste @BitmainNotifyBot
Then it will appear.

Logo is strange for us Westeners and as one guy said - it has so much in it Smiley
But if you look it from Japanese culture perspective, it is actually all fine, contains all of the significant symbols.
137  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: January 29, 2018, 11:16:23 AM
Apologies, I'd like some help with my question.

Whats the benefit of changing the default diff set to 128 on slushpool higher or lower?

Thanks in advance.

Take a look at this help article:
https://slushpool.com/help/first-aid/troubleshooting

Also if your machines show near the hardware specs hash power and there is no big fluctuation in it, I wouldn't play with the difficulty setting. Let us know.

Yes, there is a guide for koto, it is relatively simple that I created:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2728195.msg28494492#msg28494492

Good luck mining 1000 koto now, difficulty raised a lot; unless you have a monster CPU though Smiley
What other similar coins which can be mined with CPU did you find recently? Would you share?

Thank you for the guide! Is it possible to solo-mine?

Well, I don't think solo will be profitable at all. Better to join a pool depending on your location.

As a reference I can show you luck with a couple of kh/s: 4357001.392 Days. While the medium size pool total hash power of 2 mh/s has luck of 3572.831 Days and finds around 20 blocks per day. So do the math if you can find a block solo at all Smiley

What about merger of litecoin and monero, is it just the rumor?

Really? I follow Charlie Lee on twitter and recently he posted something that Litecoin and Monero are the two legit crypto currencies. I guess this turned out to be the rumour beginning. Are there any other posts?
