hi guys,

could you tell me how you do to be warned when s9 are available in real time ? Is there a trick ? You pay someone to stay all the time in front of bitmainshop screen refreshing?!
You keep it secret ?  Wink
Because prices here from sellers are just crazy ( 3700 / 4500?  Shocked  they can keep it and put them...)

I've red something about Telegram ?! ( I precise I'm in europe .)

thank you.

I am in Europe too.
Just add this to your Telegram contacts:
@BitmainNotifyBot

And be prepared to be buzzed everyday when they release the Litecoin miners and PSUs SmileySmileySmiley
But eventually they will release S9 too, just keep an eye on the bot.

Me again sorry but I dont see how or where to add it : I'm new in telegram and the only tabs I have in add contact are name and tel number ? Where can I add @BitmainNotifyBot please ?

No problems. When you start Telegram, go to Contacts >> and then in the search field, just paste @BitmainNotifyBot
Then it will appear.

I hope you have registered on the Bitmain site. They send us emails announcing new batches. Its usually available on Twitter also (75% of the time). If you have already bought a few times from their site, the chances that they will let you know about batches increases drastically. I wouldnt trust telegram completely. Regarding prices, you should be able to get it at the same price as Bitmain plus import VAT plus airport clearance paperwork (if going through an agent). It will not cost you more than EUR 2800 to buy a S9, inclusive of APU + shipping + Import VAT + Customs Clearance + Logistics to data center + Installation charges. These are Georgia rates. This is assuming the prices from the last batch.

Please make sure that you go ahead with a data center that does not charge you much to order the miner for you. You can generally trust data centers that make their money on the monthly maintenance charges. If they charge you a huge premium to buy the miner on your behalf, it won't work out well for you with bulk orders. Yes, you need to pay something extra for someone who manages to place the order in less than 100 seconds (It's not easy. Trust me.). And now some batches have an individual limit of 20 machines per account. Some batches are still bulk batches. Hope this helps. Please feel free to ask me more about this if you have more queries. We have been buying regularly from Bitmain for more than a year now and have had a decent success rate in ordering. It was really hard in the beginning, but its smooth now.

Hi guys,

I am curious if any of you have had luck getting Bitmain to switch your order to a new order.
Thinking of getting a few T9+ instead of my March batch S9... I just feel like the 10 days to ship out and $300 lower price on each unit would make up for the fact that they are 20-30% less efficient...

Also, I am wondering what kind of hash rates you are seeing running S9 with the original APW3++ power supply on 110v circuits. I don't seem to ever see anything over 12.5THs on various batches.
On the 4 S7 that I used to have I never had an issue running them on 110v but I feel like these s9 are taking my 15 amp circuits close to their 80% limit...

My S9s are running on 220V and hashrates are exactly as advertised.

If you mean hashrates at the pool, you need to check your connection. Ping the pool servers and choose the fastest one.

and what are the chances that they will release another batch for half the price with a delayed delivery like they did with the A3?!

Samsung has officially announced that they have begun production of ASIC miners today. So it is a possibility that Bitmain is making some moves

I thought those new Ebang miners had Samsung chips in them already...

don't know about the chips in those, but this is Samsung making complete miners. Also mentioned GPU miners down the road. Looks like they are fully committed to taking on Bitmain head on

I just realized actually that for both orders I am about 23-27 dollars off. I really hope these guys don’t play games and ask for more. In the future it’s clear that I should probably just pay in crypto to avoid all these headaches. Not to mention the 35 dollars it took to send the funds to them.

they will ask you to pay the balance in BCH

A lot better than sending another wire that’s for sure. I guess let’s see if they ask or just let us slide.

Anybody has an idea what will be the hash rate for the same mashine as S9, but with 12nm chips (instead of 16nm) ?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

------------------------------
Bitmain Urgent Order 100k 12nm Chips From TSMC In 2018

According to Digitimes, TSMC has received an urgent order from Bitmain for 100k 12nm HPC (high performance computing) chips at the beginning of 2018. 10k chips will be delivered every month in Q1 2018 and more in Q2.

HPC is a the key element for the development of advanced technology applications such as artificial intelligence, AR / VR and bitcoin mining equipment. Previous report indicates that order from Bitmain has overtaken Hisilicon in terms of 10nm chips in December 2017. Hisilicon is the provider of Kirin chips for Huawei, the largest mobile phone producer in China now.

In the teleconference held in Q3, TSMC said that the cryptocurrency ASIC has generated 350 million -400 million revenue for the Company. In contrast, revenue from AI chips is expected to be only 400 million USD for 2017 full year. The booming of cryptocurrency mining market has also drawn the attention of other wafer makers. Recently, Samsung Electronics signed a contract with Baikal, a bitcoin mining hardware manufacturer in Russia, to manufacture mining ASIC chips, which is scheduled for mass production in January 2018 in 14nm process.

According to the latest quarterly earnings of TSMC, the quarterly revenue of cryptocurrency mining businesses is around 375 million USD, accounting for 5.1% of the Group’s sales. However, as the price of cryptocurrencies continues to rise, the business segment is likely to grow rapidly. HPC demand from mining cryptocurrency is expected to boost TSMC revenue in 2018.
TSMC also expects Bitmain to be first batch of client for its 7nm process in 2018.

Bitmain also march on the AI market with its Sophon TPU BM1680. Although Cannan  and Ebang just released their latest miner at the end of 2017, both of them are not considered equal opponent of Bitmain.

Interesting, is anyone actually using T9s? They were not available for quite some time. Now shipping in 10 days? Can anyone decipher Bitmains strategy here? They release weaker miners like T9 and A3, shipping in 10 days, while the S9 are not available at all.

I am assuming that they have the logistics nailed down and have no problem going from manufacturing to shipping thousands of units in a matter of days. Over the last 2-3 months I read more and more that they actually are delivering units 2-4 weeks ahead of schedule. Let's hope that is still the case as I am waiting on March S9 batches.

I think S9 march batches will be the last S9, i think there will be new miner using new chip after.

Why do you think so? I haven't seen any solid info showing Bitmain's making a new miner or at least a new Bitcoin ASIC chip, and they are still in a good position to make money by just lowering the price of their S9 if more competition comes around.

May be i am wrong, dont know. It is clearly bitmain is changing strategy now make faster shipping 10 days after full payment and dumping stock.

If you ask me the whole "ships within 10 days" is copying what some of the other sellers are doing. Justifying the higher price by getting it to you faster.
