121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice for new comers on: November 07, 2023, 08:06:05 AM
What they need to prepare for new gamblers is to clearly understand the rules of the game they want to play. We must gamble with knowledge. The second thing is my experience, and I want to share my experience with these new people. It is foolish to advise you to bear many losses from the money we invest. Feel that loss. And learn to get used to losing in gambling. Know how to control yourself when you lose. That's a way to spend money to buy valuable lessons.
I don't want to see new gamblers win the first game they play. It could be a bottomless pit waiting for them.
122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: November 06, 2023, 11:43:16 PM
Man City vs Young Boys: How can you stop the King?
Now, they need to deal with Young Boys to have soon tickets to play in the 1/8 round of the Champions League. In Group G, Man City currently has 9 points and 1st place. Man City only needs a draw against Young Boys to advance. The goal of Pep Guardiola and his team in the match against Young Boys will be to quickly overwhelm the opponent to get many goals. Young Boys is not a team that can prevent Man City from winning. I believe Man City will win big in this match.
123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: November 05, 2023, 11:24:29 PM
The win of Monaco and Nice now is making the French Ligue 1 very interesting and competitive and honestly I did not Nice to win tonight, they have not been that consistent usually in their campaigns, sure they have always been a good team of Ligue 1 just not quite enough to fight for the title in a consistent way.Now they have 25 points with near half of the league games near completed as just some 7-8 games have remained until we end the half of the season.

Monaco on the other hand despite being there, they have made some errors which if they didn't they would be at over 30 points right now leading comfortably.Paris is back and we know when they start doing seriously they are the strongest contender, let's see how it ends.
Great to see that there is a very strong competition in the French Ligue 1 on who will go home with the league title at the end of the season. The league was before regarded by many as a "one club" league but with what we've seen so far from other serious contenders , I think it's absolutely safe to say that Paris Saint Germaine will have to stand on their feet if they must win than to relax with the belief that they're gonna win the league title at the end regardless of whichever way the chose to perform.

Yes, I want fierce competition in this tournament instead of it being arranged to belong to 1 big team. I mean, I hope French Ligue 1 will develop into a fiercely competitive league like the English Premier League. Thus, club fans will be even more excited when their team has a chance to win the championship. There will be many surprises instead of predictable results, and the best part is that top stars and coaches will be keeping an eye on this tournament. That will help take the game to the next level.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it the right time to invest in Bitcoin? on: November 05, 2023, 11:15:46 PM
The best time to invest in btc was yesterday. The second best is to start dca before new ath. So, you still have a plenty of time to begin with
I have seen a couple of posts like this on social media influencer accounts that are into crypto. The same, they say that the best time was like a century ago or a couple of years ago.

And the second best is right now and yes, that's before the new ATH and halving comes.

These words are going to be the same again if told to the new investors if they feel that Bitcoin is kind of expensive by that time.
We cannot go back and fix the past, if we don't buy now, we will never get a second chance. In my opinion, newbies should stop asking questions like this and instead learn about bitcoin and they will know whether to buy bitcoin or not. They should buy now, or should skip bitcoin and not invest in it if they still think it is too late to invest. Because 10 years later if they come back with this question, they will still get the same answer: invest from now on.
125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I did just to invest in Bitcoin. on: November 05, 2023, 10:57:54 PM
Bitcoin is a great investment but it would be a foolish decision to sell your family land to invest in Bitcoin. No one can know what will happen, not even bitcoin, so we often advise each other to only invest what we can afford to lose. But in this case, you sold your family assets to invest in bitcoin and you are just a newbie with no knowledge about bitcoin. You invest just because you see many people improving their lives thanks to bitcoin, moreover you have no knowledge about bitcoin so your investment is a bad investment.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the best advice or should I just let him on: November 05, 2023, 10:49:09 PM
Should I give him advice on how to manage his gambling activities or I just let him since he is just enjoying his senior years and doing things that he missed doing when he was still young? and what's the right approach, we all know senior citizens are sensitive to criticism.
As a senior citizen, they have experienced life, and actually there is no advise that you want to give them then they have not heard before or know themself. Let the senior citizen be and let him enjoy what is left of his life, the way he wants to enjoy it. Not everyone needs your advice every time, some people understand very well the consequences of their actions and still go ahead with it. It is not your duty to play advisor always.
Yes, they have enough knowledge at this age. Maybe deep down, they know this is not good for them. But they want to enjoy what they like, even if it's wrong. It's completely valid in this case. We will also fall into that situation later, yearning for things our youth cannot do. Because time cannot come back for us to do that, let's do it while we can, even if we get older. What we need to do is help them silently monitor or, in the worst case, peacefully resolve the consequences they cause.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 05, 2023, 10:26:34 PM
Sacking Erik Ten Hag is not a good idea for both parties ( Manchester United and Erik Ten Hag ). If the club has backed him up amf won't let him down this should be referred to as speculations.

Most games I'm excited with Antony and even if I want him to do better than he is currently doing for Manchester United. I'm more pissed with Marcus Rashford than anyone. Lad has not been useful to Erik Ten Hag yet he gets on the game. Garnacho has played better in recent development than Rashford.

Antony to be sold? That's not happening.. Manchester United indeed lacks good attacking players.

The problem is that you can't please some fan base. I hate to see when fans are toxic and intolerance with their own players. Some weeks ago, they bully Onana as if he was their main problem but I love the same energy he return because he doesn't give a sh!t about them, he take correction from the manager where needed and that's it. But they all became loyalists when he save that great penalty that gave them lead against Copenhagen.

In the end, it's not all the time team will succeed in making good deliveries for the club, they can and they can lost but they can adjust and do better, that's what even the board will hope for and not call for sack here and there because as they say, the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know. The next manager that replace Erik might be worse than this.

In my personal opinion, Erik Ten Hag also started well at MU. He is doing an excellent job as the new coach of MU compared to the old coaches. We should give him time. I want to remind him of one thing: the team is not in good form, and the players are gradually losing their bravery. The fault here will belong to Erik Ten Hag. He should not blame and punish his players. Ten Hag should reflect on his tactics and attitude, being too strict with his students. Currently, there is no outstanding candidate to replace his hot seat.

128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FTX CEO Sam Bankman Fried found guilty on: November 03, 2023, 11:33:20 PM
hope this teaches other dodgy CEX's a large lesson
I hope it will, but i am not optimistic on that. If people still store their funds in centralized exchanges after ftx and other exchanges collapsed, then surely centralized exchanges would continue to commit fraud and fractional reserve scam with their customers' money. It is as simple as that, many of these services are run by shady and corrupt people and since they control a lot of gullible people's funds, they would try to use that money to make more for themselves.

Do you think that after the collapse of FTX, governments will increase regulation for exchanges? If that happens, fraudulent exchanges will no longer exist, but it will also mean that we will once again be controlled by the government. That's the scenario I'm thinking of.
The collapse of FTX and the imprisonment of SBF, is not a warning to the remaining CEXs, it is a good reason for the government to have the right to intervene in the market and regulate things.
129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Solves This - Money and Banking on: November 03, 2023, 11:23:39 PM
Here's my observation from personal experience of holding bitcoin:

  • Bitcoin, prompted me to explore concepts like blockchain technology, decentralization, and the flaws in traditional financial systems.
  • Holding Bitcoin made me to start learning about the technology, economic principles, and the fundamentals of currency and transactions.
  • Holding bitcoin lead me to research and explore the underlying principles of money, thereby increasing my level of financial knowledge.
  • Holding and understanding bitcoin have enabled me to be able to delve into discussions about the flaws and inefficiencies of conventional banking systems and the potential solutions proffered by it.

For the record, we could learn all about the flaws even without holding the Bitcoin but governments and people at power intentionally create systems like education, lending, and anything that stops us from paying attention to what it is and just chasing behind it forever.

Bitcoin acted as catalyst to bring this into spot light then only we are actually introduced to the concept of decentralization even today people are ignorant about bitcoin and significance of decentralization but sooner or later everyone will come on board.

Yes, even without bitcoin, if OP is passionate about finance, he can still learn these things, financial knowledge has been around for a long time but OP did not pay attention to it. Books about money and economic recession...were also published by many authors many years ago before bitcoin was born.

But it cannot be denied that since bitcoin was born, many people have also begun to learn more about finance, including OP. You're right, bitcoin is a powerful catalyst to bring those issues to light.
130  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you gamble because you don't have sufficient money? on: November 03, 2023, 11:22:13 PM
There are a lot of people looking to gamble because they don't have enough money. Everyone thinks that gambling is the fastest way to make money. I was no exception. When you first start gambling. I want to earn enough money to spend on family activities. But I was wrong. I lost quite a bit of my savings thinking there would be rewards in this game. Now, I realize that gambling should only be for entertainment and not a place for us to earn income.

Quantum Computers Can Not Defeat Bitcoin, not even The Bitcoin Network
Everything about quantum computers being able to beat bitcoin has only been discussed in theory, there is no reality showing that it is possible. Personally, I never believed that quantum computers could decrypt bitcoin or destroy the blockchain. These speculations have never been reliable.

For me until now, blockchain and bitcoin are still sacrosanct and no one can attack or defeat it. It is difficult to predict anything in the future because of technological developments, but currently it is impossible.
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No advertisement for btc on: November 03, 2023, 11:07:09 PM
I was just reading this post and thought crossed in my mind that there has been no advertisement for Bitcoin. It's all growth has been natural, it's quite surprising if you think about it.

isn't it, there's a money topic discussing what the OP asked about!
Bitcoin is not like shitcoin which requires marketing to be known to many people, Bitcoin is the first crypto asset which has made the world excited since its inception, even one of the legendary stories (bitcoin pizza day) related to Bitcoin still survives to this day, since was first satoshi circulates bitcoin, he never applies marketing to bitcoin, he knows that bitcoin will be big in the future, bitcoin will always stay at the top of the crypto asset standings without the need for marketing, the price of bitcoin is completely influenced by market sentiment.

Simply because the purpose of creating bitcoin was to create a decentralized currency, a means of peer-to-peer payment. Meanwhile, Altcoins was created as an investment project to seek profit, so it is easy to understand that advertising is indispensable. But I disagree when you say that Satoshi knew about the future of bitcoin, if he was still alive he would be surprised by what is happening. He once said, “bitcoin will either be nothing or will have huge trading volume”, he does not guarantee anything and knows anything in advance.
133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a “safe haven asset” on: November 03, 2023, 10:57:48 PM
Bitcoin will always be a risky investment most especially for beginners who are still inexperienced in the market. The fact that its market is never certain and bitcoin price moves like a roller coaster, then calling it as a safe -haven investment will remain as an illusion. However,  I still believe that bitcoin will be less volatile in the years to come, and probably by that time bitcoin will act like more of a safe haven rather than calling it as a high risky investment.

Currently, bitcoin is not really a safe haven, it is just a risky investment with high profits but comes with high risks. That makes it impossible to become a safe haven.
Bitcoin's volatility has also decreased a lot over the years and there will come a time when it will reach its peak and no longer be so volatile. Then it will be like gold, it can become a safe haven but will no longer be a potential investment.
134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not share your bitcoin holdings with everyone on: November 02, 2023, 08:58:52 PM
Not just with bitcoins, never show off your assets to anyone, thieves or kidnappers, they don't just need your bitcoins but they will take anything of value from you. So, showing off your wealth to others is just stupid. Stories of kidnapping for ransom in bitcoin, or threats to rob bitcoin, are similar to stories of robbery of valuable property. I mean, not only should we not show off bitcoin, but even assets like gold or fiat should never be shown off. Bitcoin is just money, nothing to brag about.
135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Late To Invest In Bitcoin? on: November 02, 2023, 08:47:30 PM
I am a 20-year-old student. Not long ago, I heard a famous cryptocurrency expert in Korea on YouTube.

He said, "Bitcoin investment seems to be late, to be honest. I'm sad, too. I think 2018 was the last chance for ordinary people."

This makes me feel depressed. That expert started investing in bitcoin in 2013, and he encouraged his acquaintances to invest in bitcoin, but at that time he said everyone thought he was crazy.

Honestly, as an ordinary college student, the price of bitcoin now feels too much to buy.. If it's the price of the early 2010s, I might have bought it through a part-time job..

I'm so pathetic and depressed because I didn't know Bitcoin quickly. What should I do? Cry

If you came here to ask about whether to invest in bitcoin or not and whether it is too late to invest in bitcoin. I can say that everything is still too early and you can start now, don't listen to what anyone says.

You're only 20 years old and you come here to complain and be depressed...I don't think anyone wants to hear that. Because I bet you, even if you knew about bitcoin in 2010, you would not have dared to invest in bitcoin, you are regretting bitcoin because now you know about its value. If you don't get up and learn about bitcoin now, I'm sure 10 years from now you'll regret it even more.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 01, 2023, 11:06:29 PM
We've seen the mess that Todd Boehly and the former Chelsea coach helped create. If you want to clean it up or turn it into something cohesive, you have to… slowly. Chelsea is the team that has spent the most money in recent transfer periods, but the results on the field are not commensurate with the investment. Currently, although Chelsea is poor, coach Pochettino's position is temporarily guaranteed. We need to give him time to find a way to lead the team to victory. It can be said that Chelsea is making significant changes this summer and needs time to stabilize. We should wait and see.

Yeah that's right, Chelsea have done their best by recruiting some expensive players and replaced several coaches but the results did not match expectations so I agree Chelsea just need time to adjust everything and find the strategy and rhythm of the game. We know Pochettino has ability but currently he cannot implement the strategy well for several reasons basically he still has time until the end of the season.

As far as I know, Chelsea's squad is too bulky. The fired coach, Graham Potter, once complained. The American boss bought too many players but needs to learn how to execute plans with them. Coach Mauricio Pochettino will be the one to clean up these mistakes. This recruitment does not belong to Pochettino. In the next transfer season, the board of directors will give Pochettino full authority to freely buy and sell players he thinks are suitable for the club. Taking complete control can help Pochettino develop his talent as a coach. If Chelsea continues to be poor in the near future, we have the right to place all responsibility on Pochettino.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your one memory related to Bitcoin that you want to forget? on: November 01, 2023, 11:47:52 AM
What is your one memory related to Bitcoin that you want to forget? It can be anything like some sort of scam happening to you or some other type of loss.
Even though I had a lot of bitcoins and maybe hundreds of them in the past, and I sold them early, participated in ponzi games, used them for gambling...but all without regrets. To me, everything is experiences and life lessons that help us become more mature. Furthermore, there are still many opportunities available to us and it is up to us to seize them or continue to miss them. So I see no need to be sad or think about the past with regret. Life is about moving forward, not back, so why do we keep remembering it?
138  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Does Faucet give real bitcoins every few hours? on: November 01, 2023, 11:42:07 AM
Those claims are a total waste of time for me because the amounts are so low. However, it is a free something and free things sometimes don't give us what we need. I know a person that just depends on those kinds of things and he can wait to achieve just those little things he is expecting to get. Such a person can just sit down the whole day just to get those little things he is hoping to have.
For me, I don't think that claiming those airdrops is an important thing. Think about trying to withdraw your claims after a long time you have been claiming those airdrops. That's the moment you will realize that you have wasted all your time doing rubbish.

In the past, faucets used to give a lot of free bitcoins to a lot of people but today that is no longer the case because the price of bitcoins has become too high. Indeed, if someone wants to earn free bitcoins and going to faucets is actually a waste of time and it would be unrealistic to think that a significant amount of bitcoins can be accumulated from there. Things have changed and we need other ways to collect bitcoins other than faucets. Instead, they should find other ways to collect bitcoins or maybe invest in bitcoins directly.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LastPass hack - move your crypto assets to a more secure place right now! on: November 01, 2023, 11:27:24 AM
Yes, the last pass was really hacked last year in the month of December. But even though that happened, LastPass was still able to protect their customers' data using strong encryption, and it was not compromised as far as I know.

Maybe if there are still users who will use their last pass despite the events of the issue last year, it would be better for them to update their last pass accounts to the latest version. But if I'm the only one who can follow you, find someone else because there's already been a hole or it's still damaged somehow.

If Lasttpass can protect user data and it is not compromised then is the article the OP is referring to fake? If that article is not true, I believe Lastpass will object and even sue because it will ruin their reputation. There is no need to update to the latest version, but people using laspass should delete their account and all data on that app. To avoid worse accidents in the future. Lastpass is showing its weaknesses in the same area as other applications.
140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 31, 2023, 11:02:40 PM
In fact, he takes on more than his duties as a midfielder. Jude Bellingham manages to step up and carry his team whenever the team is in a critical period. This is a success story. This performance of a 19-year-old midfielder should be talked about. He has shots like a striker. The last goal he scored was like Valverde's typical goals. He is such a fascinating football player.
Yes, it is true that Bellingham is Real Madrid's most successful purchase this season. However he has done so far, at such a young age, it is already extraordinary. In fact, he plays an important role on the front line, and especially as the spearhead, even though on the other hand, he is not actually in that position. But so far, he has been able to contribute much better, beyond our initial expectations. At such a young age, it would be very valuable for Real Madrid to develop the talent he has, especially with his extensive flying experience, he can become more proficient on the front lines.

Jude Bellingham is a gift from God to Real Madrid. No one believes it's true! Before the season started, I thought this season they would struggle with young players when key striker Benzema suddenly left. Bellingham can immediately shine and become a pillar of Real Madrid. Who would have thought he would become so prominent so quickly? Bellingham played as if he had been playing for Real Madrid long. No one thought he had only played for Real for 3 months. He scored 12 goals for his new club in his first 13 matches. I congratulate Bellingham on what he has done recently. I hope he can maintain this achievement.
