I also hear miners will start to ship next week.
122  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 06, 2014, 01:32:58 AM
I have been monitoring these forums for that past month and simply HAD to register to throw my 2 cents in about AMT and their business ethic.

I am truly amazed at how many of you come to the defense of AMT based on what little communication and details about the products are given. I can understand maybe you are an early investor in the 1.2 TH miner, and having shelled out big bucks early: coming to their defense isn't going to guarantee you get your product versus someone who is cynical about their operation. The fact is, based on AMT's terrible communication to their investors, you have to GO OUT OF YOUR WAY to NOT be cynical/worried about AMT in general.

Here are some of my concerns:

1. There dozens of questions that have been posted here about the hardware, yet only the stupid trivial questions are being answered. Anything tech related that might involve some know-how seem to be overlooked. AMT is completely ignoring straight forward questions that I feel as an early investor in their start up, we should have a right to know. However, if you ask something stupid like "What color is the case going to be?" they jump right on that with an answer. Power consumption, heat, detailed hashing rate questions - those are all ignored.

2. The lack of good photos/video of their existing products and upcoming 1.2 TH miners. No offense to Biomech (the guy that was given a Miner for free) - but your videos and pictures were pretty terrible and do not put help put others at ease. We need someone that has a miner from AMT to take some nice high quality photos of the boards, case, and build quality. Pictures of their mining stats would also help put many peoples' worries at ease. We also need feedback from someone who paid ACTUAL money for their Miner, not some guy that was given one for free (because he's broke) - for all we know he could be friends with them, and is obviously biased towards defending them since they gave him a free Miner. Sorry, this just doesn't sit right with me.

3. The youtube video posted by Josh is very unconvincing of an actual hardware building operation. Looks like it was recorded in a small office with little to no hardware around or the end product in sight. We simply have a guy with a cheap acer laptop and a board running with heatsync and fan. His quick video doesn't address any questions that were asked: it's like they post this video to delay people from asking for refunds or taking action against them. Just enough to keep you waiting and waiting.

4. They are charging a LOT of money via Wire Transfers and Bitcoins (completely uninsured - they can run off with this money & good luck getting any of it back). Why would they do this? To avoid Credit Card fees? I mean, give me a good reason - please. If they are a legit company that plans on delivering; and charging what they are for these miners - then paying fees to process thousands upon thousands of dollars shouldn't really be a concern. This path they have taken has just left people feeling uneasy.

5. You would think with all of the scams that have been going on, these guys would take the high road and try to answer as much as they can to help put their customers at ease. All I see is the same behavior exhibited by previous mining operations. A> Take money from customer B> Not answer direct questions and provide little to no information or evidence of the products being produced C> Keep pushing delivery back and back with countless excuses and little to no follow up.

6. Grumpybearsgirl: I have seen all of her posts requesting her refund. Why hasn't this been resolved? Either she's trolling AMT (doubtful) or she's been victimized. We need to be coming to her defense, because anyone of us can be the next to never get our money back.

7. Latest post by Josh. A sticky note on a computer case saying "we've got the chips, time to get to work!", a screwgun on the table, and boards full of chips. Why not actually post some relevant answers instead of these quick short snapshots that are void of any real INFORMATION. Even if you're working 16 hour days, you can spend 30 minutes and put many of these questions to rest. No excuse!

In terms of these 1.0+ TH miners in general - let's call them the "Geese that lay golden eggs" - they will produce countless bit coins and pay themselves off in a few months. So why are they selling them in the first place? One would think if you had the capability to produce these machines, you'd simply run them yourselves and get rich.

Wait, I know why! They are using all of our seed money to buy the hardware, build the equipment, run the hardware themselves while pushing delivery back countless times, and as the chance for ROI dwindles (difficulty increases and overall network hashing rate increases) - they release them to their customers. The user who posted the graph earlier and explained this is SPOT ON. Keep in mind even if they are using all this pre-order money to run the hardware themselves and bank on it, this is the BEST CASE SCENARIO. At least at the end of the day you might actually get something (even if it won't meet ROI). I personally think many won't be getting anything at all.

If you pre-ordered and are constantly coming to their defense based on nothing other than HOPE that you haven't gotten ripped off - it's time to pull your head out of your ass and consider the fact that this whole operation has been conducted very shady, and we need to band together as consumers and pressure AMT for answers that we deserve. I really want to just start a productive dialogue in hopes that AMT will hop back on here and give us more than a few crappy photos and answer some of the valid questions asked.

I hope I'm wrong, really. I want everyone to get what they ordered then throw it in my face afterwards.

Thoughts?

sirminesalot   please stop this.  its not needed.  yes alot of us invested in AMT and we as buyers need to use our best judgment to invest with a company like AMT.  I am PRO AMT and have ordered and paid for my order.   This is not the place for this negativity.  This is a place to talk constructively with the community.  we DO NOT NEED BASHERS here.  We had that in the past and it helped no one.  Please keep it to yourself and ask for a refund if you want it.  Other wise go buy cointerra who just screwed this dec, jan , feb customers with underpowered and over power consuming specs.  Everyone is missing their mark.  Please be respectful of this form and the people are vested with AMT.
123  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 05, 2014, 03:33:09 PM
has anyone received an email from AMT in regards to their case options yet? i would think with production supposedly in full swing someone would have heard something.

nope not yet.  but i believe they are making the boards this week.
124  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: February 03, 2014, 03:25:23 AM
AMT .  Thanks for the pics of the case

Can you help me understand if there are any differences in the case and answer a few question i have.

- will the tower case have fans on the side.

-Will both the tower case and the rack case have the ability to hold the same amount of boards.  I believe you are allowing us to expand 1x board for that tower.  Is that the same or better for the rack

- Does the Rack version come with mounting rails?

-  Is there any delay getting the rack vs  the tower vice versa.

When do you estimate the first 1.2 th  unit will start shipping.

125  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: January 22, 2014, 02:14:47 PM
I know this isn't really the best place to do so but we have been trying to get our $$ back from AMT for a couple weeks now with various voicemails and emails sent their way and no response as of yet except 1 missed phone call returned.

If you could please, we would like our money returned for Order #1196.

We are trying not to get upset about it and be as respectful as we can.

We decided we jumped the gun and just want out. Simple as that.

Please AMT, refund our order. We'll keep calling/emailing in the meantime.

what did you order?
126  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: January 22, 2014, 01:08:44 AM

Yes its another expense most wouldn't choose to do, but we feel keeping production of these miners local, rather than outsourcing everything to china like most, will pay off in the end. Everything, less our lian li cases and the chip is now produced in America, by Americans.

AMT

WTF??? It was not supposed to be the chips from Bitmine (Switzerland)HuhHuh
Again we have confusing misleading info.

I assume English is not your native language so you're probably interpreting the sentence incorrectly.  What AMT is saying there is that the chips and the cases are NOT made in USA but all other components for the completed rig are made in the USA.

You are right about the language, but that's the importance of a comma

"Everything, less our lian li cases and the chip, is now produced in America, by Americans."

Better now?
Thanks in advance!

Ya grammatically it was not correct in AMT's original post.  Your version is technically the correct way to format that sentence.  Good or bad North American's have seemed to place less and less emphasis on punctuation and spelling in the last 20 years (myself included).  I personally make and read so many mistakes IRL and in various forums everyday that it just washes off unless the mistakes totally screw up the meaning or my understanding of the text.  I can see how it would make things a little more difficult for someone who doesn't speak English natively though!

You are all looking too much into this.   A few week ago everyone was saying AMT was a fraud  now we are correcting their gamer lol
127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: January 12, 2014, 11:42:41 PM
AMT updated their website.  For all Bitfury miners they are now showing acutal miners and not cad images.  Yeaa!!   Still not the miners with A1 chips Sad  but from the forum thread they should have A1 chips in the next two weeks.   Yeaa

WHo will ship first AMT or Cointerra???

I have Early jan batch of AMT 1.2 (which is over due) and Feb batch of cointerra.  I wonder if cointerra can deliver ontime since they have not even started shipping.

128  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: January 08, 2014, 07:30:40 PM
I did speak to AMT the other day.  Jim confirmed they ware waiting for the A1 chips to arrive before the 1.2 TH miners go into production.

no eta provided.
129  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: December 31, 2013, 10:17:53 PM
AMT Please give us an update!!!

A1 Chips are in hand by bitmine so what does this mean for our 1.2 Ths

Please update us.   STAY AWAY TROLLS so us who ordered from AMT can get updates.
130  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: December 31, 2013, 03:11:50 AM
Is there anyone out there that has received anything from this company in the last month and can vouch for their quality and service?

Nope not a peep.  No responses to any of my emails

i was hoping this was not the case.
131  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: December 27, 2013, 01:05:38 AM
AMT stepping it up on their website

- Now selling chips
- customer support area (password protected so i have no clue whats there).
- 1.2 th miner closeout (what does this mean should we expect 2.0 coming soon)

good stuff AMT.  Looking forward to picking up my order.

AMT let us know whats going on.  I still have hope.
132  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How Trolls Harrass Bitcoin Miner Manufacturers. on: December 25, 2013, 04:05:23 AM
Everyone... don't bother asking any question regarding AMT, they change their thread to what it is now and even deleted the OP. The only reply your going to get is from clenell calling you a troll or some other insult tossed at you. Just give it up, this thread is circling the drain.

Just read the thread and make up your own mind if you want to place an order with them.

You have a point

not a thirsty horse. just stop isawhim... no matter what you say or how you say it puppett and crew have made up their minds.

My mind follows perfectly simple logic and Bitmine's spec. But lets have you on record too: do you think AMT's 1.2 TH miner will achieve ~1.2 TH @600W or less?

forget the math.  will amt even deliver something that can do 1.2th?  The promised to delivery this month and have not been able to even post a picture of a 1.2th case.

Jesus christ, the people making the fucking chips had a 3 week delay announced Dec 10th.  Unless AMT is using someone else's chips IT IS NOT possible they will ship 1.2 Th/s miners in 2013.  The chips are still at the FAB they can not show a fucking thing because they don't have anything.  This is all common knowledge.

On dec 21st AMT said " Our chips come in next week, or at least are due to. "
Well they are partners with the manufacturer and should know when they should ship.  Seems like that delay didn't not affect AMT a full 3 weeks. hummmm....
its a hold our breath and wait game in the dark.

135  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra announces its first ASIC - Hash-Rate greater than 500 GH/s on: December 24, 2013, 10:39:04 PM
Cointerra has been highly professional so far when dealing with them. I sleep well at night with my order.

I have an order with both and AMT and Cointerra.  I have no worries about cointerra.  They have posted pictures of their cases cases and prototypes. which seem to be a real well engineered product.  Those guys know what they are doign.  Now lets see them deliver.

When cointerra started they were not good on communicants which lead me to believe all of these companies were un responsive.

AMT has been the worst.  Nothing no one knows.

for my sake any everyone else who ordered i hope they are legit and can deliver. Its unsettling they have not commented on anything regarding the 1.2 to expect their chips might arrive.  We have been told many things but no evidence.

i don't count the 80 - 192 ghz miners.  Its all about the big miners with the A1 chip.  Show us some good stuff.

heck ill make a video and how to demos it i got my unit just show us something we can be excited for!!!!!
136  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How Trolls Harrass Bitcoin Miner Manufacturers. on: December 24, 2013, 09:05:57 AM
how long time for delivery 1.2 miner? i live in connecticut

4 to 6 Weeks. Our chips come in next week, or at least are due to. Our setup is almost done and we're at final assembly stages of the 1.2th. Please feel free to place your order via the site and contact Sales@advancedminers.com for any questions, this really isnt the place for it.

Did you get confirmation chips shipped?  Are they showing up this week.  Hopefully   Shocked so!!'!
137  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How Trolls Harrass Bitcoin Miner Manufacturers. on: December 22, 2013, 03:47:25 AM
wow, no one is getting miners anywhere yet the network hashrate keeps flying up!!!

you'd think miners would of organized by now and have a bit more control and say over their money??

is it time to form an association?? nah, they are out to make millions themselves and hate on each other!!   Shocked

My miner from amt is supposed to come first week of jan ( Iam picking up at amt).  I will make a demo video as soon as I get it for everyone to see.   Fingers crossed.
138  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How Trolls Harrass Bitcoin Miner Manufacturers. on: December 22, 2013, 12:57:18 AM
I have ordered an AMT miner and i am waiting for it to ship. It would be great if this forum was constructive instead of all negative about AMT.  If AMT is a scam well i am out the money and it will suck for me.  If you think AMT is a scam don't order from them I think its that simple.  I think enough bashing is going on here.   Let's seem AMT come through or i will be out $.  No matter what, bitcoin mining is a risk so its matter if i take a risk with AMT or mining or both Smiley.

i am hoping for an on-time delivery for my miner from AMT and not worry soo much about them being a scam.   I would really like to learn from this forum about my miner from others when i get so i am not opening it and trying to make it work.

If you think AMT is a scam DONT ORDER FROM THEM go somewhere else.  For those of us who ordered from AMT need this to be a place to get updates and info and not a place where AMT is not comfortable posting info since everyone is going to analysis the color of the cough in the background.
139  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: December 21, 2013, 06:04:14 PM
Another classic jusr came up in another thread:

I know this is old but just found this post.  That is amazing.  its not a mining rig but just as good.
140  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: Advanced Mining technology (AMT) on: December 21, 2013, 03:45:53 PM
AMT

Can you give us an update on the 1.2 Th.  Are you shipping next week?
