people cry scam every time a new projects comes out that rivals their favourites. if they see it rivals the projects they are invested in then they see it as a danger to their investments. this holds back many projects that are in fact way better than older ones out there. bitcoin has nothing compared to other projects that came out since but remains the top dog. Eth is still a favourite even with it's huge fees and congested blockchain even though there are much better projects out there that are cheaper and less congested. look what the kittens did to the Eth chain. it is an uphill battle for new projects to get a foothold because people hold onto what they like even if theres better to be had

This coin was forked from Deeponion which the DO community were up in arms about .However Deeponion was itself a fork of another coin so their anger was pointless.
Most new coins are forked from BTC or other forks such as LTC or Dash. The critique of the DO supporters was not that Privcy was forked from DO, but that the Privcy team "forked" and copied the whole airdrop/sig campaign distribution model with zero new innovation. You might have more insights into the reasons why things happened they way they did, but for me as a former DO airdrop participant the whole Privcy project just looks like a "get-rich-quick-scheme" for their devs. It might have changed now, but if this is the case I am wondering why this coin has a $50k market cap. Looks dead to me, and if not it is probably crazily undervalued? As i said the team who are in place now are a great and honest bunch of guys imo,having worked with them. how the coin started, or if it was a quick money making scheme is a matter of opinion. It may have been seeing as the main dev seemed to abandon it when the prices plunged and big profits were not forthcoming. whoknows right? but what i do know is that now it is a working project with a team who will try their hardest to make something of it. As always, make your own mind up. it could be worth a gamble |

As a former mod on the privcy discord i can give some details. This coin was forked from Deeponion which the DO community were up in arms about .However Deeponion was itself a fork of another coin so their anger was pointless. Privcy was started by 3 admins. The main admin who was the lead dev just disappeared over christmas. He was unresponsive to attempts to contact him. He had all the passwords and access to the dev/bounty wallets so the coin looked ead at that point. What happened to that lead dev is not known by the team or community. At that time i chose to leave the project for my own reasons.
The remaining mod team took over the project with the blessing of the remaining original admin. The 2 main mods who took over are Bob-bit and Raypok i believe. Now those 2 guys are great and i believe can be fully trusted to do what they can to make the project a success.
At this time privcy is suffering the same problems as most projects out there in this crypto winter,a lack of funds for development caused by the coins drop in value as most coins have suffered. Once the bulls come back then the value will rise as there is still development going on on a smaller scale, and further development can go ahead as funds will become available.
If this coin does ultimately fail it will not be because of the team.
so at this point privcy could be a good chance to take a punt on a low cap future big gainner. Lets face it, we all look for these chances so we can ride high in a market like the one we had in 2017

older projects are constantly being improved upon. it's the way of things. so you might have an old favorite, like ETH for instance. but we know ETH has many problems with fees or congestion. there are better projects coming along. these projects will eventually blow these older ones out of the water with what they are doing.
Take a look at the project in my signature. that is working on all the flaws in existing projects like ETH,EOS,Tron and the like. the team have a refreshing approach to solving things and are all known. nothing is hidden

hate ico's. the concept is ok for having the funds for development but how many times does that development actually take place? most turn out to be a big money grab. i look for projects that are not ico's, wit han open and known team that actively and constantly develop that project. ddaps are the way to go for future.

these sorts of threads are ok to a point. i'm all for warning people of scams but as we all know many coins get called a scam simply because it is too like a project that someone is invested in and they see it as a rival. the problem is mud sticks. so when someone cries scam because they think a coin will take supporters away from their project they harm that coin even if it has the potential to forward crypto and it's tech. please remember that just because a coin is good and has a large following, it doesn't mean that coin can't be bettered with newer and better tech

I cannot express strong enough how big this could be. It really has all the features that future coins will need to make it big.
Anyone who is into the tech behind crypto will look at this coin and see what a chance this is for people to make it big like the last round of millionaires that were made in late 2017
You really need to stock up on this before it goes huge. once mainnet is launched very soon we will be starting a huge drive to get this coin known. At the moment it is a genuine hidden Gem. i know other projects shout the same stuff but please go and look at this for yourselves.

eth suffers with high fees and congestion on the blockchain. a new coin like Helios-protocol will use parellell blockchains, so each wallet will have it's own blockchain making it infinitely scalable, and any ddaps that use eth can seamlessely move to Helios. go take a look at it for yourselves. you will be impressed
