Nicehash have updated their NBminer to 39. Version which unlocked 70% of LHR cards, you will be fine mining on Nicehash mate just keep everything at auto, there are other algorithms that aren't affected by LHR for example ergo and Conflux but it depends on which LHR cards you have, ravencoin is more profitable on my 3070ti and ETH on 3060 LHR
will we ever 100% or close enough unlock or find a workaround the nasty LHR thing, i managed to grab two 3080s today at 1100$ only each, but they are LHR i believe, still am happy !... |

i have been mining with nicehash since months using Non LHR Cards, now those cards are more difficult to locate, my understanding is that nicehash switches to the most profitable minable coin, right ? so if one plugin mines at reduced LHR speeds, will nicehash mine automatically a better coin ? is LHR affecting only ETH hashrate or other algorithms ?
just trying to decide whether or not i should get more LHR cards,

If you are mining in a room with an air conditioner then I wouldn't worry ever about them overheating. Especially with only 5 GPUs. You need to consider the fact that gamers pretty much ABUSE their gpus and nothing happens, that's what the thermal shutdown programmed in the bios is for. If any GPU goes over a certain temp like 100C, there is a signal sent to the motherboard and it sends a shutdown to the computer. They do this because even if a GPU is idling, its possible a fan can die and it'll eventually reach a huge temperature and need to be shutdown.
Gamers keep their GPUs inside an enclosed case usually with poor cooling and they OVERCLOCK their GPUs. And what is worse they usually have SLI type setup where one GPU barely gets any air circulation and the GPUs are fine. They are built to handle extreme heat in those situations. So you shouldn't worry about your open air rig with an AC in the room.

am looking for a Trustable source to buy some graphics cards other than ebay or Amazon, and how is the 6700 XT for mining since i never mined with AAMD cards before only with 3070s

I don't know the answer to the first question but I know the answer for the second one.Rx 6700 XT is a medium/average graphic card for mining doing 47 Mhsh with almost the same power around 130-140 watt as the 3070 does 61 Mhsh.Not the best one for mining if you ask me,unless you find them at a really good price nowadays.I would not go with them for the long term mining.I would classify this card in the same league as the RTX 3060 normal,not the Ti version. i did some math to see which cards to get for my next rig (in CAD) and i got the following results... Card >>> Cost in CAD - MH/s RTX 3090 >> 3199 CAD - 120 MH RTX 3070 >> 1500 CAD - 62 MH 6800 XT >> 1880 CAD - 62 MH 6700 XT >> 1049 CAD - 44 MH Card/ Price per Mega Hash 3090 = 26.65 CAD/MH 3070 = 24.19 CAD/MH6800 = 30 CAD/MH 6700 = 23.84/MHapparently despite low hashrate the 6700 xt and 3070 are the most efficient !... finally am saying all this because am NOT seeing GPU prices dropping, and it seems big retailers like newegg have finally decided to sell above MSRP, so maybe its better to buy at those above MSRP prices as the situation is not changing from what i can tell... any thoughts am open to discussion... |

on my trezor i have stored my BTC for years now, I STILL HAVE ACCESS TO MY BTC AND MY TREZOR WALLET THANK GOD, but i wrote the 23 word (i think) passphrase on a paper and stored that paper in a safe place, but recently i F moved to a different country, i took those documents with me but i think i lost them !
You should keep passphrase separately from your 24 mnemonic words, but it is good thing to have several passphrase copies stored in different locations, and please don't trust flimsy human memory to remember anything. Safest thing would be to send your coins to different wallet you control, than reset you trezor wallet, generate totally new seed words and add new secure passphrase. am worried they might fall to the wrong hands ! so i need to change the passphrases which i no longer remember, how to do that ??...
Passphrase is like a added salt and once you mix it with your seed words you can't change it or remove it anymore, but you can create multiple passphrases just make sure you pick one that is secure mix of several words and numbers. thanks i already transfered my funds to a different wallet wiped the trezor memory set up the trezor all over again and wrote down the 12 words seed, is that right ?... this 12 words is one to use to recover your funds in case for example the trezor is lost or broken and described here: https://wiki.trezor.io/Recovery_seedi must admit i was confused a bit with the terms... so now i understand that the PASS PHRASE is only optional to create a HIDDEN WALLET: https://wiki.trezor.io/Passphrasecorrect ?. does it serve any other purposed if my wallet is lost or stolen ? thanks, i think i was confusing |

Hm months back a rx5700xt costs 500$ in my country, buying at 800+ each isn't that bad but know that there is a risk that market can go bearish at any time, I hope you are up for this? Your ROI will be so far away if such happens, RX5700XT can do 57mh I believe so it's not bad at all

Is it worth it paying this cost for 5x cards ??... I know ull probably say NO but am not seeing any thing on the horizon promising lower prices, some.predict gpu shortage to last up till 2023 My 3060 ti I bought them each for like 900$ each ow good luck finding near that price today on eBay etc... well thanks everyone guys, i might have been wrong after all...  the thing finally booted after a second reboot normally and now am mining for almost 24 hours straight... its kinda weird !... the funny part is this... MY rig will sometimes FREEZE after the first reboot when adding new GPU and installing drivers... the second time it will start normally and from there on i can reboot 10x indefinitely it will always work fine ! windows only freezes (need to reset) after the first reboot AFTER adding a new GPU, i think it has something to do with the server motherboard am using !... the only change i did in the bios was disabling Virtualization not sure if that fixed everything !... Motherboard issues can be too complicated at times, have you tried gen 2 on your motherboard first? Also it's possible that RAM could be the culprit because I have a intel motherboard that won't boot with two RAM sticks inserted in the motherboard if I install 4 GPUs on the motherboard, it's a weird issue cos I haven't seen such before
i couldnt agree more will try to reduce the number of stick, i 12x sticks ATM which came with the server since day one and wroking fine, but i guess its about time i run this rig with less ram slots !... thanks, |

Hi guys
I recently built my first gpu mining rig with 3x 3060 tis / 3070
Today I got some splitters (seemingly good and high quality) and decided to put on the fourth 3070
With the cards installed I was mining flawlessly for at least 3 days 24/7 straight !....
So now I turned off windows 10
Plugged in the fourth risers 009s and inserted the 3070 onto it...
Started the rig
It booted just fine to windows and since Nvidia drivers already installed for other cards then it started installing drivers for the 4th card
I monitored device manager card was showing with small warning sign and task manager said it was still installing driver repository... after few seconds drivers installed and the card showed PERFECTLY FINE IN DEVICE MANSGER !... But it was time to reboot windows before start using ...
Now I reboot windows, windows is loading but then stuck / freezes during loading and won't post !
Turned off, rebooted, same issue except windows is corrupted and needs to be repaired (apparently something went wrong when it was trying to boot) and it gave me bsod !...
I have Gen 1 enabled for all riser pcie slots and g4 decoding
Plz I need ur help to figure this out I got less knowledge and experience how to troubleshoot such issue
Any options i can try to change in bios ?!?
And is having a lot.of ram sticks on the board can coz such issues?? (It's a servers motherboard with 2 cpus and 192 gb ram)
Help appreciated...
