when bitcoin dips ltc usually has a dip also.
The LTC/USD has dropped, but the LTC/BTC price has actually gone up with today's BTC fall.

Looks like I'm on there twice for bids, but you can just delete both of those, as the 2 exchanges are working just fine for me.
Thanks again for the service!

Buying 2k FTC for 82 LTC, thanks.
Okay, obviously I'm adjusting that as the price seems to be crashing...buying 2k FTC for 48 LTC now.

Last trade @ .03615 LTC. Moving down pretty fast, actually.

Next difficulty is estimated to be over 71...damn.

Has anyone tested this out?

Oh, whoops. I thought you were providing those stats to back up my case. Sorry.
The bottom line is that even though FTC will have far more coins mined it *still* is priced higher than MNC. OP will be lucky to find someone to do a 1:1 trade with him.
What price is FTC currently trading at? Last trade price on an exchange for MNC was 0.00175BTC I see: Highest bid for MNC is .0009 Highest bid for FTC is .0389 LTC, which is equal to .00121 BTC; but they've been going to far higher recently. I guess it depends on which minute you look at things. They shouldn't be trading this closely if there's going to be over 30 times more supply of FTC than MNC.

"FTC" is so mainstream. I remember Feathercoin when it was just FC.
Yeah, I was into FC way back in the day, but now they've gone all corporate and changed to FTC. HeliumCoin is for the real hipsters now.

I assume most people buying here are re-selling at cryptonit to make an instant profit.
Shhh!

It will be changed to FTC in the clients and released during the week.
Thank you!

If it ever wants to be taken seriously, it will have to be a 3-letter code to abide by ISO 4712. USD, EUR, CHF, etc. BTC & LTC aren't quite there yet; maybe someday...

Let's get this straight:
Client uses FC Exchange uses FTC
What is it going to be? Dev?
All currencies (whether crypto or legacy) use 3 letters if they are in - or hope to be in - the ISO 4217 standard.

Any chance of adding a Feathercoin (FTC) exchange?

Wich has just been proven to be not enough, Someone should not be able to just "collect" 1% of an Entire Currency's Fixed amount in 24 hours
Who says it was "someone" if you check the blockchain info you will see that it was lots of miners as it should be. The announcement was in a public forum, so nobody had a head start, if you missed out then don't cry here, you have 98.5% of the coins to mine, off you go. 5 seconds public notice before launch with planned, low difficulty may mean it wasn't *technically* a pre-mine, but it was *effectively* a pre-mine. (And I say that as someone who owns a few; I'd like to see it succeed despite the scammy intro.)
|
|
|
As far as Im concerned, any substantial premine or instamine without alerting the community prior to launch means the coin is DOA.
Just an attempt by the developer to make a few quick bucks of some hapless folks.
I wouldnt touch FC personally. If you want real value, buy LTC.
I don't doubt the author and his buddies set up multiple mining rigs+addresses to mine from the start. I'm mining some at the moment, but I guess I too feel Feathercoin is tainted because there was no forwarning, or pre-announcement. The first blocks were being found every 5-10 seconds, so instantmine indeed. I had no idea it was almost 3 million though. Definitely has a scammy feel to it; but hopefully in the long run FTC will nonetheless fill a role in the crypto world.
|
|
|
So it took barely over one full day to mine 1% of all Feathercoins that will ever be in existence?
