121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain looks like they're releasing a 15GH/s DASH miner called the AntMiner D3 on: September 12, 2017, 12:41:45 AM
Hello,
I apparently submitted in a hurry wrong address when I was ordering D3 from Bitmain. How can I edit shipping address of the already placed and payed order? There was no help in Bitmain forums.
Thanks

login to your account>>under "settings"(bottom left) you will see My Account/My Address...click and edit

Ehhh, that doesn't change the shipping address for existing orders. You need to submit a support ticket ASAP.

No idea, im going to be shipping a hashboard back today myself.
You can just ship the hash board itself for repairs? Before this I think we need to send the whole miner for the warranty claims, if i'm not mistaken..

Their return documentation has always said not to return the whole miner, just the defective part.

Hello,

Innosilicon A5 is interesting, according to you, for the end of October, beginning of November?
I don't know build quality of Innosilicon.

Thanks

To put it lightly, there are a lot of doubts that Innosilicon will deliver on time and on spec. They don't have the best track record. Hopefully they get better at delivering what the promise so that we can start seeing more competition in the marketplace. I wouldn't hold my breath though - the graveyard of fallen ASIC companies is quite large.

Hey, I just purchased a D3 and an L3+ from you. I'm planning to report back here when I receive them, so I really hope you're not a scammer (I've been burned before).

Sounds good PWillz, we welcome accountability. Feel free to use the Trust system with our BitcoinTalk.org profile after you receive your miners. We've been selling miners for years and have thousands of happy customers. I'm hoping we'll be able to count you as one of them soon  Cheesy.

So do the latest batches of L3+ have the antbleed vulnerability in them?

Nope, Bitmain released new firmwares for all of their devices specifically to remove the "AntBleed" controversy. I monitor outgoing DNS queries on my network and haven't seen anything attempt to reach auth.minerlink.com or 139.59.36.141. This is old news though.

I understand but 30k is not only for batch 1 but for all batch no ?
I think if we have the first batch, we can mine good for 1 or 2 month.

And nobody knows of other special orders of these miners pre-sold through contracts rather than online sales Cheesy

We're not huge, but we do significant amounts of business with Bitmain and have never been able to get any special treatment in regards to sales. Even when we attempt to purchase 1000 units at a time, Bitmain barely acknowledges our existence and makes us wait for the public batches. Also, the discounts with bulk orders barely even cover shipping. As far as I can tell, they aren't giving anyone special treatment. I mean, why would they when they can sell-out almost instantly without even trying?

Does anybody know which dates were D3 batches so far? Is it already 2nd batch in progress of shipping out ?

Batch 1 - September 15-25
Batch 2 - October 15-25
Batch 3 - November 1-15
Batch 4 - November 16-23

*There were some partial batches in which the unpaid orders were re-listed with similar delivery dates.

Batch 1A - Sept 18-25
Batch 5 - Open sale August 17th
Batch 6 - Open sale Sept 5th

Batch 1A was Sept 15-25 (original link for reference)
Batch 1B was Sept 18-25

Didn't it seem suspicious that they were selling the D3 at such a low price? The first batch of D3s costed $2699 + shipping and they're claiming to ship on Tuesday? They'd be selling at over $1000 loss. You realize that the very first batch hasn't even been shipped yet, right? Nobody except a few reviewers have these yet.

Well when I asked to get my batch 1 miner little earlier in exchange to do a thorough review,  I got a no for answer.
"You are already going to have it as soon as possible".

But seems like somebody else has better relationship with Bitmain.

No, I'm not salty at all  Cheesy

Yeah, I'd love to know how they pick reviewers and what stipulations they must agree to.

Batch 1 shipped already??

I don't think so - it appears they were given a unit to review (not confirmed).
132  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] September batch #1 AntMiner D3s for sale on Amazon on: September 09, 2017, 01:59:24 PM
Really exciting news. Looks like the D3 has been reviewed in the wild and may be even faster than promised. First screenshot shows ~17GH/s and claims to sustain 16.2GH/s. The site with the review is getting hammered, so here's a link to the cached version.

Quote
The Antminer D3 sustained 16.2 GH/s at 1186 watts from the wall at default settings. Ambient temps in the data center are 68F, which also meant the fans were running at 3200 RPM putting out 74 dB at 4 ft.

If there is anyone running Awesome Miner and receives an Antminer D3 soon, I would be very glad if you could send me an API report (Toolbar:Tools -> API Report) for the miner so I can confirm if it works great together with Awesome Miner. So far all different Antminers have been very similar from a monitoring point of view, but it would be good to get a confirmation on this.

Many thanks!
I (hope) I will receive mine soon. Got the tracking numbers on Monday. I was planning to administrate them with Awesome Miner. If you like I could get you teamviewer access to Awesome Miner including access to a D3 then.

Are you sure it was tracking for your september D3 order? Do you have any other unshipped orders with Bitmain currently?

Did anyone get his D3 yet? My D3 order showed up on UPS on Monday, but although I have shipping numbers Bitmain did not hand over the miners to UPS yet.
This is unusal since normally they do this within 24h after creating the shipping label...

No, not yet. It would be AMAZING if they shipped this early. I sincerely hope you're not pulling our legs here.

At least Bitmain has announced that they're upgrading their web servers to help alleviate the current traffic flooding issues.

in the past 20 min or more im waiting this stupid window to disappear after i submitted the answer  ... have few miners in the cart , ready to pay for it ...

Hey Bitmain ! Can you fix this Huh Why we do need this ?

If you're using Chrome, right click the page next time before entering the captcha and watch the console to see if it times out. You can go to the network tab and replay the XHR to resubmit your captcha response without having to go through the hole freaking process again.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: September 07, 2017, 02:50:14 AM
Who already received l3+(or ather miner) in the US? Do you need to pay any taxes or duties? Tnx.

$37.81 per miner

Hi what class or product code is it?

I was told I would have to pay the same, but since I didn't have a checkbook to write out a check to the delivery guy, I had to go pick it up the next day. When I went to go pick it up, didn't have to pay.

I've had that happen. Expect a bill in a few weeks.
139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: September 07, 2017, 01:37:39 AM
L3+ is on 28 nm node and bitmain has already got his hands on 16 nm node on which S9 is built so there is likely a chance for L5 in near future may be early next year but I think bitmain will give time to his customers for ROI and will launch L5 at least 15 to 18 months from the launch of L3+ that will be late 2018.

Are we sure about which node the L3+ is on? I also assumed 28nm, but I realized that I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere.

Daaayyym. Although how is PSU reselling profitable with shipping and import charges!? I guess in US it's better. Here that 105USD will become 225-250 euro easily.

Buying in bulk makes it ~$120 and people are paying crazy prices for them now that Bitmain has only pre-orders. I don't really get the logic of it, I mean you can get a decent HP or IBM server PSU with a breakout board and cables cheaper than these Bitmain PSUs, but some folks just don't want to do that I guess.

I think most people who are purchasing the APW3++ through distributors are comparing the cost to something like the EVGA SuperNova 1600 G2 @ $399.
