Yes it is as you said, just imagine that a club of that calibre that dominated the Serie A for decades or at least for a very long time would not win five games in a row. Now I don't want to put them into the same category of Manchester City and Real Madrid, but if you consider what their role was within Serie A, then it could make sense to draw that comparison. If one of the aforementioned teams would not win five games in a row, I think there would hell break loose. While they might not be as strong as teams like Manchester City and Real Madrid they are still a big deal in Italian football and should be doing better.
