121  Economy / Economics / Re: IMPORTANT! - US Senate Bill S.1241 to Criminalize Concealed Ownership of Bitcoin on: December 03, 2017, 11:05:21 PM
What does "Concealed ownership of Bitcoin" even mean? That doesn't even make sense. Like, it is perfectly legal to own cash and hold it in your house so why not be able to own Bitcoin and hold it without reporting to someone? That is abdsolutely  brutal and authorotarian. People whould not worry about just keeping their Bitcoin to themselves and not reporting everything to the government.
122  Economy / Economics / Re: plan for the future with bitcoin on: December 03, 2017, 10:57:27 PM
MY plans for the future with Bitcoin are simply to hold it and with its value grow over time. Of course now there is a problem with the fees being way too high which is why we need to wait and see for a solution but since we will not be sending them anyways too much, the fees are not all that important really and we just need to HOLD. Smiley
123  Economy / Economics / Re: The best time to invest. on: December 03, 2017, 10:53:58 PM
For me it's always best time to invest in cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin cause I always believe that Bitcoin has very good potential in the future and it'll reach to 20k$ or maybe 100k$ soon. But to be able to buy Bitcoin at lower price is still very good. As I can see there are always a big dump in Bitcoin price after the price of Bitcoin reach to a new peak so the best time to invest in Bitcon for everyone is after Bitcoin reach to the new peak. Maybe before the end of this year there will be a big dump more so we just need to wait and invest in Bitcoin Cheesy

Really you think Bitcoin will be worth $100,000 soon? I don't think so... it will take some times, surely. $100,000 means the market cap would need to be 10x what it is now and also worth over 1 TRILLION dollars. I don't necessarily see that happening anytime soon, it will probably take a few years to say the least, but most likely 5-10 years.
124  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: December 03, 2017, 10:49:37 PM
I can only daydream about what it must have been like to be able to buy thousands of Bitcoins for a few dollars back in 2009 and 2010, or even to just mine a bunch of Bitcoins every day without doing any work at all back in the day. That would be so cool, but of course back then people alo didn't know how much Bitcoin would end up being worth so it probably wasn't as exciting.
125  Economy / Economics / Re: short term investment or long term invesetment on: December 03, 2017, 10:35:32 PM
Long-term is the best way to think about life. When you think about life in the long-term you make better decision than living in the shot-term only and living off of temporary pleasures.

The short-term is nice sometimes, to enjoy life, but rarely, and the long-term thinking is what makes a person strong and powerful in the "long run". Wink
126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the risk of holding Bitcoin? on: December 02, 2017, 11:45:48 PM
The risk of holding Bitcoin is that you will lose 50%+ of the value very quickly when there is a crash. That really is the only major risk. Holding is the best strategy if you want to make the safest ROI in crypto, and Bitcoin to be specific.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decided to invest more into crypto on: December 02, 2017, 11:34:59 PM
Hello, so I've been reading a lot and finally decided to invest a larger sum of money into altcoins. I've chosen 4 coins: Viacoin, Ubiq, Pinkcoin and Radium. Will invest equal amounts into them and hold for atleast couple of years. Did I do my research good or I shouldn't be touching these coins?
I have heard of ubiq but the rest I haven't, let me just give you a friendly advice. I personally think that you should invest in altcoins with huge potential so that you can make profit overtime. You shouldn't just invest in any other coin, looking at the current bitcoin value, skyrocketing like never before. I think you should reconsider your decision and invest in altcoins with huge potential.

Can you please tell me more about ubiq? I haven't heard of it myself and the name sounds... "unique". Wink

I am so confused by all of these new altcoins and I think 99% of them are outright scams.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: December 02, 2017, 11:10:09 PM
I subscribe to more of 300 airdrops in the last month and only received 40

This is complete bullcrap. There is no way you can tell me that you applied to 300 airdrops in one month. There are definitely not 10 airdrops a day. That would be almost impossible. I keep up with airdrops and there is usually 1 or 2 new ones per day at most, legitimate ones at least. Even if there were 5 per day it would be a lot, but 10 per day? I don't think so. I think you made a type and added an extra 0. Wink
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018? on: December 02, 2017, 11:08:23 PM
I don't think crpyto will continue going up after the New Years. No way Jose. It is going to go down, bottom line at some point in January. I don't think ETH double by then, most certainly not. I would say probably peaks around $600-700 before the big crash which is coming soon.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS GOOD FOR HOLD ETHEREUM? on: December 02, 2017, 11:04:13 PM
I think holding Ethereum is a good bet. You need to realize Bitcoin and Ethereum are the main staples of the crypto world right now. ETH wasn't even on the radar really 6 months ago. It only burst on the scene recently. Back in march I bought hundreds of ETH for like $39. Wish I had kept them. xD
131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: December 02, 2017, 11:00:58 PM
Yeah at first I thought DeepOnion was completely legit because I did not know that something like Monero already existed and I though DeepOnion was the first to ever use TOR with crypto and it was revolutionary. They tricked me. Sad
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is litecoin? on: December 02, 2017, 10:58:33 PM
Litecoin is essentially a lesser-known very similar coin to Bitcoin. Most people use Bitcoin, but Litecoin has risen to be worth almost $100 each which is crazy to think considering it was at $4.50 less than a year ago.
133  Economy / Economics / Re: huge crypto market correction incoming on: December 01, 2017, 11:52:59 PM
My prediction from experience is that we will not reach $20,000 and instead there will be a major crash before the New Year. It might last until after the New Year... but the latest id January and everyone who got BTC in the past couple months is going to sell it all and there will be massive panic.
134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bittrex, best token to buy on: December 01, 2017, 10:58:49 PM
Come on everyone, please stop spamming these nonsense numbers. We don't want to read these numbers over and over. Post a link or something short and just the basis. Thanks!
135  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: December 01, 2017, 10:49:04 PM
The USD is still astronomically more important ona  global stage than Bitcoin is.

I am sorry to anyone who disagrees but it just is true. We have a long, long way to grow until BTC would become feasible to be used by the masses. It is the nature of such things, they take a long time to implement in society. Roads weren't built overnight!
136  Economy / Economics / Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ? on: December 01, 2017, 10:36:03 PM
A global disaster would either completely decimate Bitcoin value or it would make it skyrocket. It all depends on how the market reacts at that time and we won't know until it happens.

On one hand, I think lots of people would turn to Bitcoin to be able to transact without the need for the government which might not always be available if resources are unavailable, but also if the internet is out then Bitcoin is not really practical so it is very hard to say.
137  Economy / Economics / Re: how can bitcoin help the community? on: December 01, 2017, 10:14:44 PM
I live in India and there is lot of poor people who do not have access to the Internet. In addition to this there is a lot of corruption in our country and I see Bitcoin as a perfect tool which can avoid this corruption. If people learn how they can use Bitcoin for their daily transactions and can run other security measurements then it is going to benefit for them in a lot of ways. Firstly, people can provide their services around the world and can take the payments in Bitcoin, we can keep all the records of the money and their friends and relatives money without going to bank. And many more features like this necessary for countries like mine.

Imagine if everyone in India that is very poor invested only $100 into Bitcoin then in a few years after it gets to above $1,000,00 they would all have $10,000 to their name. I think this would be superb for the development of this nation which now has a reputation for many people living in slums, like Slumdog Millionaire, and if they invested into BTC they will all become Slumdog Millionaires. Wink
138  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: December 01, 2017, 10:02:30 PM
It actually depends on the place you are at. Many countries has band Bitcoin in the country and their government does not want to see anyone using it. People already know that bitcoin has a lot of potential so we call it the best long term investment in our generation. Bitcoin offers a lot of opportunity which can easily improve any economic of any country if used well. We should know that Bitcoin is weak so you have to organise everything yourself in order to be secure but it is not more better than any bank of any country.

Just because the government does not want you using it, you will not use it?

Umm, as far as I know most governments have not made Bitcoin illegal. Even one of the most strict countries in the world, North Korea sis not only not make BTC illegal, but they even started mining it by the government recently. So I think based on this factor, it is clear that Bitcoin will improve the economy of a country if they start mining it.
139  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start with Bitcoin or Ethereum on: December 01, 2017, 09:54:40 PM
Well considering this is a Bitcoin forum I think you came to the wrong place if you think we would suggest Ethereum is better than Bitcoin. Cheesy

Although you are entitled to your opinion if you think it is better to trade Ethereum, I would say it is a close contect and both are good options, but at the end of the day you need to know what you are doing before trading any currency because otherwise you are going to just lose everything no matter what coin you trade... it is just simple reality!
140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Result of CME on: December 01, 2017, 09:22:30 PM
As far as i know in futures cash settled so basically this market is people betting each other in USD on what will happen to the price of Bitcoin. No Bitcoin is being moved or delivered here. For each futures trade there is a counterparty betting USD, not BTC. They measure the price of BTC exchanges and go off that for the market. Please correct me if I am wrong.

In my experience studying futures I have found that usually, not always but usually start out worth a lot more than they end up opening. This makes me think that the smartest thing to do is outright sell your futures at first and buy back in at the bottom, because I have also noticed that they usually go back up and pump after, because the owners want them to succeed at the end of the day.
