121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INSN Coin 🔷 POW/POS/Master Nodes/InstantTXs 🔷 18.4m Coins 🔷 on: February 20, 2018, 06:56:47 AM
Hi, can someone say how much I will earn on average if I run Insane master node?

I haven't received a masternode payment in almost three months. So at the moment it seems you will earn nothing.

First off, I would like to extend the appreciation of the Insane Team for holding your master node while we work out the update. I would also like to say that we will work out a rewards system with the update that will give a benefit to those who held onto their master nodes without being rewarded for it.

More on this rewards system coming soon...

 Grin

Thank you for the prompt reply Bittzy. Faith restored and looking forward to the update!

123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SCAM ALERT] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: June 24, 2017, 07:10:35 PM
Agreed this is one of the clearest examples of a scam I've seen in recent times. Well done for trying to warn people about it. It started with a newbie account whose real-life name was supposedly "Lionel Keys" posting as ElasticCoin. Immediately a few of us pressed for some kind of info to verify his identity (given it was an ICO without escrow), which he said would be coming soon. In the mean time I began finding Evil-Knievel's behaviour in the thread extremely suspicious. He wasn't (publicly) in charge of the probject at this point but from the start was shilling hard (talking about how much he'd invested) and answering the bulk of the questions that were intended for the dev. It was obvious to me he was involved with the project whilst pretending not to be.

Every post from the ElasticCoin account was subsequently deleted from that thread (presumably when they realized they'd messed up and that there was no way to hide how shady the whole thing was), Lionel Keys disappeared (abandoning a project he'd supposedly spent months working on and preparing) and Evil-Knievel suddenly emerged as project lead.

I haven't enough time to dig through it, but here's the original thread. Evil-Knievel has also deleted every single post he made in that thread, though enough of his and ElasticCoin's original posts have been preserved in quotes in replies to show you what's going on here.

Deleted original ANN:

I am currently invested in this coin with a total of 6.8799 BTC.

A very clear scam.

Mmhmm

"Lannister is gone. ICO funds are gone."

Orchestrated from the start.

You're very naive now if you think you can bait and switch with 5% only. That is verging on just foolish I'm afraid.
Some scams can get away with a dirty past if they are huge already before full pressure is applied.
Sadly this one is hardly off of the ground and will be swatted down and crushed before it takes deep root.

I mean 50% is even a total bait and switch but livable if the white paper is outstanding.
25% you would have the odd supporter
5%= paid shills only to support this move and a bunch of scammed investors looking for revenge.

Rethink it now before digging yourself into a corner from which you can not get out of.

I would suggest now this second coming up with a far better offer.

I would also suggest noting down the usernames here of all that are giving this 5% offer the time of day and not calling it out for the scam move it is

I would note them down in a list because they are obviously shills and puppet accounts. Then review their post history and see what you can find out.

+1

It's clear that you're effectively killing your chances of a successful future funding drive.

The team continues to refuse to even entertain the idea of any sort of compromise. Why?
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VLT | Veltor | Donar Network | Minimalism. on: May 14, 2017, 06:01:09 PM
It will give early investors a chance to keep their initial investment reasonably intact in terms of absolute value.

Reasonably intact? You absolute scumbags. You could easily raise significant funds without deliberately screwing over the early investors like this.

I don't see how anyone in the space is going to trust you again.
128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VLT | Veltor | Donar Network | Minimalism. on: May 14, 2017, 02:45:40 PM
Some conflicts going on in slack as VLT stating that it's too great an effort to bring VLT on another exchange and that it will likely stay on yobit forever.
Awishformore
I think people should ask themselves the question: if a project is really promising technically, why would it need to go to extreme lengths for marketing and getting on exchanges.
I believe that would save many people from getting involved with the many projects that will disappear 2-3 years from now when the blockchain market consolidates.

I can understand their position, it's better they spend their time on what they find interesting, but I also understand why people in the community want it on a more reliable exchange.

If it's just a matter of getting it on a more trustworthy exchange, it would be pretty easy for the community to make this happen. Novaexchange has been around for years and instant listing only costs 0.4 btc.
https://novaexchange.com/addcoin/

Big exchanges will obviously follow naturally later on, but Nova would be a safer place for trading in the meantime.

131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [IOC][ I/O Digital ] I/O Coin - Blockchain Ecosystem - DIONS - CHAMELEON on: April 22, 2017, 03:43:00 PM
poliniex wont go back on the delist. it would cause them bigger problems.

Actually they reversed the decision to delist Silkcoin after the team reached out to them. If any coin has a strong case for not being delisted it is IOC, especially with DIONS so close now.

Poloniex decision in general was not suprising, they make 80% of their money from 20% of their coins yet they probably have to do the same amount of 'work' to maintain the bottom 20%. When you take into account how much money they can make front-running new additions it also make sense that they'd want to bring in new coins and drop weaker ones, mostly based on volume.

I think this is exactly right, it's unlikely they bother to follow the day to day developments on bitcointalk and every time I checked recently I was surprised by how low the volume was on IOC. For a coin on Poloniex closing in on a major major release I would have expected much more in the way of new investment. Maybe it was lack of awareness. Anyhow I think the team should try not to take it personally and instead should talk with Poloniex if they haven't already to fill them in on DIONS development. Sure IOC will be fine without it. But with what's coming it fully deserves a place on the biggest exchange in the world.

has only an OK button after which the client is closed.
There is a possibility somehow siphoned all blokcheyn without losing their bytes?

Thank you

I sent anything before that? and the client a full?

I have a similar situation,
the full client is not sent anything

And I thought, on the basis of "Hk4mmx + Uu9ZlSIVt7zEmUDvSHxKlV5A / PgiZ // ck20s = is not stable in view of your parents"

stumbled on a strange spike in the graph. Well I just went for a light

Translated the above from the Russian thread. Same issue here. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know a fix? Tried restoring from backup but eventually the same thing happened. Using 1.7.0 on Linux. Thanks in advance.

Does it really matter? Let the code speak for itself...

Well, if it is him, i would NOT let the code speak for himself. That guy is sick in his head. But karma is a bitch...and it will come.

Why don't you try to live up to your "legendary" status by constructing a cogent argument instead of just flapping your gums like a common troll? Let me help by starting you off:

"I think Jason is Julian Cain because " ..

@jason 75: thanks a lot for your hint, got insta synchronized  Grin

it's john connor from Vcash....

as long as he doesn't get off his meds and have a meltdown, Veltor should be something special...

*Snore*

It doesn't matter if you're using it to hype this or to fud it, the "Jason is John Connor" theory just doesn't hold water. Didn't you watch the interview? Julian is from the U.S. Was Jason just faking that European accent for the 20 minutes or so he was speaking? Occam's Razor ffs.

Interesting. This is either going to be the biggest con all year or the biggest success story. Time will tell, but more and more I'm beginning to think it's going to be the latter. Will be watching with bated breath until some code is actually published.

So Chris has gone silent. Where are these other supposed team members at?
,
I have got contact with Ofer Rotem and looks like Chris is not responding to his emails.
He doesn't know what is going on with Chris, he count that he is hard working.
I have no idea what went wrong maybe he is ill or have accident.

You know when someone gives you like 60BTC for project and you run away with scam, while you give your public info you can have REAL problems with shady people. Random unknown people can get away with many but when you act in public it is dangerous.

I can confirm that I was contacted. I am trying to reach Chris for a while but he has cut communications with me and everyone else I know that were in contact with him. As an investor I can just hope that he is working on this, but I don't understand this behavior.

Thanks for letting us know Ofer (and thanks andron8383 for reaching out to him). My gut feeling was that it was illness or maybe just a little burnout. Maintaining the game, its infrastructure, the community around it and then keeping the bitcointalk people informed.. it must be a lot to balance. Still you know how things go in this space, hopefully we'll hear something from him soon.

137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VLT | Veltor | Donar Network | Minimalism. on: April 02, 2017, 05:07:09 PM
Sunday update:

This graph says it all. It illustrates, in my opinion, the importance of Veltor. It concludes and reflects everything that is currently problematic with Bitcoin. With blocks getting full, transactions are plateauing and the network is hitting its capacity sealing. In order to scale, Bitcoin Unlimited comes at a cost. Blockchain bloating might become uncontrollable and Bitcoin morphs in to a multi-terabyte chain making it everything but user friendly. Even though SegWit is, in theory, the superior solution, it is far away from a proper implementation, leaving big unanswered questions and uncertainties. Bitcoin is going to face great challenges and with great challenges comes great volatility.

J.V.

Even though they sometimes seem a bit tangential, I really appreciate these weekly updates. How is the work going on the new codebase?

140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: February 02, 2017, 08:45:27 PM
What is wrong with everyone? Not being added to Bittrex or Polo isn't the fault of the team behind Komodo, but is a strict policy of the exchanges. if you want them added there, do a coin request and maybe they will add it because you were asking it, but don't count on it. If Komodo comes from the ground and people are getting more interested in it, they will add it automatically by them self.

Crying about why they are not on those exchanges isn't very helpful. The team behind it would love to see it as well. Maybe more then you guys are doing.

If the team wanted it more than everyone else they'd use some of the ICO funds to pay Bittrex's 3 BTC listing fee. I'm sure KMD will be on all the big exchanges in time regardless.
