121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A2 MEGA 110MH PSU Failure on: November 16, 2016, 09:25:45 PM
With the Corsair I have just confirmed that the original A2 Power cables will work with the same modification where you cut the spline of plastic on the cable connector between the 2 pins just left of the clip with the clip up and the connector facing away from you.

This way you can use the existing A2 power cables if they are in good shape.

Thats all my modification is. Cutting out this plastic webbing so there are 8 individual pins. that webbing is to prevent this cable to be installed in a PSU where the PCI-E connector have 3 power and 5 ground. In both the Corsair & BFL they are 4 ground & 4 Power at the PSU with power at the clip side of the connector.
I cut the plastic webbing on the power cable connector with a hacksaw blade, and clean it up with a utility knife so it goes in easy and the retention clip is engaged.

Alway use a multi-meter to test the power output to each pin when mixing or matching power cables and PSU!

122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A2 MEGA 110MH PSU Failure on: November 16, 2016, 08:18:25 PM
How is this for a match made in Hell.  A Innosilicon a2 mated with a BFL PSU?
I have already created several of these Devil spawn.

Butterfly Labs BFL 1250W 80+ Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply New Sealed Box. $100 + $16 shipping.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Butterfly-Labs-BFL-1250W-80-Gold-ATX-Fully-Modular-Power-Supply-New-Sealed-Box-/162251676596?hash=item25c6f41bb4:g:1TkAAOSwnGJWT4H1

It has 6 8 pin PCI-E connector ports, the voltage passes through with power to the 4 pins on the clip side of the connector at the card. additionally if you have a bad cable you can use one of the 2 CPU cables that comes with the PSU.

You just need to cut the spline between pin 5 & 6 on the A2s power connector so it will go in the PSU.

Works like a charm, and the price is right.

Good Luck!

125  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Spondoolies SP30 Loop Errors ? on: November 07, 2016, 08:00:27 PM
Go into the settings and disable loop 3. Also check your temps and make sure you are below 120 temp. I think that 125 is the limit to where its cuts off.
Have you updated the firmware to 2.7.1? I think that its the latest and available on the spondoolies Bitcointalk thread.
I have found for them to run continuous without stopping you need to bypass or disable bad loops, and up the fan speed and, or throttle back loops to keep them 100 to 115 temp.

126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: will u do dogecoin mining? on: November 07, 2016, 03:51:21 PM
Dogecoin is still alive and well, and its community may have some good things going. The comments on here are mostly from the perspective of a miner. Dogecoin mined by itself will cost more money than what you could sell the Dogecoin for. It would cost less to just buy the Dogecoin if you wanted some. However merge mining Litcoin & Dogecoin together can pay for roughly 20% of your electricity to run your miner. Or if you run a Litecoin mining pool it can allow you to pay out over 100% LTC with no fee to the miners and still make a profit off of selling the aux coin (Dogecoin).

ps: If you are looking for a used asic scrypt miner for fun and to learn about mining or how they work I have several entry level & intermediate asic scrypt miners for sale. pm me if interested.

Can anyone give me optimum clock settings for 280x gpus? I have Powercolor 280x cards that can run 1150 GPU and 1500 Memory clocks but I'd like to know what settings is better.

With 1125 core and 1500 memory I am getting 44 H/s per card or a 5 280x card rig. No card mods.

SimpleMining v1020 is working great for me. My hash rate on 5 and 6 card rigs went from 100 to 120 to 218 to 260 depending on the rig, cards, and settings.
Its running much smoother.  Thanks T & C!

132  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS KnC TItan Batch 2 New Old Stock. USA only on: September 22, 2016, 05:45:17 PM
It sounds to me like you bought miners that belonged to old customers that refused shipment due to a lawsuit. Don't be shocked if contacted by the lawyers lol.

a lot was new a lot was mix and match...and doubtful....they would not have sold them with the bankruptcy lawyers unless they did the old "all vendors with issues/
payment liens etc contact us by this or that date' ..the usual lawyer cover your butt stuff

Naw they are bankrupt and gone.....all redress with KNC proper is now moot and in the wind

we bid accordingly.....and were correct 20% damage and broke rate due to temp workers and crummy shipping etc....but we pretty much expected that ...so

at least we had that much sense Smiley

Searing your story is that KnC had enough left over parts to create 160 or so miners. Does that really make sense to you? Seriously? Would you let 160 units worth of parts sit on a shelf when you could easily assemble them and mine? I doubt it. Having a dozen or so backup cubes would be standard practice for replacement hardware, not 160 full 400mh/s units.

KnC told people that refused shipment due to the lawsuit that they would hold the units in storage until the buyer wanted them. Those units have since disappeared..........and you magically were able to buy units no longer produced.

What Searing says is true. And yes it all makes sense.
The Titan project was canceled mid second batch. Not all Titans offered for sale in 1st batch were sold when they stopped offering it and offered the second batch. Not all of the 2nd batch was sold when they stopped offering it. The parts for both batches and extra parts would have been ordered from fabrication. As you may know the chip yield was not as good as originally anticipated. This would have used up some of the parts of unsold units, but there would have been more that a normal supply of Titan parts stock. If you think about it the months during and after the Titan shipping LTC went nowhere but down. Meanwhile KNC was putting all it efforts into the BTC DCs, and the Titan RMAs, firmware glitches, Lawsuits were a distraction from getting the DC's up and running, KNC no longer wanted to sell equipment directly to customers, so they pulled the plug on the Titan project mid stream(no additional sales, just assembling units already sold, and warranty service.)  even prior the delivery of the first Titan to a customer.

Regarding the units we received we found about 20 cubes with no thermal pads installed. We also found that sometimes the wrong size, and not all the same size screws were used for the cooler hold down creating uneven pressure. Also some had bent cooler hold downs.
We talked to another guy who got some of the Titans at one of the other auction, and none of his had the thermal pads. This all supports the fact that these titans were newly assembled, and probably by temps under the supervision of a few remaining KNC staff.

I first started communication with KNC Staff about Titans & Titan parts on May 27th 2016. I was initially informed that they were trying to liquidate other larger assets (Bitcoin DCs)  prior to the titans and parts. But it turns out that just prior to halving is not a good time to try and liquidate Bitcoin producing assets. I was later forwarded  to the Bankruptcy Estate Trustee Nils Åberg Advokat Partner with
Advokatfirman Carler.

I received a list of what was available and made a offer for the 24 newly assembled 5 cube batch 2 Titans and it turns out I was the high bidder. At the time I did not know there were other bidders. The subsequent sales a more outlined bidding process. I did bid in all 4 auctions, but was not able to purchase anything else as the competition was growing, and whales with deep pockets were there.

This transaction was the first sale of any KNC asset from the Bankruptcy Estate.

The 24 Titan 5 cube batch 2 units Searing and I purchased were newly assembled.  I confirmed this by personally speaking  to  Anna Jagdhar Head of DC operations at KNC.

The Bankruptcy Estate Liquidation regarding the Titans consisted of 4 different sales/auctions:
1. July 7th 2016 including 24 newly assembled Titans.
2. July 31st 2016 160 newly assembled Titans. (attached bidding instructions)
3. August 4th 2016 25 Titans of new and RMA parts. (attached bidding instructions)
4. August 18th 2016  The rest the Titan components (attached bidding instructions)

the bidder is aware of.
* Bids will be ranked by the highest price per Miner
* Bids that have equal price per Miner will amongst themselves be ranked by the bids’
maximum numbers of Miners (bigger number ranks higher).
* The ranking will be continuously updated and communicated to all other interested parties
when new bids arrive.
* The deadline for making/adjusting bids is 6 PM CET on 31 July 2016.
* When the deadline has passed, the final number of available Miners for sale (which may be
less than 160 or possibly slightly more) will be distributed amongst the bidders in accordance
with the last ranking list. This means that some bidders might be assigned a number of
Miners less than their stated maximum number of Miners and that some bidders might not be
assigned any Miners at all (if too low on the ranking list).
SALES TERMS:

resolved by Swedish public courts, with the District court of Stockholm as first instance.
* By submitting bids, the bidders accept the terms above.

Sale 3:
KnC Miner – Bankruptcy sale
25 Titan batch 2 miners (RMA) + 5 Titan batch 2 miners (new but
suboptimal) – bidding procedure and sales terms
The bankruptcy estate is selling 25 Titan (batch 2) miners (built mostly of RMA parts) and 5
newly produced Titan (batch 2) miners which are ready for shipping directly. Each miner
consist of 5 “cubes”, one controller card and flat cables (jointly: one “Miner”). The miners are
sold in packs of 5 (one “Pack”). Thus one Pack consists of 5 Miners = 25 cubes. At this
moment there are 6 Packs for sale.
The tested hash rate for each Pack is state below, which has been documented by five
respective screen shots from the testing station testing each Miner in the Pack.
Please observe that this only states the test results on the time of the test. There is no
guarantee whatsoever that the hashing rate going forward is consistent with the test results,
therefore it may change – this in particular applies to Packs 1-5. None of the Miners are
expected to work at full capacity (i.e. 400+ MHs), this is because not all dies are expected to
be working.

133  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] -- NON-WORKING KNC TITAN BRIDGE BOARD -or QBERTY BOARD--- on: September 06, 2016, 02:11:31 PM
I might sell mine, but I am still waiting to hear if there will be a resolution on these 2nd batch Qberty boards with the wrong "clock chip" if that what it is, and that is the issue. I would also be interested in working together on a bridge board solution as I know myself and may other Titan farm operators are in need of additional bridge boards.

136  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS KnC TItan Batch 2 New Old Stock. USA only on: August 02, 2016, 05:02:09 AM
Long story short there was a KNC liquidation sale of freshly assembled batch 2 Titans from old stock left over parts.  Searing & I have been working on it since the Day KNC Filed BK. He and I went in together on the initial small batch and got it. When received it we went through the batch and inspected them and found approximately 20% had damage from shipping and or were missing the thermal pads. There was a second larger batch of 160 Units that was up for auction that ended Sunday 7/31/16. We factored in the 20% shipping damaged & incorrectly assembled into the equation as the sale terms were AS IS no warranty of any kind. Shipping not included. We knew if we sold any to any fellow miners we would have to guarantee a fully functioning 400 MH Unit so we bid on accordingly on 60 units. We knew we could sell at least 30 for $7.5 MH to 8 MH. We were blown out of the water by a whale who wanted the whole thing, and got 125 of the available 160 units. The other 35 were split between 2 other bidders on 10 units and 25 units. It looks like Supersonic was able to score the 10 units. Searing & I were not able to get any.

137  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS KnC TItan Batch 2 New Old Stock. USA only on: August 02, 2016, 04:42:28 AM
The seller gave me that price in pm it didn't come to my head Tupsu
So when you say to someone a price and after 5 min I agreed to the sale the sale must be done.
What happened here is these 2 guys disappear for hours and then they said everything is sold.
Thanks for keeping priority to the sales very legit users !!

First off KNCFUN  I said I was looking for offers of $7.5 MH or more. I really wanted $10 MH, but was willing to look at the best offers of $7.5 MH or more.

I stated that I acquired a quantity of batch 2 Titans. I stated that I would entertain offers.

I said that if I did not get high enough offers then I would just mine them.

You offered $7.5 a MH and said that you wanted free shipping. We never had a deal.

I will explain the whole story shortly.
138  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS KnC TItan Batch 2 New Old Stock. USA only on: August 01, 2016, 05:59:13 PM
myself and friend were able to rip out from their claws 10 of those "unicorns" as You call them altho shippment for us is like 400$ and most likely we aint gonna sell them unless someone offers insane price.

Hey Supersonic. I am glad you were able to get some. That whale wanted them all, but decided to let just a few pass to others.

139  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS KnC TItan Batch 2 New Old Stock. USA only on: August 01, 2016, 05:52:13 AM
As Searing said, we had no luck today. We would have had to pay up, and most miners that I talked to don't want to pay much over $7, or $8 a MH. One Whale walked away with 80% today. 2 other people got the other 20% but paid up. If you know anyone who did get any today please advise them to inspect them closely for shipping damage, especially the front screw that holds the cooler on. Check to see if bent or puckered up. (This is one of the reasons I designed my 4 point mounting brackets). also check to insure that the thermal pads are in place. Searing & I found 10 cubes with no thermal pads installed.
If anything else comes up I will keep everyone in mind that PM'd me.

Ordered 300 more brackets to be made. They should be ready to ship by 8/15/16. I will post again when I have them is stock. I have just a few sets left from the prior batch.
