hi tytanik

at first congrats for your work, it's nice, clean and useful

I would like to ask you a question about the fan's regulations: is it possible to force 100% rpm?

Need I to use a batch command line, or have you provided a tool?

I suppose that the only way it's bios modding, right?

I've tried ETH on a 280x and some 7950's, but they obtain from 13 to 16 MH/s.

Thx, kind words are always welcome Smiley
Fan reculation is near and soon it will be implemented.
I have script that works under RX OS and testing it right now.
It will be adjusting fan speed to target temperature so you could enter like 50-80 C.
Anyway setting fan to 100% isnt good becasue it could make fan wearout little faster than it sould be.

Did you tried Overclocking to set like 900/1500 ?
Then you need to change timings in bios rom of the card to make it even more faster.

Been running the last os with Silent army and no problem for the last 12h. Maybe check your setup  Wink
I had those only when rig is too much overclocked.
Anyway i think that silenarmy is still unstable and claymore did much better work.
But becasue of "angry" people we wont receive anymore linux newer version of miner from claymore so thx them for that.

all right then, thanks.

I'll wait for your next version then, right now unfortunately it's no use for me due the missing fan regulation.

Yeah, you're right about the fans, but given some peculiar needs of mine, due a custom setup, I would like to have a fixed 100% value.

It depends by the type of the fan because AMD and NVIDIA ones, if reference, are generally very good and long lasting.

Surely I will, but given time constraints it's not possible right now, for me.

Keep on updating this nice software, I am looking forward to your achievements. If all goes well, who knows.. we could setup something interesting later on (I'll have a private farm with an high amount of chassis, have a look in my signature).

Have a good day/night Smiley

Hey OP

Take a look at this : https://github.com/Optiminer/OptiminerZcash

Seems to be a really good miner for Zcash. Let me know

interesting, i will look at this tomorrow.

There is a chance to put a button to stop miner and start.
there is no dedicated button but it will be also soon as reboot Smiley
Anyway you can do that by going to rig Overclocking settings, put some values there and SAVE
each SAVE closes miner, sets OC and starts miner agian

Yeah no problem, but i have security issues when implementing so quick not known miners !
I think about making root accound secure again so changing password.
So when i implement miner, it even can have virus or malware but it wont do a thing to your system.
And now when i released root password for all - it  might be a problem, i must tink about tis.
Is anybody have an idea tell me Smiley

This new miner "OptiminerZcash" is nice Smiley
I turned 1300 MH/s in ethereum to 5300 H/s in Zcash in this new miner Smiley (confirmed im pool)
60% are R9 380 and 40% are RX470

You are doing great work. I'm glad you are offering this OS for free. Can I throw a couple hashes your way easily or do I have to remove my email address from the config.file then put it back when Im done?

Miner is working pretty nice !
Anyway maximizing CORE speed (MHz) finally doest better effect !
All my R9 380 have like 90 sol with unmodded bios (without tighter timings) so even more with timings and >1500 MHz  in memory ! i suppose 110 sol.s
while RX470 have 120 sol.s
Confirmed in coinmine.pl zec pool !.
Works stable and no hanging for now.

TIP: zcash mining requires lowering memory speed IF YOU HAVE HANGings Smiley

Also getting the same exact error and weird hashrate drops. On clean ubuntu install approx. 500H/s, SimpleMiningOS approx. 410H/s, one card seems to be not mining at all. 4x 480 + 1x 470.

Same problem here.

One card is mining very slow as the dashboard says its clocks are 300/300. All the other cards are only running at 600~1000mhz on the core.

So I was getting 500 sol/s in Windows with claymore v4. But now only 390 sol/s with SimpleMiner 1025 Sad

EDIT: Other than the general protection fault message still appearing, I've fixed all the speed issues.

Could you tell us how? Environmental variables? Drivers?
