122  Economy / Services / Need PHP script utilizing RAWTRANSACTIONS API on: December 16, 2013, 02:18:46 AM
Hello,

I need a simple script utilizing the bitcoind JSON-API which will take a private key (not from the local wallet) and create a raw transaction sending an amount to a different address, and sweeping the remainder back to the private key's public address, all without the normal delay associated with importing a private key and rescanning the blockchain.

Offering 0.15 BTC

125  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: November 27, 2013, 09:18:31 AM
I really wanted to like Armory, I really did. But honestly, I have had nothing but issues. I already had to redownload the entire blockchain once, which seemed to fix everything. But here, not 48 hours later, Armory is once again stuck about 50 blocks behind Bitcoind. When I try to run Armory as root it crashes right after Blockutils.cpp :3810, spitting out Segmentation Fault (core dumped). I want to get this to work and be smooth, as it should be in Ubuntu, but I am not having any luck and am a bit over it. Any ideas?

EDIT:

I think the issue may be with the fact that my Virtual Environment only has 1 gigabye of RAM. I have updated to 2 gigs and thinks seem to have solved themselves. Will keep you posted. Thanks for the great work.

EDIT: issue has resurfaced -- Armory is stuck about 100 blocks behind bitcoind now, I have sent log file to support email.
126  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: November 27, 2013, 12:26:26 AM
My Bitcoind is synced with the network and is up to date at latest block, but for some reason my Armory is stuck on "Connected (271641 Blocks)" I've tried opening / closing, restarting with no dice. Any ideas? I am running .89.99.14 in Ubuntu 12.04 lts. Also, I was wondering if there would be a way to configure Armory to hide the wallet balances?

Why the bump?
128  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: November 23, 2013, 04:17:13 AM
Just sent my first transaction to an .89 armory wallet, and it has 5 confirms in the blockchain, but Armory is reading 0 confirms on the transaction and no spendable balance. Any ideas?

What does the bottom-right corner say?  Usually something like "Connected (260837 blocks)".

Connected 270973 blocks -- but I just restarted bitcoind and it says it needs to reindex the blocks on disk, so that might be it. Letting it run now.

Question -- with the new database format in .89, am I effectively storing two block chains? One for BitcoinQT, and then another separate DB for Armory of similar size? Will I effectively need to provide double the storage space over time?

The current Armory database is about 1.2x larger than the blockchain, for a total of 2.2x blockchain worth of disk space. This is currently the full implementation, aimed at supporting full and super nodes. There are plans to reduce the DB size requirements for plain "client" nodes.

Thanks for the quick response, goatpig. One other thing -- is there any way currently or planned feature to allow an address to be "paused" -- similar to CoinControl for BitcoinQT -- so that the wallet will disregard the particular addresses funds for any ongoing transactions?
