Hello,
I am from Africa and have a source of free electricity.
What hardware is recommended for me? A used S7 will do? How much can S7 profit under present condition?
Also can Antminer can mine other curenncy?
The antminer the S7 can only mine coins with the sha256 algorithm. It all depends on where your free power is. The s7's and s9/t9's are very noisy (something like a loud 1500w hair dryer on full blast all the time) and produce a lot of heat (about the same as 1500w space heater). Decide if you can tolerate that in the location where you have free power. Just use a mining calculator https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator and plug in your variables to figure out how long it will take you to achieve ROI.

Hey there
I'm new on the Forum and in Bitcoint Mining. After couple of weeks of intense search abut how to farm and if its profitable , I have realize that could be really profitable for me if I'm not paying for the electricity..... I don't know if an Antminer S9 (13.5Th) to start with it will be near profitable ,I know (0 Stop correcting "electricity" cost ) but I need to know if maybe buy 2 for start.... @actual difficulty how much 1 Antminer S9 can farm , whit Pool(doesn't matter witch) or Solo.
Anny information you guys can provide it will be much appreciated .
Regards
That depends on where your free power is. Antminers are very noisy (something like a loud 1500w hair dryer on full blast all the time) and produce a lot of heat (about the same as 1500w space heater). Congrats on the 5.19 BTC fee reward! Dont forget to signal SegWit
Methinks you are in the wrong place for segwit cheerleading.

It looks to me as though you spent it about 18 minutes after you received it, if 17kSgc5pDojixySp3L8xMeCNfYeW5hvPAm is your coinbase wallet.

I switched from antpool to Kanopool So far so good. The question I have is how much cost to transfer BTC from BTC.com to other wallet such as Coinbase.com. I am still mining in antpool and BTC is automatically transferred to Coinbase with no charge. Why can't Kanopool use Coinbase.com?
Ok thanks for all your replies. I set the wallet to Coinbase. But when I tried to send my 0.05295024 BTC from BTC.com to Coinbase, I got message "Insufficient funds" even with Low priority bitcoin fee option. Now what can I do? I know it's not much money but I would like to know what options I have. It sounds like you are trying to send the entire balance of your wallet. You probably need to deduct the expected fees from the balance you are trying to send. I don't know about BTC.com, but at blockchain.com it will tell you the maximum amount you can send after the associated fees. I mine to my blockchain wallet, then consolidate every so often to electrum.

Pool hash rate down to 40pH, and my ckpool monitor is beeping All of mine failed over to their backup pool for about 15 min. All of them have reconnected now though. Must have been a problem with the main node.

Block! by blockmines again 3 in a row S9v1 1.5BTC txn fees Sure glad those guys significantly upped there hash here! Damn fine addition!

Its going to be over 50PH sooner than you think Sweet! It would be nice to get back to that level!

OK, calling it 40+PH now Woo being in the production line of multiple PH so far 42PH and climbing! . I just know that as soon as these 42PH hit a 5 day average my rewards will drop considerably. Well we started the month at ~29 PH, so hopefully the added hash will mean increased blocks found. It should reduce the variance and make those red blocks take less time. I just added more hash to keep my payouts up. I started the month at ~85ths, now at 110ths with another T9 on the way. Thanks to all that GREEN

I will leave one on this pool but I'm not doing all with no pay in the near future or last 6 months.
I totally get that. That's why my challenge is to all the miners out there that have multiple machines as I now do. Most of my hash is pointed at kano for regular (enough) payouts, and the rest is pointed here. Get enough of us to point some hash here and we'll get a share rate for maybe a block or two between diff changes. I wouldn't mind that... I'll come play for a while. Let's see if we can get some more people to point one or two here.

I just looked at my Shift Graph page and it shows a more than 20TH drop right after that last block. ?? My miners are all OK and running at expected hash and my workers page shows all is well. Anyone else have this happen? Thanks! Same thing for me. Most likely the block happened so quickly that some of the miners did not have time to submit shares. Similar thing happened to me on the 15th when we had a quick block, except it went the other way and my shares spiked about 20ths extra.

its 22 dollar worth but for me its like300 bucks i can buy 1.5 weeks worth of petrol or 6 KFC meals. i dont understand it i just dont see it...
I only have one measly pc i mine with which has 1 card and it took me bloody 3-4 weeks
myh only problem is that when i was starting this stuff i installed 3-4 bitcoin cores on one of 2 Desktops with 3 different OSes in total and then also my laptop but it is not in those wallets whats weird is that i see like 2 or 3 in the one wallet i dont know why
maybe i was fking around and i deleted the address from the wallet?
that is long gone then right ?
Maybe I'm reading what you wrote wrong, but if you are mining with a pc and a graphics card, you probably weren't mining bitcoin. At least not $22 worth in a month. One graphics card would be making pennies, not dollars.
