So we seem to have a battle for first place, at the top of the hash rate list, between cobramining and blockmines!
I think blockmines might take the lead in the next few days (or sooner) Smiley

Wow, that looks exciting!
How does someone like me go from having a few old miners (S4,S5,S7)  to have PH's worth of mining like cobramining or blockmines? fascinating!

Hello,

I 've a S9, and I wonder which one is the front fan (the intake?), which one the rear fan (the exhaust?), which one should spin harder? Which one is connected on fan1 and which one on fan2 on the controllerboard?

Wow that had to get pretty hot if it caused the s9 to shut down from over heat protection. Bitmain claims the s9s overheat protection kicks in at 125C on the chip 2 temps compared to only 80c on the s7s   So if that is the case that the s9s can go that high of a temp before shutting down it would have to be pretty ripping hot.

All I know is my Awesome Miner application showed that the S9 miner had shut down because of high temps. I wasn't here at the time.
I have removed the board I determined was faulty and the two remaining boards are hashing just fine within normal temps. Not sure what happened as I was at work.

It's another hot one around here today. Outdoor temps already 86F. But all the miner temps are within a good range.

The front which would be the intake side is the end with the network connection, ip button and the reset. and the rear is the other side were the hash boards power plugs are.

The spots on the controller for each fan off the top of my head the connector closer to the front end is for the front fan and the connector for the rear fan is the connector on the board thats closer to the rear.

Sometimes the front fans will spin faster then the rear exhaust fans do. Sometimes they spin about the same. It all depends on the temps and how well the air flow is cooling it down.

That really sucks if it went in to a high temp shut down and dint come back. Seems as if they should lower the temp it shuts off so it shuts off before it burns up.

Yes, it completely shut down and was not hashing at all, but was still getting power to all boards and the controller. That's why when I looked on the Kano pool worker page and saw one miner was showing zero hash, I knew something was very wrong. Luckily, I work only about 10-15 minutes from home. So I rushed home and unplugged it from the power outlets.
I didn't have time to trouble shoot then because I had to get back to work. It was only after I got home later that I realized a board was dead. Sad
It will have to wait for repair as money is tight.  Undecided

I wasn't aware that you can remove a hashing board and still use use the miner. good to know Smiley
am running on T9s and keeping the room temperature at 17C. Thinking or relocating the miner to work in a cold room at 4C Smiley). the Operating Temperature on their specs is 0°C to 40°C

Just don't power that board and remove the ribbon cable from either end. We have rigs with 1, 2, 3, and 4 cards.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

I guess bitmain do not sell parts? you simply have to send the miner for repair?

I switched from antpool to Kanopool So far so good. The question I have is how much cost to transfer BTC from BTC.com to other wallet such as Coinbase.com. I am still mining in antpool and BTC is automatically transferred to Coinbase with no charge. Why can't Kanopool use Coinbase.com?

It goes to your wallet, Kano has nothing to do with where your wallet is or what 3rd party you give control of over "your" BTC.

If you have to ask "why?", you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Damn right!  It's about time!  When we had like 30PH we were hitting 3-5 blocks a day no problem!  Now we got 50PH and are struggling with just 2 blocks!  Doesn't make any sense!  Huh

I'm mining in Kanopool and I I use coinbase, I put my coinbase wallet ID in the settings in kanopool. Not sure where you got the idea that btc.com had to be used. As I get btc from different sources I use the iphone app from coinbase to check on my wallets there and keep track of payouts from each one. I used their vaults in the past but they are too cumbersome when you really need to get btc out. Which is the whole point of them, so it was mostly my dislike rather than their fault.

Um - you need to think twice about that?

At 50PH we currently expect 1.94 blocks a day.

So I've really no idea what you are actually saying?
