121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: September 29, 2017, 02:38:59 PM
It means BCH is dying, market share is dwindling away, market cap is dropping, more and more companies are dropping support

Need to make place for the next "the best and the only real bitcoin" a.k.a. bitcoin gold, then bitcoin segwit2x, then whatever other nonsense pops up later.

No but seriously, wasn't bitcoin cash created on assumption that segwit2x wasn't going to happen? It seems that people start believing it will happen and thus maybe they don't see much of a use in bch anymore.

https://www.coindesk.com/edward-snowden-zcash-is-most-interesting-bitcoin-alternative/

"Asked for his thoughts on monero, a competing private currency, Snowden said it was "amateur crypto" and pointed to traceability issues within the tech.

Snowden said that such design errors could put fellow whistleblowers at risk, stating: "Mistakes happen and have huge consequences for people like me.""

I'm not up-to-date recently about Monero dev, which mistake is he referring to?

Snowden makes a comment about zcash and zecbtc jumps 50% up. If he bought zcash before his comment and then sold it at the top he might have made some serious money.

Yeh its pretty surprising so much volume is still going through with so little time to go.  Maybe trading will cease but users will still be able to withdraw later.
Just thinking...
what if they dont close? hmm
What if china based exchanges move location? hmm

If they did then there would still be no CNY trading so would be just crypto<>crypto the only advantage chinese exchanges have in china is the ability to trade fiat<>crypto
crypto - crypto sounds fine to me, lol

also , what if exchanges outside of china want to trade in cny...can they be stopped? i dont think so, but not sure.

Would still needs a chinese bank account which would not be authorised and probably would just be closed if used for this purpose

Totally, everyone who wants to have CNY must have a chinese bank account, same as everyone who wants USD must have an american bank account. Using your head, at least time to time, might be useful.

johnsmithx are you a joke or what? You maybe do not even know what BurtW underwent a while ago because only an idiot would reply that way to him. You better keep your keyboard far away when you post something referring to him.
Unbelievable, really.

Little dumb american child, you wouldn't recognize a scam even if it stared right into your eyes, that's how brainwashed you are.
Unbelievable, really.
Ignored.

Is there new airdrop ?
Read the first post on the first page of this thread.  If you are too lazy to do that then you do not deserve to participate in the airdrop.

So first you blame him for being lazy and then you actually support his laziness by telling him where to find the requested information.

But in reality it's all about your signature where you ask people for money, isn't it? While at the same time you dare to have this hypocritical text: "All paid signature campaigns should be banned". Despicable.

bitcoin cash is the real bitcoin it,s important to remember bitcoin cash will become bitcoin.

Which one is it then - "is the real bitcoin" or "will become bitcoin"? Smiley

the general consenus among the majority of Bitcoin fans seems to be that Bitcoin Cash is not even to be taken serious

There is no such thing as the general consensus among the majority of anything. The majority of any group is always silent, they will never speak up so you will never know what they think.

A Chinese with a fake stolen Brazilian name, seems legit.

Technically, China can't ban bitcoin traffic, we have our own sync network. But if China gov say mining is illegal, we are fucked.

Nobody is fucked, absolutely nothing will happen except the difficulty adjusting.

The only real market is Kraken - the rest is trading against USDT, or has no volume, or just not acceptable to be used as exchange

Nothing is preventing you from exchanging USDT for USD.

Can you show proof of ANY USDT->fiat withdrawal? From what I've heard, USDT cash is basically impossible because money won't go in or out of Finex, who owns Tether through a holding company.

I don't need to show any "proof" and what you've "heard" is totally irrelevant. There is at least one very large and reputable exchange that has no problem whatsoever with fiat deposits and withdrawal and where you can trade USDT/USD.

By the way, I did not buy at $300! I wanted to buy and then sell and re-buy but meh, was going to eat.

So you wanted to buy but went to eat instead and now you are blaming yourself for choosing food instead of trading? That's hilarious Smiley I mean imagine a hedge fund manager giving this kind of "excuse" to his investors as an explanation why he missed a potentially very profitable trade ("sorry, I was hungry").

Let's humor this "profits bad" premise that is being suggested as though Jihan is some bad guy because his business exists to make profits... (isn't that the sole purpose of a company to exist in the free market?)

Not the sole purpose. It's not really a purpose at all, rather a requirement (and that's only because the state wants taxes). Various companies have various purposes for their existence, one of which might be making profit.
134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: September 06, 2017, 01:54:40 PM
Also, in addition to those reasons, Bitcoin Cash has existed longer. https://cash.coin.dance/blocks.

That's the stupidest thing anybody said here, at least today.

Ask your elementary school teacher to be so kind and explain to you in the simple words that even you will hopefully understand what the term "to exist longer" means and how time is measured.

Now even if you really didn't possess such a basic knowledge then using a simple logic would be enough to realize what nonsense you just said. Bitcoin Cash is a fork of Bitcoin which means that it couldn't have possibly existed before Bitcoin was conceived, and since Bitcoin is still in the existence then logically Bitcoin Cash cannot possibly be said to have existed longer. But then again, logic is apparently non-existent in your little undeveloped brain, so it's not really surprising that you can't comprehend this either.

Now if we look at some of your other "comments" where beside straightforward lying (for example "a lot of people are telling me in trading rooms" - kiddo, you don't even know what a trading room is) you are even capable of going so low as to shamelessly copy&pasting others' thoughts and then pretending they are your thoughts (for example your text here you stole from here) it's very apparent that you are just a very little very dumb child that is full of bullshit.

3. My long time partner Steve Safronov

That sounds kind of gay. Not cool, dude. There are many children here, you are corrupting the youth!  Shocked

Is there a Bitcoin-Cash dev team?  Are they on vacation?  NO commit in the last month?  Bitcoin-Cash has achieved perfection?

Why would there be any commit? It's a fork, not an independent software.

I don't understand why BCH's mkt cap is so high.
Transferring coins takes forever. Last time it took like 12hours!

You must have tried to transfer coins while they were waiting for the emergency difficulty adjustments to kick in. Now, the magical mystery miner is being generous, and making sure the blocks come about once every 10 minutes or so. I'm sure the magical mystery miner would love to take a break and let another emergency difficulty adjustment kick in. Unfortunately, the BTC.TOP pool operator won't let that happen. After all we have a flock of hungry vulture miners circling around, just waiting to swoop in when the difficulty goes down enough to make it more profitable than the other chain. Good job, BTC.TOp and magical mystery miner. Thanks for
keeping this network on life support!

Cool story.

Oh dear God, you are right! hahhahahaa... in my mind, I read "outnumber" instead of "outnumbered by"... my bad! Cheesy

I don't think that's logically possible. If you read "outnumbered" as "outnumber" it would mean that you don't even read the whole word(s) in which case you wouldn't be able to communicate at all. You have to make up another, more plausible, excuse.

We're quickly approaching a point where BTC is effectively unusable and stuck in place. What value does a commodity have if it isn't transferable? I'll give you my BTC in 60hrs or I'll give you my BCH right now.

Lies and bullshit. BTC is perfectly usable and perfectly transferable. If you don't want to pay enough tx fee then don't use it. All the rest of us have no problem whatsoever.

what happened is vast majority of miners just got up and left as soon as diff increased

Absolutely untrue. Hashrate was for weeks around 0.5. Recently it peaked at 3.3 and now it's at 1.76. At no point "vast majority of miners left", stop lying.
