121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: May 05, 2017, 09:42:50 AM
Final Update (for now)...

The Website Issue...

Again, we FULLY respect your requests and ( uncalled for demands...we get it, trust me Cheesy ) to get a website OP up and running... Once again this enthusiasm and impatience is fully respected and understood and once again, there are things that you do not know.

So, here is the skinny on this issue:

The guy who was working on that site that everyone likes, has disappeared and it not responding to any of us... So, as of last night his deadline (as imposed by our Community Discussion Board) has passed and we have moved on.

In the mean time and since when he first showed us what he could do, we have had many other talented designers offering their time and creativity to have something else available for the community to vote on and yes we will have a vote about what the official XtraBYtes pages will be.

So, we will let you know that we are not going to be using that other design, as nice as it is because we do not have an agreement in place with him. That issue is now OFFICIALLY over and we will not bother contacting him again... it is his loss.

You will be happy with what is being presented for the vote when that time comes and that will be ASAP!!

Thank you all again and please continue to use the links on the posts we make if you wish to share info with someone...

We will get there, don't worry... Slow and steady wins the race because this is a marathon, not a sprint.

Over and OUT! Wink

thats nice and clear. and yes you anticipated my question too. Grin

Can other people in the community make a short youtube recording of them setting up a node. The one so far is so long winded and didn't make things simple at all. It needs to be 5 minutes tops, with no waffling.
123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoin is the most undervalued right now? (list) on: May 04, 2017, 08:48:47 PM
Imagine a coin that is only a week old, NO ICO, No Mining, NO POS, NO premine, completely new consensus system using static nodes that can't be hacked as they are offline, and uses Cord system unique to Crypto. So basically the technology just as great as IOTA and its less than 2million market cap.

Then thats XBY. XtraBytes.

Do your own research on it you won't regret it.
I'd like to put this coin into my list, would you please tell me the what is the price expectation do you have for this coin?

Well IOTA is also trying a new consensus but a completely different method and is just as unique. They haven't even got on an exchange yet and are trading privately at 250 million!

So I'll be conservative and say XBY which has marketcap of 1.5m could go to 100m marketcap quite easily. The system goes online in about 10 days so we should see some rapid growth soon.

withdrawal fee on yobit has changed to 0.01000000? instead of 100?

It always was.

C-CEX updated the wallet

Thanks for the update.

One question:
If I have 1000200 XBY, how can I run two static nodes on same comp.?

Thanks,
Yosir

Not at the moment. You would need another computer. I believe you will be able to run multiple nodes once they set up this first round of nodes at some point.

PLEASE GET THE NEW LOGO AND THIS INFOMATION IN A REDONE OP!!!!!!

This is the time people are looking at this one time, the old logo would put of almost any investor. Huge opportunity to communicate the project gone. I'm starting to see this as a failure in basic marketing. It has been nearly a month now since the OP was posted and the job would take 10 minutes. Give me the damn password and I'll do it!
We have invested in technology not in logo.

It's the technology they need to know about. This is a dreadful mistake. Squandering the biggest opportunity to communicate to the right people on this forum. Big mistake looking like just another shitcoin and not putting the node and consensus information so no one can miss it. Big big mistake. Most people won't check an OP put more than once to decide if it's any good or not. Wasted opportunity for job that takes 10 minutes of cut and paste info.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Xrevolution | POW | X11 | masternodes New wallet UPDATE on: May 03, 2017, 03:22:08 PM
I have a hunch this is a scam attempt at copying the principles behind XBY to grab people's BTC.

XBY is going to be huge. Almost no one knows about it. No miners, No POS,

It has static nodes that can't be hacked as they are offline, and uses Proof of Signature to create consensus. Truely something new.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: May 02, 2017, 02:52:18 PM
Sorry to be critical but there are 3 major points of communication where people find out about a coin.

1. The OP is first buy a mile. The OP has almost nothing about Static Nodes and POSign. No new website links, all to old terrible looking website. In the first 30 seconds someone checks out the is thread you would of lost 90% of serious investors. Ive made OPs before that usinally take 10 minutes of cut and paste as we already have the new logos and information and shiny new website. The OP is overlong and not concise and ultimately says very little. We don't need to know all about how it came out of a scam for one thing.

2. The website. Why are we still linking to old bad one when we have a nice new one that has all the relevant information?

3. Coinmarketcap links. The logo is old, the links go to old website.

Anyone could spend 5 minutes looking at this coin and find nothing that didn't look like any other shitcoin. I know everyone is busy but a clear OP has to be done ASAP.
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: May 01, 2017, 12:30:05 PM
I think there's only 17 days to go for the masternodes.
Where we can see how many nodes are live now?
Either an online list or within the wallet?
Thank you
Go XBY!

OK. That's the code. Thank you

But is there an online place running this script?
I would like to check how many nodes are running.
Investors need to validate that all the hype about the nodes is confirmed by actually nodes being created.
The dev said he want a good quantity of nodes, like 256.
That's a huge quantity of nodes and it's easy to see that a good proportion of the XtraBYtes cheerleaders are short term profit hop'ers.

I'm not attacking, I'm not trolling. Legit concerns only.
Let's see the seriousness of this community.
Thanks

I didn't think you were trolling. Here the problem at the moment, the project is like a screaming new born baby at the moment. The tech might of been in the developers mind for a while but the project is only weeks old. So there is a lot of ducks not lined up and we are just starting to get websites, social media etc in place. Honestly with nodes the absolute priority is to get them set up as its not like nodes on other coins where they can be set up anytime. These need to be done in next 2 weeks as far as I understand. The developer has periodically posted the list of nodes and also given the script for people to look themselves, for a busy guy I think he's done enough on that area for now. I personally don't think we will get 256 nodes in such a short time, that's just the ideal, no one is claiming we have that many, the developer has actually only shown we have about 10. With the interest shown by people to set them up that's not hard to believe.

I think the seriousness of the community will come once we shake off weak small time trader hands and bigger whales join the project. I'm not holding my breath for that until we get on a better exchange personally. But so far pretty amazing community is coming up, the guy who made the Litecoin logo is working with us. In one week we have wallets being made, banners being made, websites, social media...all set up by community with zero bounties, just investor community helping out. So really so far so good.

Price on Yobit is dropping, maybe a chance for me to get a node yet!
Ive dusted off an old dual core laptop, should work for me Cheesy

Dont know whats your intention here.  When coin has good potetial, doesnt matter how much pump & dump happens. If technology of coin is revolutionary. It will go to Top.. Soon you will see XBY in Top 10 in CoinMarketCap

Many of early holders are Yoshit dwellers unfortunately. Hopefully most will dump and stronger more wiser hands will hold. Pump and dump is all they know.

Sorry but we need some other language threads made, anyone willing to do for free? It's becoming like a United Nations meeting during a translator strike on here.

This is interesting, although I dont understand the technology behind it.
I wish you luck, this coin has had a rocky past, I have also picked up a few thousand and I am here for the ride.

Welcome. Yeah I don't think any other coin I know of has started in this way. It could end up being a strength though cause it's made instant community and the fact there is no premine puts us all on the same level...plus it's an interesting human story if we get some press at some point.
138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: April 30, 2017, 07:49:17 PM
Friendly word of warning for those new to using Yobit don't listen to what anyone says in the troll box. The site is a den of pickpocket, bag snatching son of a bitches who would sell they mother for 1btc. The will make 100% on XBY, high five each other and walk on to some shitcoin pump, I'm afraid it's all most of them know.

Even the trading doesn't work like most other exchanges they don't use the buy wall much, it's all traded on the sell wall cause they usually pump a coin and then hope the sucker behind them buys in before the pump collapses. Dumps are if anything attempts to make it look like there is a major dump when really there is not much on the buy wall, they just want cheap coins. This works great for shitcoin pumps, not very well for amazing coins like XBY.....happy trading. Cheesy

We got to get onto Bittrex soon, for my sanity at least.  Grin

XBY is very busy this weekend, please wait for answers to your questions till later. You are asking too many question at one time, it would take the developer away from his work. He did answer your last  'batch' of questions.

Sure, I'm not in any rush. These questions might be important for the developer to at least read though even if he doesn't have time to actually compose a response.

What is your interest? Intellectual curiosity? You want to develop similar ideas into your coin (imitation is the best form of flatter etc) Or maybe are you interested in joining the project? Debunking what you think won't work?

Vorsholk is very good person. no need start fight here.

He seems very knowledgable so I wondered if he might want to join the project. Who's starting a fight? I just asked why he was interested in the project.
