141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: April 29, 2017, 06:37:49 AM
XBY is very busy this weekend, please wait for answers to your questions till later. You are asking too many question at one time, it would take the developer away from his work. He did answer your last  'batch' of questions.

The developer is on slack. Can't you just go there and PM him?
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: April 29, 2017, 03:42:44 AM
When I see people FUD XBY just so they can buy the coin 20% cheaper I got to wonder how much they have damaged the short term rally they could of had. Maybe we could of already be a few million in market cap and had everyone in crypto eagerly researching what XBY is. We don't know but I do wonder.

143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: April 28, 2017, 01:12:09 AM
Well I bought enough for 5 nodes, they only cost a 1btc so I'm no rich guy, yet! But I'm also very lazy and not the kind f person that try to set anything technical up as I hate computers 95% of the time. My point is I doubt I would even bother to set a node up and I sure won't set up 5. I doubt I'm the only one, so the price should be low to account for 50% of people not being bothered.

The question is also many people might own coins but not 1m so then you lose people here.

The important question thing is how many modes for the system is ideal and then guesstimate what would be the best price to attain that.

Assuming the more the better then I have to say 250k

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

This has been a CRAZY week... but I am LOVING it!! How about you all? Having fun yet?? Cheesy

One of the things you are going to see as we go is that everything that needs to be transparent, is transparent and that when we say we are going to do things, they will get done because integrity is the KEY to TRUST and this entire project has to be built upon TRUST.

So, when we say there is an announcement coming, there will be something worth waiting for... Just like this past weekend when we said we were going to release some special information, we released some special information. This is KEY to our long term success and this is the FIRST thing Borzalom and I agreed upon after we began collaborating on February 17th.

Today, we started to see some upward movement with our price again and this is exciting. We have also had an INCREDIBLY busy day on the forum and SLACK and that is awesome... Guess what else is awesome?? We have MANY people stepping up and into self roles to become active in our XtraBYtes community to take the load off my shoulders and I want you all to know that I appreciate this MORE than you can know. Thank you!!

Now... what is next??

Well... with every opportunity I get, I will give all of you an opportunity to spread the word and watch our price "hopefully" rise higher.

We have an announcement coming... it is not coming today though Wink This is just a teaser Cheesy

On Thursday at 23:59:59 GMT there will be an announcement made that is going to get many of you MUCH more excited about what is happening at XtraBYtes!!

So keep talking to people you know... this is a community project and it is something that our extended circles can benefit from in many ways and now could not be a better time...

The more eyes we have on XtraBYtes, the bigger it will become!!

You better release that whitepaper my dude

CC has been clear the whitepaper is a few months away.  I'm not sure what value your post has in light of this.

The value is to create FUD.  Fear Uncertainity and Doubt. The hope is they can crash the price and buy cheap. White papers are one of these things people expect but actually many coins don't have. How could the developer possibly of made a decent White paper in the time the Ico collapsed and they revived the project. Answer is they couldn't it would not of been possible. The tech has now been explained how it would work. Now let's wait for the static nodes to start being set up and we can give a confident message out. After that white paper is no rush or concern.

Everyone, how stable is the Windows wallet? The developers say its experimental and use at own risk. Problem is I don't trust YOBIT, he seems to be banning people who are talking about XBY, or that's how it looks to me. I think he wants to own coins as well and using a bot to accumulate.

Don't want to have my coins there any longer, but should I wait for more stable wallet?
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Database on: April 26, 2017, 10:42:31 AM
This needs to be in the OP description maybe in condensed carefully worded form so people can get what makes this special very quickly. Amazing!

EDIT from Borzalom:

With STaTiC nodes, 90% of the connections are made directly to other STaTiC nodes and the other 10% are connected to nonSTaTiC nodes.

An attacker or attackers cannot know all the the STaTiC node IP's because only 10% or less are connected to untrusted nodes. If any STaTiC tries DOS then the others will immediately blacklist and disconnect the attacker STaTiC. Other nonSTaTiC nodes have access to only 10% of all efforts and transactions.

Your other question about why an attacker will try to attack?

All STaTiC nodes have empty wallets and only ONE available STaTiC is enough to sign the blocks... we don't need more. Other nonSTaTiC nodes also share and accept blocks that come from a trusted STaTiC. I think it is impossible to receive a successful DDOS type of attack. I also think we will not have to wait long before some creative script boys make an attempt of or course if it is possible to to a DDOS, I will find a solution ;-)

This is amazing.. Love this project and what you have in store...can't wait to hear the update on Thursday.. Will be a crazy day then..I saw the walls tumbling down like Jericho today..It was fun to watch..Thank you so much for your efforts and together we all can win!!!

Yes, it was exciting to watch! Smiley

Thank you and once again, great to have you on board!!

It is our pleasure to be doing all this together... Smiley

This has to get on another exchange, anyone submit a request to cryptopia yet?

Cryptopia is going backwards IMO. We need to be on an exchange that can be trustworthy with a large vol. I don't want to scare people but I don't completely trust some random Russian guy that runs YOBIT, if the coin is suddenly worth millions and he holds it there is a lot of motivation for him to run off. Yobit normally only has low vol shitcoins.

BIttrex would be natural next exchange then Poloniex.

Point taken... I was just looking at Cryptopia again... I agree we need to get over to Bittrex.

it is very good. xby will been listed on  bittrex.  when  ?

You misunderstood, he just said Bittrex would be a good goal for next exchange.

I wish people would stop saying they bought at 1sat because it makes it seem like they could easy dump. If you look when the coin was 1sat there was almost no vol so the boasters saying they bought at 1sat bought around 50000 coins which is nothing. Most exchange buying was more around the 35-67 range where there was a boost in vol.

The rich list shows better the real amounts the early ICO and 1 sat traders bought and it's not much in actual quantity.

I bought myself a few million for 2btc at 40-50 sats and im happier than if I bought 35,000 at 1 sat which is what many are boasting.

Can I suggest a new moderated thread when the team get their ducks in line and have a new website and someone to do the graphics etc. All great coins early on get FUDed to death because traders are frustrated they can't buy a large amount cheap so they want the price drop.

Sorry but this seems like its part of a scam. Bastioned in the past developed Checkcoin which IS DEFINITELY a scam and the developer ran off. If you look at the signature of the developer of check coin you will see almost the exact same style of the developer here also.

Don't beleive me check it out, no pun intended.

155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will this be a new Steemit? on: September 28, 2016, 08:04:41 PM
I'm sorry I'm starting this thread as a sock puppet but I have my reasons due to my involvement in a few crypto projects that honestly didn't do well. Anyways.

I'm wondering if Coval with it's Vocal app that hopes to monetize Podcasting has anything like the potential of Steemit? I'm invested but am wondering if it really has potential or not so holding back on buying more till I feel more confident in it. Anyone has any opinions on its potential?
