121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Connect crypto exchange charts to metatrader5 on: June 21, 2018, 12:36:17 PM
Hello guys,

I am new posting in this forum, although I´ve followed and read many posts, I am engineer and developer in this field.

Today, I bring you this interesting theme: how to trade on an external cryptocurrency exchange via Mt5.

I´ve found these links related to this thing: (English and Spanish)

https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/4160
https://www.mql5.com/es/articles/4160

I think it would be a good idea if we can collaborate together and set up a professional environment for trade... Because the charts on the exchanges are so poor, and TradingView free version is so limited. So maybe, metatrader5 could be a good alternative in order to set up an automated environment for trading or use complex indicators or expert advisors.

I am not familiar with this platform (I´ve used mt4 but a lot of time ago and not in a professional way). So, maybe, if anybody has knowledge in MQL5 and in platform mt5, that person would be able to give simple instruction or something like that. My idea is to leave a little tutorial here with the connecting process. Furthermore, I am now in the learning process of this language and platform...

Very interesting topic. Especially people like me who is coming from forex trading background would be so happy to trade from metatrader. I would rather be happy to trade through mt4 as all my indicators are there.

I think btc, ltc, bch, and eth are on the mt4 but depending on which trading house you’re on. Trading pairs for these cryptocurrencies won’t show on the platform of most brokers but will appear on some like primex international corp. havent tried other platforms yet though so i could only name one.
122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: TOA Coin - your travel cryptocurrency on: June 04, 2018, 09:16:38 AM

If you are looking for shortterm investment, TOA is definitly not the right coin for you. It doesnt promise innovation, so investors can not speculate. It never promised anything into that direction.

At the moment BTC is low and so people lose trust into crypto and move their investments to more trusted and bigger coins. smaller alts are all down at the moment.

If you invest into TOA, then its for the longrun. Real and sustainable business takes time to build. Many have wrong expectations of how businesses are built, because they only hear of the few overnight successes, specially in the fast living cryptoworld.

Instead of bashing this coin, you can just dump your holdings, take the loss and move on. No need to waste your time.
Be the change you want to see in this coin. You want a TOA webshop? Create one. You want TOA to become known? Post on your social media about it. And so on....

I dont see a point in your FUD....its not constructive nor does it help to improve your situation....

don't call every appraisal/evaluation FUD. there's a difference.

if the core team believes in the future of toa coin, this belief should translate to better price movements. but with price ever slipping, what does this translate to? to me, it appears like the team behind this no longer have the passion and the drive to market toa. like there's just one person doing everything and he's burned out.

if there's a team here, then it's time for them to rev up and show the community that they're passionate about their project and that they truly believe in it. if there really is a business, how is toa used there? how is toa spent there? how are they encouraged to purchase and hold? are there incentives other than staking? what sort of excitement are offered so interests are piqued? etc. news that will spark renewed interest in this coin.

telling us about bitcon price dropped, so alts' price dropped as well or alts took a beating because bitcoin price rose, is not an excuse for toa price to keep plummeting.

there's a real reason why toa price is dipping and it's not because of bitcoin.

Yeah, youre right. FUD might not be the right word. I just think a bashing without constructive input is not helpful to the project.

TOA did everything according to their Roadmap and keeps delivering. Last marketing stunt they did was the referal program.
How would you suggest to improve the marketing for this project in a realistic way?

Its hard to keep the interest of the mainstream without overpromising. People always assume its easy to make partnerships with the biggest and richest companies...

look, in terms of access, toa is very accessible: you can have it in your mobile, notebook, pc. it's in the travel and tours industry and it has a running cafe so people can (should) have an active need for it. BUT is there a desire to keep and use it? would people with toa HAVE A REASON to get other people involved in toa? maybe go back to your swot analysis and translate that into something concrete. posting and telling the community to put up a site and accept toa payments is good but NOT GOOD ENOUGH. how can such people do that when the figures are showing NO FAITH in toa coin?

merchant tool services will have to start with toa getting a credible service to adopt it and that might give other merchants REASON to list that coin in their site / business. closing deals with industries that will accept toa sure is not easy but making that an objective and closing one will boost toa price because that relates to the beginning of utility and purpose, which in turn translates to the beginning of faith and belief in toa! there has to be a strong reason to let merchants accept the coin and for users to purchase and spend it. if this happens then that will initiate the cycle of utility and purpose for toa. it has to start with toa making the deals not obligating the community to start it.

where is the base of operations for toa? which key cities have toa hubs / cafes? is toa flourishing in those areas? because if it isn't, then maybe that's the problem. there's NO FAITH IN TOA EVEN AT ITS BASE!

Folks always talking about marketing and going viral with the false belief that this type of activity will increase the price.

One of the reasons I like TOACoin is because they don't give a crap about that at this time.

They believe in working with vendors, joint partnerships and creating a WORKING product and getting it out there to the public rather than kow-towing to investors.

Rather than an big hoopla crazy ICO, they did a crowdsale where if you believe in what they are doing, you can simply buy coin packages.

I am okay with their modus operandi. I manage my expectations and don't go around asking silly questions like

1. "When Exchange?"
2. "When Lambo?"
3. "When Airdrop?"
4. "When Moon?"

LOL!

Enjoy your day and remember this...

The real coins have real business models. If you look at a deal as if it is a business, you will suddenly realize that it takes years for profitability.

It will moon as soon as you guys sell. LOL

On the same note, I think TOA has in fact already mooned and a long time ago for that matter. It has been slipping ever since.

currently at 25 sats.  whether bitcoin price goes up or down, this just keeps going down. other alts are able to recover and improve in terms of bitcoin price but this.... could be aiming for 1 sat....!  Huh Huh Huh

admire the fact that this has a "real business model". that's good. how is toa used there again? coz if business is running, price should be improving right?

someone from a few pages back said something about price not being boosted because a number of toa holders might just dump their toa. i'd have to look for that comment and quote it here. anyway, just to react to that, if price recovers to say the previous 120 sat price, the core team behind this shouldn't worry about dumping if it'll happen - if they believe so much in this coin, right? why worry about dumping if business is running and coins'll just change hands? is that not healthy? wouldn't that make hodlers happy and make toa coin competitive? better that than this scenario - scaring away investors....
125  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia: Lot of users with issues in withdrawal and deposit on: May 29, 2018, 09:46:55 AM
I am a regular user of cryptopia, still now not faced any issue with this site.but people are facing problem with this good site! its not good at all.you people can talk with the support team hope they would help you about this kind of issue.

I too am a regular user of cryptopia. I've experienced a few issues but were addressed nicely by cryptopia as well. Now I'm concerned about my eth withdrawal so that means heading off to cryptopia support [again] for answers

Did they answer your ticket?
I've been waiting for weeks... ETH missing from Topias wallet, in WD history it shows the transaction is complete but no ETH has arrived to my wallet nor the TXID provided by them is valid. Been using Topia for a good year and had a good impression about them, but the lack of communication on their part makes me question alot of things... are they too greedy to hire more people who can work as support or what is their issue I wonder...

Mine was resolved. Support said that my request “failed to broadcast” and so i was given a refund. My eth is now in my destination wallet. Send them screenshots of your transaction. Check your withdrawals log and send them that too. Maybe they can investigate and give you a decent answer for your concern....

is anyone else having issues with eth withdrawals at cryptopia? i made an eth withdrawal request yesterday and up to this time it's still posted as "processing" in my withdrawal log #4152125

hope all is well and the system issues have all been addressed nicely
I also made an ETH withdraw sometime yesterday only and it went out just fine.

That was my last money I entrusted with cryptopia and I am glad that I have taken it out of the shady exchange. I won't be going back to the exchange for trading or for whatsoever purpose.

My money left fine as well. Lucky. Im with you, using this exchange is just a constant headache. You shouldn't have to worry about your money. I dont with Binance, Trex and Kraken. In the slightest. Goes to show you that quality service is available. No idea why Cryptopia is so bad at it. Well I do, just cant prove it.

Mine was resolved after reaching out to support. They said that my request "failed to broadcast" and so i got an eth refund. Sent my eth again early this morning and it's now in my destination wallet.

I've been an active cryptopia user and issues I've had with them thus far have been resolved. After closing tickets, there's a satisfaction survey to fill out so I suppose they want to reach out and find out how users feel about their service and the intervention they've provided. I think they're taking steps to build back trust.

as of this writing, btc is at $7,885... perhaps all the news about electricity costs of btc mining and how that affects the environment is influencing sell offs. that and news regarding regulations, and more trash talk aimed at bitcoin is weighing the price down i think
130  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: May 17, 2018, 12:56:18 PM
So many countries now were prohibiting the use of virtual cryptocurrencies.
no not really. there are some handful of them that actually banned them. i think there is either 2 or 3 countries. the rest have banned illegal activities such as money laundering and ICOs not cryptocurrencies.

Quote
And to think that many unemployed individuals were beginning to uplift their way of living because of their dealings with cryptocurrencies.
you are wrong again.
there has been many people who invested in them but at the same time many of them were idiot enough to invest in bad things such as ICOs and lost a lot of money.

Quote
Banks doesn't expressly say why it is banning the use of Bitcoin.
because they have NOT banned anything.

I agree. Banks have not banned it (yet) and I don’t think they ever will ban cryptocurrencies. It’s still relatively new to the lot of them but they know that they will need to understand cryptocurrencies and the technology(ies) behind it to keep abreast with the times. Otherwise, they’ll soon be rendered obsolete.
131  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC again Fall down at 7k?! on: May 17, 2018, 12:35:03 PM
I dont see any problems with bitcoin dipping to $7k. If it does, it’s a good price to buy. I missed the $6k something price dip and only got in at the 7k level. Would buy in again if it goes back there.
132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reddcoin (RDD) and its future.. on: May 13, 2018, 03:21:53 PM
if it's a good coin to trade and increase your btc, then buy some. watch out for trends so you can buy and sell at proper times. it's been around since 2014, so no risk of devs abandoning this. so for me, i'd rather stick to this and trade it than switch to an unknown new coin that may look promising now but could easily be abandoned within a year.

Hi lafu. Trading activity is hampered because of a buggy system. When I place buy or sell orders, I get error messages and the buy/sell order I make won’t show on my list of open orders. When I request for a withdrawal, I get errors too, and email verification wont send.

Can you tell how soon, like an estimate maybe on when everything should be running smoothly? Thanks.

i agree that it is promising and so i'm shifting some of my assets into ADA. i'm just having issues downloading the Daedalus wallet. i've checked my connection many times and did speed tests with a relatively fast result but wallet fails to download. i'm downloading the windows 64 version.
136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA) Coin - would you invest? on: March 30, 2018, 04:16:08 PM
After the overwhelming success of Vitalik Buterin and his offspring Ethereum, many developers undertook to create new crypto-currencies with an integrated function of smart contracts. However, not all projects have been successful. What can not be said about Cardano - the crypto currency, which appeared only a few months ago, but already managed to conquer the Asian market and enter the world top crypto currency.this currency has a great future!!!!

need to shift to a different asset and trying to decide between qtum and cardano. qtum is a very good coin but is now pricey while cardano is just as good and price is still affordable. i think cardano does have just as bright a future ahead as qtum does, so cardano it is then.

Thank u... in advance..  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: March 21, 2018, 02:49:16 PM
Then I left CRYPLY as big Giant CPU farms have entered now and mining 8000+ coins daily and dumping the exchanges with  lower price, hence the coin value is not increased and its very difficult to mine with my I7 8500K CPU , it gives me  10-11 CRYPLY coin  daily these days.
This could be a noob question, but how do you know all that?

No offense to the other guy, his response is fine but I would just like to point out something else that everyone should learn and understand.  There are two key observable facts when it comes to being knowledgeable of mining and trading operations:

1) Difficulty is an observable fact.  Difficulty can be observed using different methods.  For one, just open up the coin wallet, go into the debug console, and then type a command like "get info" to see the current difficulty.  another way is to simply go to a block explorer for the coin you are interested in.  Let's take Cryply for example, here is the explorer site: https://explorer.cryply.io/  and here is the stats site: https://explorer.cryply.io/?page=stats  Both show the difficulty.  Some coins will have a difficulty chart for the entire life of the coin.  Unfortunately, my brief search didn't find such a chart for Cryply.  However, if it is a coin you have been mining you may already know the difficulty progression and you may have even taken notes at different days of mining to see what the difficulty is.  When you see the difficulty multiply by several factors (2x, 5x, 10x, 100x, etc) you know your coin got a lot more interest from miners.

2) Trading of coins and resulting price movement is also an observable fact.  So let's say you have been watching that difficulty chart and let's go a step further and say you have also been observing the coin's market trading actions.  When you see a coin go from low volume/difficulty and high price to high volume/difficulty and diminishing price you can be sure that miners are mining and then immediately dumping.  What you want to see is difficulty go up (preferably after you've mined at low difficulty because you were so sage and wise in your mining decision) and the price go up as people HODL because the coin is so awesome.

That about sums it up.  I hope that explains how anyone can track mining difficulty and market price movements.  There are more analytics that could be done for even greater granularity.  I'll save if for now or feel free to PM me.

I have high regard for people who impart knowledge. Thanks for explaining stuff like difficulty and its relation to price movement. Im new to mining and am trying to learn as much as I can about cpu and gpu mining. With an i7 core, am looking to mine cpu mineable alts as well. Question is, which altcoin will still be profitable despite the dumping sprees; something that doesnt have the risk of being abandoned by its dev team?
140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia P102-100 Mining GPU's coming up (Mining version of the GTX 1080ti) on: March 15, 2018, 06:42:18 AM
Why are so many people talking about ethereum hashrate on nvidia hardware? Have you guys really not got the memo about this?

For the 1060, ETH has been a better option than ZEC most of the time if not always 'till the DAG file gets too big for the 3GB version.
Right now, the 1070 is a tossup mining ZEC vs ETH if you run it at efficient power settings (110 watts or less ballpark), as it loses NO hashrate on ETH in that ballpark - and recent price moves on ZEC vs ETH have given ETH a definite though small lead.

1080, 1080ti, forget ETH - it earns less.
1050 ti is better off on ETH, 1050 better off on ZEC, but both are low efficiency abet the 1050 is still "non-gouge priced", does OK on hash/$ as a result, and both are widely available.

This comment caught my interest. I've been looking everywhere in my area for 1080ti but stocks are out, so are 1080, 1070 and 1070ti. There are a few 1060s around but there are lots of 1050s. So if you intend to mine eth/etc, you mean 1050 will efficiently mine these better than the higher series? Because if that is the case, would it be a good recommendation to stack up on 1050ti for eth/etc?
