12041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You got enough money to create a gambling site, what will you do different? on: July 07, 2016, 07:50:19 AM
An investor just gave you enough money to hire a huge team of professional developers and to create your own gambling website? What will set your gambling website apart from all the other gambling sites? Will you invent something? What are your ideas? Why would your site stand out? Discuss!  Grin

I would like to see a sports betting site side by side with fantasy sports games. I read an article that the fantasy sports industry is booming, so why not attract both sports bettors and fantasy sports players in one site and create a synergy?
12042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum isn't even close to being dead and yes any fork is GOOD. on: July 07, 2016, 07:38:41 AM
Ethereum is not dead. Who said it died? But a fork is both good and bad. The good is investors get their ETH back, but the bad is the stigma it has for being the blockchain that rolled back transactions. That could have a huge negative impact on the platform in the long run. That's just my humble opinion.
12043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is dogecoin worth to invest? on: July 07, 2016, 07:32:20 AM
OP, it would be better for you to keep holding and invest in bitcoin rather than holding dogecoin. You're better off with it in the long run. There's nothing really going on with dogecoin except for its community support and even that is dwindling.
12044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The most widely used altcoin on: July 07, 2016, 07:25:42 AM
What would u consider, what would u think, is the MOST WIDELY used cryptocurrency, both when it comes to :

the usage all over the world, usage by people from all walks of life, usage by different genders, usage by all kinds of age groups?

Apart from the Bitcoin,  which alty would this be?

Is there even any that is widely used yet?

~CfA~

Hard to say because there's none. The only altcoin close to being bitcoin is litecoin. But that doesn't even get in your criteria.
12045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is nothing funny in The DAO "attack" on: July 07, 2016, 07:22:08 AM
There is a white hat attack. It seems most coins are secured.

See the date, see the notice.

fun  Grin Grin Grin

and yeah OP, i agree with you. but the main point of making jokes with these is the fact that people still buy ethereum... even with that said in this topic people still belive... that's not hope, that stupidity.

That is old news. Today we have the hard fork:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4r9yud/the_current_hf_status/?st=iq9k6bus&sh=d4303e35

From what I see there, most people support the hard fork. So maybe the hard fork will be implemented.

The problem is that if the DAO holders get back their Ethereum, they might dump the coin immediately.

But I heard most of the DAO holders are long term investors of the Ethereum, they might not dump to fast.

Sooner or later they will reach a breaking point. In 2 - 3 years I think some of them would have to dump if no bank or company uses the Ethereum blockchain. We've seen this happen to NXT, Bitshares plus others. They just fell from the top 10 at coinmarketcap.
12046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is it, Eth is truly going to zero on: July 07, 2016, 07:12:32 AM
It's so sad to see what Ethereum is going through. I will take years for the stigma to rub off. I don't think any bank or company will be interested in using their blockchain. Their plan to do a hard fork will only make matter worse for their image. My guess is their only doing that to save investors money. So the "too big to fail" comments on the DAO could be true. It's a shame.
12047  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: July 07, 2016, 07:04:30 AM
I just joined the campaign. I did the whole process. I just want to ask if that's it? Everything will be automatic from here on forth?
12048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: July 07, 2016, 06:26:35 AM
Any kind of addiction is a disease that needs to be handled and fixed thru therapy. I've read a lot about gambling addicts that stole money from their family and even their jobs just to satisfy their gambling habits.

This campaign doesn't pay any more - don't join it

Why? What is the problem?

the problem in this campaign is so much delay on payments, you might get your payment for this week in a month or two time so if you don't want to wait that long you should leave this campaign and find another one that pays on-time

That's a pity. Now I have reached the rank of "member", how will they know I have just been promoted?
12050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know when to stop? on: July 07, 2016, 06:01:20 AM
Sometimes you just have a feeling that you should stop. This comes with experience I think. If you doubt it then think of the times when you already won a certain amount and telling yourself to stop but continued playing on. What was the result? You lost, right? There's a little voice in our heads that tells us to stop. We should listen to it. Same goes for having a small loss, that little voice tells us to stop and if you don't listen your loss will become huge.

12052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino vs Land Based Casino *poll* on: July 07, 2016, 03:08:11 AM
I prefer land based casino because can enjoyed the atmosphere and meet sexy young girls in casino instead stressful desktop screen, how about you?

It really depends on your situation and how much money you have. For me, I prefer to gamble online because for a little amount of money, I can place bets on the games I want to play. It is also convenient because I don't have to drive to the casino just to play. The casino in my area is almost 1 hour away. But sometimes I like to go to a land based casino and gamble with friends and have a drink or two with them.
12053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you want to become Rich you need to Put Higher bets on: July 07, 2016, 03:04:22 AM
Is it really true that if someone want to earn big from gambling he need to make a higher bets? Yes he can also loose but if he is lucky enough he can earn big amounts too. People can not make profits with lower bet amounts like .05 etc. you need a higher amounts bets.

You can make higher bets if you have enough money in doing so. In the long run you will lose if you keep placing higher bets with little money as back up.
12054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is the most profitable gambling? on: July 07, 2016, 03:02:31 AM
Baccarat can be profitable if you know what you're doing. The house usually has the edge, but if you place you bets well and size them well you will be able to profit if you're on a winning streak. But you should also have control and quit when you are losing. There are different strategies in Baccarat that can be obtained online with a simple google search.
12055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: July 07, 2016, 02:42:26 AM
I think most of us here want to gamble for profit, but we end up losing money because we should be gambling for fun instead.

There is a relationship for the people who want to gamble for fun and those who gamble for profit. The more sharp gamblers take the money of the people who gamble for fun usually. This makes for a symbiotic relationship in the gambling economy. For that economy to grow, gamblers who do it for fun is needed.
12056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: July 07, 2016, 02:39:12 AM
I agree with OP. Everyone losses in the long run, especially on dice sites or casino games that have provably fair, but if you have big bankroll, you can go long run on it.
yes it a fact. i think every one know about this. buts still no one can still quit gambling. they have so many examples in front of them. but still they believe that they can earn from gambling and in the end they do advise to other to not to do gambling.

This is what you called gamble addiction and hypocrisy LOL.  Anyway yes gambling will let you win at the beginning to trigger your inner greed and fortify your belief that "you can win next round".  With the successful method of doing so, you ended up losing all at the long run.  House EDGE kicks in, 20 x lose in a row and still believing you will win next time LOL.
Yeah you are not going to win in the long run because that is just almost impossible to do.
I also have lost many more times then that I won so I have learned my lesson.
Winning in the long run is what most gamblers experience but not everyone losses in the long run, it matters on the games we play and if it has a house advantage the title would only apply, but skilled base games will give us a good chance to win.
Yup in base skill games we have a lot of chance to win our bet in the long run. But here we have to care very full, and we have to be very quick in the game. And also in sports betting you can make longer term win but here sometimes we see some unpredict result, but it is ok this will not happen daily. So here also you can make long term win.

In any aspect of gambling only the house has the favor on it. If you are going to realize that then that's the reason why everyone is losing always in the long run.
It is better to stay away from gambling and avoid your gambling pleasures.

Not all aspects. There's sports betting in which you can choose which lines to bet on. If you're a good sports analyst you could gain an edge. Poker is the same thing, you can also gain an edge by various strategies. In Black Jack you can count cards and gain the edge in your favor.
12057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: July 05, 2016, 01:17:27 PM
I have noticed so many players are just gambling for the sake of profits only. But majority of them loses most of the games eventually as they are not smart players.

So how should we gamble in a smart way so that we do not get more frustrations due to continuous losses?
Just easy, set a goal which is 10 or 20% of your bankroll, once you reach it, you go away and spend your profit in important things.,
if you have done that, repeat the process, when you lose, its not like you lose all,
and if you will do this, you are most likely to win, more that loose.

Wrong. In order to grow your bankroll for gambling, you should not spend your profit. This will hurt you in the long run. The only time you should use your gambling winnings is when you really need the money or when you hit a big jackpot.
12058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can you earn with gambling? on: July 05, 2016, 01:09:53 PM
You can not know in advance where you will end your session.Whether it will be with profit or loss. All depends on your luck if you have good time then good odds will appear in you favor. Many times this happened to me when I was sure will make huge but ended up at empty hands.I also watch when in few minutes made good money unexpectedly.

You need discipline. All losing gamblers have the lack of discipline, while all the winners know when to quit and know when to continue.
12059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: July 05, 2016, 01:08:13 PM
Not actually if you have proper strategy and patience then long term also can return good profit. There are some tactics which are probably used in gambling.
Bitcoin gives great platform for anonymous gambling.

But be careful before investing. Invest that much whatever can be affordable.

Gambling is all about edge. If you don't have the edge, don't gamble if you're doing this for the money. Because the house always has the edge. But if you're doing this for fun, then by all means, gamble all the way. One thing professional gamblers have in common is that they become broke in some point of their lives on more than one occasion.
12060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: July 05, 2016, 01:03:26 PM
Again and again, people blames gambling just because there are some players cant control themselves. It is funny when you say gambling is wrong or not depending on the players who play.
Come on dude, when you cant control yourself so it is definitely your own fault because it is something that comes from your own mind/heart. Dont blame other things that make you cant control yourself.

I agree !  Gambling is just some sort of a game where you win some or you lose alot.  Pretty much it is the people's decision wether  it will affect then negatively or positively.  Like when we said money is the root of all evil.  LOL, money is just a thing.  It can bring alot of good thing too.  So all in all I think gambling is just a neutral stuff that men's action and decision are the one that is wrong.

Money is not the root of all evil.  The lack of money is the root of all evil. So it's really bad that a lot of people resort to gambling to acquire more money when the lack of it is their problem in the first place.
