A few days back. No improvement in fees indeed. I paid a pretty stunning amount to move an input heavy one but I'd already steeled myself for that.
If you don't mind my asking how many satoshis per byte id you pay, and did you choose mycelium's highest priority fee? If I want a very fast confirmation when there's a high backlog of unconfirmed transactions I'm prepared to pay $1, but I draw the line at $2. Um, I can't remember. The fee was about $16 on the normal fee, yes really, on 2 or BTC but that made up of about 25-35 ish inputs. It seems to be rather excessive even with far fewer inputs.

Lol i just received it. A half hour past the confirmation time lol. They were trolling me bigtime. Made a big trade loss because of them. I thought you'd been reborn as a die hard holder? Don't depend on a third party's timing if you've got money on the line.

They have a banking charter which I believe will include insurance for your USD in case they fail. Not too sure about the coins themselves. I doubt there's anywhere more legit than there but that isn't really saying too much when it comes to Bitcoin infrastructure.

IMO, the United Kingdom should not be allowed to posses the nuclear weapons anymore. They are no longer a super-power, and if Germany and Japan can do without the nukes, then there is no reason why we should allow the possession of such weapons by the UK.
Hey, I helped pay for them with the tax on my hot take out food so I'd like to keep them. They're lots of fun for everyone and spawn cool James Bond esque facilities.

It's a very interesting question. I get the feeling he'll slowly become more bored and stick to watching TV while other people come up with the stuff to sign. Plenty of swamp dwellers will delight in having someone so stupid and unengaged. Feed him the right outrage and he'll do what they want.

If we don't get back to home mining, bitcoin will be a toy in the hands of douchebags like Wutang and VogelRer.
It's a great idea, but if you can mine at home then that also means someone else can fill a warehouse with the same home mining gear.

He's probably tweeting from a Chinese death van so I for one don't blame him for sounding a bit moody.
He could certainly do with brushing up on his PR skills. Many, many people are itching to find a way to dispose of his influence.

So we can say BU is in a coma and soon will die.
I think it can keep chugging indefinitely but won't advance much or any further than it already has. If it does continue to breathe I suppose that gives time for its supporters to come up with more ideas. Dunno what they'd consist of.

I think it's a genuinely pathetic and shit metric, but it's hard to know what might replace it for simple reference. Perhaps some balance of trading volume vs supply but that still wouldn't be soundbitey enough for most people.

I would be jolly nice to everyone, give presents on a monthly basis and make sure everyone lived happily ever after. The end.

Some impressive alt blood right now. Does this mean Bitcoin isn't 100% completely dead at this particular moment?

So is signalling.

Do we expect to start seeing more buying pressure or demand from Japan, what the 2nd/3rd largest market, officially recognizing Bitcoin as a regulated payment method? This seems very positive overall since it is such a large Bitcoin supporting market... http://www.coindesk.com/japan-bitcoin-law-effect-tomorrow/Japanese 'dominance' is down to the zero fee exchanges. We all saw what happened when that came to an end in China. As far as I can tell no one in Japan has much or anything to do with Bitcoin. Maybe this might produce a wee boost, or squash any innovation there completely.

Seems like utter bilge dating from around 2012. I'll carry on being unfashionable and use it for things that aren't nefarious.

Call me a madman but i think that SEC will approve this.
Yup. You're as mad as a Ford Focus being driven by a pheasant wearing a Batman costume. Much of trading takes place on places with even less regulation than your average Bitcoin exchange. The SEC doesn't care about centralised development, just the trading. And that's probably a convenient umbrella for all the other stuff they don't like or understand.

Imagine what will happen if Scotland secedes from the United Kingdom. The UK is a super power (or more reasonably said, an ex-super power). Scotland will be never able to achieve the power and dominance, which is currently wielded by the UK. Also, remember that the UK is a nuclear power.
I don't think Scotland has the slightest desire to be powerful and dominant. Happy and prosperous sounds like a much more cheerful plan. I'd rather be living in somewhere like Iceland which has zero desire to fuck with anywhere else than Russia or the US.

If this technology gets to the secret services or terrorists, it could have very serious consequences. Why geneticists have banned the experiments on human beings? Because technology allows us to artificially raise soldiers. I think you need to ban this technology for the same reason.
Tech like this will arrive at some point. It won't be possible to uninvent it either. Never in human history has everyone agreed to not research and create something potentially advantageous. Someone, somewhere will do it.

The product isn't currently working plus the release and the thread is a complete shambles.
Then what's the point of mentioning it?
