1221  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Should we have a two, or even three, tier fee structure? on: May 24, 2023, 02:40:51 PM
Should people who effectively clog the blockchain pay a financial penalty. If smaller transactions ( smaller in size, and not in value), were charged a low efficiency fee, and larger ones had to pay quadruple ( say ) fees, then there would be a disincentive to submit so much rubbish on the blockchain. How could this be implemented? Would it require two mempools, or just approval by the miners?
I think, to discourage clogging the blockchain, you could implement a fee structure that charges lower fees for smaller transactions and higher fees for larger transactions. The fee validation process would involve classifying transactions based on size or complexity, and validators or miners would verify the provided fee. Insufficient fees may result in rejection or lower priority for inclusion in the blockchain
What causes rejections of transactions is when the fee is low and can't carry the confirmation process and most sometimes some of the exchanges needed high fee to process faster, using insufficient before fee is like turning everything upside and it's contradictory to understand.
1222  Other / Meta / Re: Crimes of signatures campaign affects forum? on: May 21, 2023, 10:51:34 PM
I believe your concern also has to do with the closure of the longest running campaign (chipmixer) on the forum and the investigation ongoing on the issues of money laundering and maybe any other fraudulent activities the FBI might charge them with in the future. You shouldn't  be worried as I think the forum is safe from any charges the FBI is giving to chipmixer
I have no fear for anything, I asked a question because of my worries of government seizing a website with some reasons and I have none ideas of FBI investigating the forum, I just asked my question on a neutral ground because of what I thought of crime and government intervention, I have be cleared of signaturesm campaign not to contribute an act that will leads of seizing this website, since forum no crime of signatures campaign can cause problem to bitcointalk I have no worries, because I notice a signature campaign that all the participants is on red tag and the name is 1xbit, won't this signature campaign bring a negative name for bitcointalk because of their several accusations which has not be clarify?  Can't government investigate forum because of their act??
1223  Other / Meta / Re: Crimes of signatures campaign affects forum? on: May 21, 2023, 07:03:51 PM
Bitcointalk is basically just a forum platform where people discuss about all things crypto. It doesn't endorse any particular businesses, and therefore cannot be held responsible for any shady business going down.

Now, when it comes to signature campaigns, the responsibility falls on the organizers and the members themselves. The forum cannot be held accountable for the actions and choices made by individuals participating in these campaigns and who choose to wear certain signatures. But, there are also rules in place, right? Members are not allowed to promote illegal activities, and that applies to signatures too.

So, the bottom line is that everyone has to take personal responsibility. Bitcointalk provides a platform, but it is up to the users to make sure they are not doing things that could get them into trouble or engage in any activities that may have legal implications.
So you want me to believe that no crime of signature campaign that can affects the forum, and if action should be taken if a signatures campaign commit crime that will bring intervention of government the action will go directly to the organisers of that particular signatures campaign, that means that forum is autonomous and everyone is promoting its business will bear the consequences when issue's or when theirs complications of distrust and investigations.
1224  Other / Meta / Crimes of signatures campaign affects forum? on: May 21, 2023, 03:12:43 PM
I have taught of this seriously and I began to have a biased concern to bitcointalk if any signatures campaigns in bitcointalk can affects the existence of bitcointalk if they commit a crime that leads to government investigations. Secondly do we believe that bitcointalk can  be obstructed by government if their is a noticeable crime by the management? From my understanding it seems to me that bitcoin existence is different from the bitcointalk forum and without the existence of bitcointalk forum bitcoin will continue existing, what's your take on this.
This idea came to me through what happened to the site of bitcointalk few days ago which I couldn't logins my account for sometimes, I wasn't happy when the incident occur. Please I asked this few questions because I want to know what I don't know, and if my question is not ideal please don't crucify me.
1225  Local / India / Re: 20% TCS when Debit/Credit card used for International transaction on: May 20, 2023, 12:16:58 PM
I will not dispute your opinion because if we put your suggestions into practice it might work out, but I want to let you that in some countries you can't use bitcoin and make international transaction because theirs some restrictions of payment with Bitcoin expect that you converted it to fiat currency before a payment will process. theirs different between this and investment, i will like you to understand it.

1227  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Willing my bitcoin to my children on: May 16, 2023, 08:13:59 AM
Investment with bitcoin is good but it have a disadvantages when death occur, bitcoin is not a property which your children can inherits like other properties that is mark able, I notice that with all the I have being investing in bitcoin if mistakenly I return to my maker without by children knowing my bitcoin wallet security password, that means that my bitcoin will remain in my wallet till eternity, this gives me a nightmare, my kids are three and I want to have different wallet of bitcoin and WILL my bitcoin to them with the password of each of the wallet. Because my investment in bitcoin I will make sure that they have know bitcoin because of the wallets I will issue to them, because if they are not willing to learn bitcoin I can't force them to learn and understand bitcoin, but when I'm no more the will know the important of knowing the basic of bitcoin,  but I'm not planning to die now, but we don't what tomorrow will result out in the future.
1228  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great! on: May 15, 2023, 08:52:24 AM
I can see that the journey of bitcointalk is a gradual process, it's has being awhile I join the journey of bitcointalk and I almost backslide for the journey due to criticism, but i kept moving because i want to know more of bitcoin i would have being discouraged but i decided to push on.

1230  Other / Beginners & Help / The joys of congratulations on: May 11, 2023, 11:19:34 PM
I'm glad to congratulate myself for ranking up with two Bitcoin gold as symbols having possessing the rank of member, When I started this journey I thought that I will not get to this certain rank because I was discouraged with some comments of criticism in my thread but I was determined to continue the race because I have desire to learn and understand bitcoin through bitcointalk, my determination motivated me to read other people comment's and I told myself that i will reach to the position of member rank one day, and today I became a member.
What I noticed in this forum is that, it's all about determination and desires but not all about desperation, and secondly I think that consistent research is one of the keys that keeps users moving forward and not to be backslide in anything concerning Bitcoin.

When I registered in bitcointalk I don't know too well concerning forum and bitcoin, but with the help of forum I'm able to know some of the wallets that's good for bitcoin storage and some valuable altcoin that's good for investment, so without forum I won't have known altcoin as sub bitcoin and electrum wallet as a good wallet, assuming I have not found myself in bitcointalk forum i won't have known all these today. I want to openly say that I'm grateful for been a member of bitcointalk and also founding myself in the mixed of people who embrace bitcoin and also discuss the positivity of bitcoin. I have noticed that many other people obtain the knowledge of Bitcoin through bitcointalk forum, I use this opportunity to thank everyone for a link shared for me to update me with the goodies of forum.

Should Incase I'm wrong for posting how excited I'm for reach member position, you can direct me where to celebrate my rank.
1231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: May 11, 2023, 02:42:15 PM
I want to know bitcoin wallet that will be nice for receiving payment with bitcoin that will be safe for this business payment.
I think a choice of wallet for the business depends mostly on how you plan to spend the bitcoins you receive as payment for your gas, if you plan to hold the bitcoin as an investment for long short or long term, using a cold wallet is most advisable, and that could be a hardware wallet.

But if you plan to sell off the bitcoin immediately so as to convert it to cash to enable you buy more gas to sell, I personally would advice you receive your bitcoin payment through an exchange you trust and  can withdraw directly to your bank account from, and such exchange are..
1. Binance
2. Remitano..

I personally I have been using Remitano since 2016, though binance is big, I still prefer remitano for its simplicity and fast withdrawal to bank account.
Well said and nice advice too but I feel in such case the coins will definitely be needed to sell off because Op is currently running a business and in business the money gotten from the sales of the product and services  are used to restock the business so as the person can easily evaluate the proposed profits from the business. And if this is the case with Op, then an exchange wish was advised is probably the best option.
I have state it like twice that any payment made with Bitcoin the money will be replaced with another business money, so I'm saving the Bitcoin for long time or anytime I wish I can withdraw the coin, but for now I'm not withdrawing my bitcoin, and that's why I asked for best wallet that have higher security so that people will not hack the wallet easily or steal my coins, the opinion above is a good advice for someone who wants to return market with the business funds and especially the one that is being paid with Bitcoin, but I have decided to be buying more of Bitcoin for feature purpose
1232  Economy / Economics / Re: Without government job we can survive on: May 11, 2023, 02:19:49 PM
At first I thought that everything had to be resolved and became the responsibility of the government, but after I was an assistant to government staff it turned out that government problems were very complicated and needed many parties to solve them. work then the best step is to trade or farm.
Government is complicated depends for the rulling class of that time, their is someone who will assume power and people will like government but when people working him misbehave they will be an automatic sanction directly to the person or the sector, i want to tell you that government can make our living to be easier but when bad people assume office citizens find it difficult to survive by having the mindset of having small entrepreneur mindset of establishment.
1233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best wallet to use as beginner on: May 11, 2023, 02:11:03 PM
I have noticed that I'm wrong by mentioning exchanges as wallet to be use, now i have noticed the real wallet's and it's the right time to edit my post and cut out the list of exchanges i used as wallet so that newbies like me will come across of thread and think that what have being written there is the rightful wallet to use. I thank everyone for your suggestions and I'm ready to learn more from you all.
As a newbie, you have to focus on 1 thing, you have to just focus on 1 coin that you are interested. For example, If you want to focus on bitcoin, then you have to download a wallet that has bitcoin only inside, for example, electrum. If you download a wallet that has many altcoins inside like trust wallet, coinomi and etc, I am really sure it will make you careless about safety, it will make you not focus, your brain will split with too many think, this ever happened to me.

I can see that Bitcoin wallet that people mainly recommend is electrum, because believe that from the recommendation it believing that it has a higher security, from other of my discussion in Bitcoin discussion many people recommended this particular electrum and when I asked they told me why they recommend that for me, i know I created this thread from the beginning of me trying knowing what's wallets and their security functions
1234  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Avoid Ponzi/Ponzi scheme is a scam on: May 11, 2023, 02:01:26 PM
Snip

Well you can not prevent everyone from falling victim to ponzi scheme, some people are just unawera and also uninformed about things that happen around them. I don't know for others though but some times we really can not blame some people that fall into these schemes because most of them have really passes through some difficult situations in their life and when they hear about anything that can give them quick profit, they will just divert their attention to it and if they just hear one or two person giving testimony about the ponzi, they will totally agree to it, not knowing that it's just a plot by those ponzi platform to win the trust of a whole lot of people and when they have succeeded in doing so, they will just carry out their plans of ceasing all individuals funds and disappear.
We can prevent people not to be victim of scam with carrying out a campaign against scammer's with their fake platform, like assuming it's when this GMG platform was launched newly and people noticed it in time raised alarm of the ponzi scheme been a scam investment platform some people who lost their money wouldn't have lost their money, from the picture you can see that people has already invested and also been scammed

I have another thing that gives me income, I'm investing in Bitcoin at least I want to it to stay like more than four years before I can withdraw those of the payment made with Bitcoin, so I'm looking for long term storage of Bitcoin that will secure my coin, even now I'm planning to sell some of my abundant properties to invest in Bitcoin.
1236  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: May 11, 2023, 06:55:48 AM
I establish a mini (unity gas station) in my environment, And I feel that since am into bitcoin I can use this part to make bitcoin to be known in my area by implementing two systems of payment in my gas filling station, ( fiat and bitcoin) do you know that some youths who knows about bitcoin is interested to make payment with bitcoin and people who doesn't what's bitcoin began to ask of the meaning of bitcoin, and answers has been given to them base on my understanding in bitcoin.
So many of my customers and youths mostly is interested to make payment with bitcoin, I want to know bitcoin wallet that will be nice for receiving payment with bitcoin that will be safe for this business payment.
Congratulations and it's a good plan.  But you need to design the bitcoin payment gateway in such a way that it doesn't charge too much transaction fee to make bitcoin payments there.
I give you a small advice that.  You can have some facilities like Binance P2P transaction through pay id.  You can have the facility of transfer through email from coinbase, etc.  In this case, the person who will make the Bitcoin payment will not need any transaction fee.  So in this case Bitcoin users may be more interested in Bitcoin payments
Many people recommended Electrum, and with their explanation I was told that it's has higher security and its good for business, but since you have make this point, I make sure that I work on your advice  because the rate of high fees in transaction of bitcoin
1237  Economy / Scam Accusations / Avoid Ponzi/Ponzi scheme is a scam on: May 06, 2023, 12:32:30 AM
Be aware of GMG website, should Incase kind of website will be close to your country, this site is a ponzi scam website where you will be asked to invest with the them, some days a go some people who invested with site because of a skirt Maker who promoted the site and many people thought with the skirt Maker who is promoting the GMG website that the site will be legit. So I'm of the opinion that we should avoid ponzi scheme and also make sure we make a research properly before investing in a newly created website. To inform you very well the website has crashed and people who invested their money, all are lost. Let everyone be careful for investment.

1238  Other / Politics & Society / Politicians can't be trusted. on: May 05, 2023, 03:33:16 PM
One day I followed my uncle is a politician to meeting, they could not allowed us to seat exactly where meeting was taking place, because other politician came with their drivers, what I'm telling you is life story, when the meeting started we were hearing different contributions from different person, because it's during election period, after the meeting food and other times was saved to aid's who came with them,
But one stronger politician drive could not accept it found and I became furious because of he rejected the food, I did same thing when the reached to my turn, I rejected the food.

Other people who came with their boss eat the food, do you know that since that day we that came with different politicians have not meet with each other and personally myself don't go a political meeting with my uncle everytime and that day was my first time going out for political meeting with him, suddenly I went to shopping I meet with the strong politician drive, i could not recognize him, i never knew he was looking at me until he called me, from the process of greeting he passed information to me that do I know that those guys that eat the food all have died, I asked him if what caused the death is the food or any other thing, he said that it's because of the food that his boss sacked him because of he rejected the food, i asked him again how of those drivers is alive, he said none is living today, I was shocked, I began to think for something that has for some months ago, is it how have die for something I don't know.

I not asked my uncle and since that day am still in cooperation with my uncle.

Politicians can not be trusted, i don't if the guy I meet who give me information is saying reality or it's information he is using to blackmail me or not, what's your take in this information, do we need to trust politicians.
1239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin Ordinals endlessly spam the Bitcoin mempool to the brim, what next? on: May 05, 2023, 09:25:42 AM
how things have changed
Yeah. That's what happens when bitcoin is introduced to people as an "investment" instead of a currency. We get newcomers who don't really want to use bitcoin but instead they want to become rich (in fiat).
That's means those newcomers have another strategic point they are after, or they are ignorant of Bitcoin, it's only when someone is focused,it will have it's means of getting rich without following everyone's root, but a situation that no plans is been made the person will end up of arriving with nothing, a newcomers should have primary and secondary plans, because theirs no one anticipating to arrive to something or somewhere without a qualified plan, to be rich is something that deal's with calculation.
1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gas station payment with bitcoin. on: May 05, 2023, 08:38:31 AM
Is your government pretty lenient with using cryptocurrency as a mode of payment? They cannot deduct it or something automatically or is there a different payment processor that does it automatically with you? Isn't it a hassle to do? I'm genuinely curious about your experience, OP.
I think government will involved interms of business that the op is building. If not, there might some risk that OP encounter since cryptocrrencies are not backed by government or financial instutions, and transactions are irreversible once they are processed. This can make them a target of fraud and hacking attemps, which can lead to the loss of the OP's funds. also Bitcoin transactions often involve transaction fees, which can add to the cost of the buyer's gas purchase. Fees can vary depending on the network congestion and the size of transaction.
I have my strategies, do you know that you can only give hackers access to involve in your business, for you to have done this, you know that theirs another alternative source someone to bridge evil source of bringing your business down, the transaction of buyer will be confirmed before leaving, because the rules that guides the payment with Bitcoin and fiat transfer is there, we operate with regulations that is authentic and no one fails the rules.
