I was reading about some cases of people who had many BTC at a time when it has low or no value at all, and didn't care about it, so they eventually lost their security phrases, or hard wallets and now it is lost probably forever.

I've read that the amount that is considered lost can be up to 5 million BTC. That is about 1/4 of the total amount available.

Knowing that BTC has a limit, and we're getting there soon, isn't it possible to have some compensation for those lost BTC?

Something like adding more BTC in an equivalent amount for those lost BTC, or something similar.

Would it be positive for the currency or could bring some caos?

What could cause a gambler to place a bet to the extent that he no longer has money to pay for the games he played?


This story happened in my presence on Friday, when I visited a physical betting shop to book some games after that my battery ran down in the process of trying to place some bets with my smartphone to bet on a game that will kick-start in some minutes. There I was, there was this gentleman who was there before me playing the visual game and to cut the whole story short at the end, the gambler started having issues with the person who placed the games for him, reason being that after playing the visual game the gambler no longer has the money to pay the person, and he optioned to dropping his smartphone until when he brings the money and the money amounts to about $15+ and this lead to the owner of the shop inviting the police to settle the matter.

So the question now is: What could really put a gambler in such a situation, addiction, or greediness?

Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?

I believe greediness lead to addiction. Greed is tge poison, while addiction is the intoxication. Someone who takes several dosages of poison will inevitably get intoxicated at some point, and that is when they start doing crazy things like borrowing money to gamble, stealing from others to gamble, lying to close people in order to have access to money to gamble, and to act like the man from the example you mentioned did.

I'm not really know about premium VPN, do they give a feature to connect into a specific area? let's say a free VPN won't give you a choice to pick which country, they will select it random. When you have subscribe them, you can choose any country you wants, do they also give the specific area of a city you want to connect?

Using VPN seems to be risky, especially you've publicize if you will use VPN in this forum, so they will know it lol.

I often run out of funds due to gambling that is too blind in terms of placing $$ on every bet I make and ends up losing. I do multi-bets and single-bets, every time I win, sometimes I forget myself and use all my $$ on the next bet. This sometimes gives me big wins, but if I'm unlucky I can lose all my funds and this has happened many times.

You don't know what I am experiencing right now and what may happen to me by tomorrow or after a decade and that's why I've said I don't know if I'll still be around by that time.

I've got a position that I can decide to hold even more than a decade but it is that I don't know what tomorrow may bring to me and this is outside bitcoin and the market. I may not be a bitcoin maxi because I hold some alts but it has the biggest portion of my holdings and my heart. <3

It is not ideal to gamble when the mind is not functioning in the perfect condition, taken hard drugs doesn't advance our mindset to perform better than how it should have, so it is of no valid reason to give a positive outcome while gambling.
The case of waking up from sleep then gambling may not be something bad to do since during the sleeping hours our mind and brain has been calm enough and would perform very efficiently when we wake up, we know sleep is good for the brain and body system.

It all depends on the individual whether they choose to impose restrictions on themselves or not. There are no restrictions on any particular group or class, as it ultimately comes down to personal choice and whether one decides to take a risk or not.

Although real estate assets can still be said to be a good investment, when compared to Bitcoin, these assets are still very far from producing good profits.

I see the future of gambling to be very interesting, especially when gamblers can meet their friends online like what meta proposed. They will meet online but it will look real like they are in reality. One of the reasons we say land based gambling is more entertaining is because of the social interaction. But virtual reality can make social interactions possible just like it was proposed by meta by meeting yours friends online, play and gamble together on a gambling site without even seeing each other physically.

This is the fun in gambling, when you use the amount of money that you can afford to lose to bet, you will be surprised that you will win at the right time when it is your lucky day. I can see the excitement in your from your post. Gambling is cool, when you gamble and don't expect any wins, but your bet turns out to be a win.

Nobody is smart in gambling, if not we will have a lot of gamblers making money through gambling, and this is why people that thinks that gambling is all about smartness or their skills, will continue chasing their losses, thinking that they made a mistake on their last game, which is not true.

We don't really need to check the stats of people who gamble, that's just dumb. Just set a specific amount you CAN spend (and will) spend for each session, each amount should adjust depending on the number of times you gamble say per week or per month. And no, gathering the same amount of money isn't exactly possible since it's money you decided to dedicate for your enjoyment/entertainment. There's a different part of your income that should go directly to money that will be used for investing. Those kinds of financing would make your life a whole lot easier and at the same time stress free (just don't forget to add enjoyment, spend a little for yourself).

People say that they don't know what is the btc and there is no clear story for them to trust btc.
But the same people don't know what is the money and how it's created and they are collateral or some type of security body by themselfes.
