i really hope that the devs think about an airdrop for the community. it would make rise this projects awareness in the communtiy even more Smiley

c'mon organize an airdrop asap Smiley

airdrops are not always good if you only get people interested in the token itself and not investing.

He is just begging for some coins to dump. am sure no one is paying him any attention

Interesting project, you also have an German Whitepaper already? At 15 October is this a PRE ITO or the "normal" ITO?

I guess you are trying to say ICO instead of ITO.
btw what's an ITO?

Because they are selling tokens its an ITO
But a lot of people also use ICO instead of ITO. Its almost the same Wink

I like ITO when its about tokens and ICO when its about coins Smiley

Am not sure most ppl can differentiate. You see a lot of companies offering ETH token, calling it ICO

I like the new approach we're starting to see too, though. Presales used to give smaller investors the chance to get in. Either by proportionally dividing everyone's max buy-in (ZRX, Gimli, Kyber) or by capping the buyin of registered users (ICON)
From what I've seen, Real pre-sale included, is that the pre-sales have nothing to offer for the small investor. They are geared towards the big fish and used to draw the attention of the rest of the investor pool. Real had a huge minimum buy-in for the pre sale. I like the idea of smaller investors being included in the pre sales but the former is much more useful for the business.

I like the idea of big investors during the pre-sale. Huge amounts are better to start this project!
If the pre-sale goes well with big investors that means its a solid project so there will be a very good ICO.

I don't think offering multiple incentives to whales during pre-sales is ideal. A lot of this whales just pump and dump ICO projects cos they can get major bonus from investing early. they usually have little interest in what the companies are offering. Anyway, I know that's not the case with real, due to the nature of what they INTEND TO DO. This is more of a long term investment, and the passive income it provides will pique several interest.

I really love how japan is fully embracing blockchain tech. Anyway, iflyer partnership might aid to motivate investors who were unsure about buying in.
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 12, 2017, 10:11:52 PM

There's plenty of trashing places going on in airbnb...

Will relest help solve any problems between landlords and tenants? Are there any extra layers of protection for either party?

That's actually a good point. I don't think I've seen anything about this in the whitepaper. I'm guessing the customers would pay an insurance fee ahead of time, which would be returned to them after the stay. Or both the landlord and the customer have a rating system a la Uber.

Not sure how it is in other countries but in Germany you have quite often that you need to hand in documents like a confidential information on a person's credit rating and a salery statement and/or your working contract. Maybe you also have to hand in such documents? Would also help to prevent from false bidding and fake acoounts maybe.

Am sure you will have to place a deposit before renting the place. The deposit will be forfeited if you trash the place.

I have taken notes from reading the forums posts and updated the question list for my talk with Nick in 2 days time. I will really harp hard on the constantly changing WP, revenue streams, profit share etc.

Its really great to see such an active community for PayPie. It is really going to be a game change. Think of how Quicken changed the accounting industry --- PPP will do the same!

Please post a link to view the interview when you done. Will be nice to finally get some answers to some of this pertaining questions
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀 [ANN][ICO] PAYPIE 🌟🌟🚀 World’s First Blockchain Accounting Platform on: September 12, 2017, 06:07:04 PM
Here is a non-exaustive list of the disadvantages of having an accountant

He will not let you do anything.
It has a cost since you have to pay a fee.
It requires you to respect your statutory deadlines for VAT returns.
It requires you to keep track of filing procedures that are sometimes somewhat restrictive.

Managing your own business accounting is real pain in the a@% Its good that we will be able to use company from crypto world

Paypie doesn't automatically eliminate the pain in the ass involved in accounting your liquidities, liabilities and loss. It's basically an accounting platform on the block-chain. So the advantage it offers is the transparent info but you still have to input those info into the ledger. it's doesn't automatically do your job for you. Just saying.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀 [ANN][ICO] PAYPIE 🌟🌟🚀 World’s First Blockchain Accounting Platform on: September 12, 2017, 05:47:07 PM
Again this is just a guess on my part but as i aforementioned, due to SEC rules, the piecoin might have been conceived as an alternative to incentive Paypie customers/Paypie coin holders. Piecoin might be distributed as a form of dividend (note that i use the word a form to denote that its not an actual dividend) and the distribution could be exchanged on Paypie's platform for fiat. Since it's not the main coin associated with the project and only has internal use, i.e.( Paypie won't provide an exchange for it) this deflects any issue that the SEC rules might pose.

As for pegging to multiple currencies, am guessing they will peg it to the currency that's currently worth the most, and use exchange rates from that currency to pay out on other currencies. Again, am just guessing and none of this should be considered viable till statement is obtained from an admin

I think I have figured it out. But still guessing. I think you actually have it backwards. PPP tokens are the investment vehicle and PieCoin are stable stores of debit/credit value.

Assuming PPP are the PayPie tokens that are traded on the exchanges. PPP will be converted to PieCoin (PIE) for internal transactions in the PayPie market.

PIE are pegged to a several major currencies at the same time: a currency basket. For the sake of argument, assume the currency basket is 1 PIE = $1.

You owe someone $300. Which means you are 300 PIE short.

PIE can only be exchanged through PPP tokens.

PPP tokens fluctuate, but according to the whitepaper the price per token starts at 1 PPP = 0.0011 ETH.

If the price of $300 = 1 ETH you need to buy 1/0.0011 = 909 PPP.

If PPP doubles in value, you need to buy 454 PPP instead. Your debt, in terms of currency basket value, has remained the same amount, ie. 300 PIE = $300.

If you were indebted 300 PPP instead of PIE, after PPP doubled in value you would owe $600.

Nice catch, and they can achieve that with PIE because it's only an internal token and it won't be put on exchanges. It's the only way to keep a token stable at the moment, there's this token, Corion in which devs claim that price will be always $1, isn't on exchanges yet but it will be on day, I'm going to grab a popcorn basket when their reserve to buy COR will finish (because at some point it will finish)

Are we talking about PIECoin, as in https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/piecoin/ ? I am really confused now  Huh

No we not talking about the shit coin on the exchanges called pie coin, rather we referring to an internal coin utilized on the paypie platform thats also named piecoin.
Anyway, rigorous your explanation makes a lot of sense, hopefully a paypie admin can confirm if it's on the right track cos investors will deem such info vital.

After re-reading the whitepaper again and again I think I got it completely wrong.

The actual money owed on the invoice is not paid with PIE but through traditional ways, ie. bank transfers, VISA, whatever. I was misled by statements such as

all transactions will flow through blockchain and validity of all transactions including sent invoices can be verified

Lender confirms, signs and funds get transferred to the company and published on blockchain

But it's not realistic to transfer money owed through PIE, as the PIE balance sheet would quickly eclipse the value of PPP and PayPie itself. Small-medium companies have balance sheets of up to $100 Million.

The only things transferred through the PayPie network are documents such as invoices, and those invoices are put on a marketplace where the right to see or pay them may be bought using PIE. PayPie charges a fee on each marketplace transaction.

You might actually be right, cos like i aforementioned maybe the payment might be allocated as pie, and the pie coin can be exchange for fiat at and only on Paypie platform.

We still need a verification to this.
1229  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 12, 2017, 05:37:18 PM
Auctions are effective, easy and fun marketing tools that are rapidly growing in popularity as a means of selling real estate. No longer simply a way to dispose of property after a bankruptcy or foreclosure, auctions have become a legitimate way to sell real estate. And they work for all types of property, including residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and vacant land. In fact, auction sales of real estate have more than quadrupled since 1980 and are expected to account for 30% of all real estate sales by the year 2020.

The EventChain  has great potential. can be a great investment opportunity, and if they succeed, you can benefit from cheaper and more equitable airfares

What do you mean by airfares? For commercial airflight?

Am not sure what he or she is talking about. Probably posting on the wrong thread. airline would only come into play if EC was to somehow partner with an airline to offer discounted flights to a popular event like tomorrowland. I seriously doubt that it's part of their agenda for the moment.
1231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 12, 2017, 04:05:23 PM
Congratulations on the success of the pre-sale. I really feel like this project is THE RE based one to take part in this year, and will set the mold others will try to clone.

This is one of the few projects where the team actually invested in their company, 1/3 mil! This does says something that they are committed to their project. Congrat Real.

Wow, didn't know that. That's impressive. Unlike other projects who raise millions so they are set for life salary wise, even if the project itself fails.

I am not sure if that is a reliable indicator for success in this environment. If they can make up for their own investment though an ICO, you actually take weight from their shoulders. Not saying this is bad per se, but it can also be a strategic marketing move set up precisely for a successful ICO.

Yeah it takes money to make money, but that initial investment shows initiative cos technical they didn't have to do it to have a successful ICO, several other companies had success without it.

Which hardware do you need to test the platform?

Currently you can test the platform with oculus but they plan to expand to other hardwares

Can't wait till they start offering VIBEhub to mobile phones. Than simple VR cardboard glasses will suffice, opening up their product to millions of users.

That's like playing super mario on the gameboy versus playing it on nintendo 64. Actually, fuck that comparing a kinetoscope picture to a holographic projection.

Dude don't think because you dealing with Paypie means you can get away with erroneous information. If anything since info is transparent from been in a blockchain, it will he harder to get away with such things. also Paypie is not mean't to replace your accountant, rather it's mean't to be the new tool utilized by your accountant.
1234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 12, 2017, 03:24:32 PM
How will eventchain solve the problem of costs of running deliverers service which is required for dividing tickets inventory between offices and for returning unsold tickets to suppliers?

Cos artist and event organizer will create the ticket on Eventchain's platform, thereby diverting the aforementioned costs.

Some of the people, who posted before, talked about the ICO flood... Have you (the defs) watched the last ICOs? There had been some with great ideas, but it seems that it is too much. Too many ICOs for far too few Investors... I hope you have this on your mind. It would be a shame when another good Project like vibehub cant collect enough money...

All they can do is propose/present a working idea, and provide some marketing. Their is no magical format to ensure that investors get in on an ico. This platform has a lot of potential and is unique in this space, so it should do fairly well

I have two question,

first,  i want to rent a place in some street and there is two place is fitting my expectations on relest.

So they both were on 490$ and i make an offer of 500$ for both, to get one of them at least.

And nobody raised the offers anymore and i got two auctions and don't need one.

What will happen then?

Second, i make an offer for someplace, and after that there is a new auction which i like more, my offer is the highest but i don't want it anymore, i want the new one. Can i just withdraw my offer ?

If you cancel your bid, the owner's contacts will go to the next group of applicants ($490). If you don't do this - your rating will be decreased.

What are the consequences of a decreased rating for the tenant? Can a landlord ban a tenant with negativ reputation from his auctions?

When a certain rating is reached, its account is marked as untrusted. If an untrusted account wins at an auction, landlord's contacts are also shown to the next group of bidders (if there are no other tenants in this maximum rate).
Also, the rating affects the relationship between the tenant and the landlord.

It's not very intimidating isn't it?

What will prevent to low rating user to just open new account and continue giving fake bids?

I think you should put some better precautions for it.

And what will prevent a landlord from also artificially boosting the price of their place through fake accounts.
You can not prevent that, except of the standard routines like IP address checks, detecting spammy patterns or similar. Same problem like Ebay has. But in the worst case, the seller would be the highest bidder for his own property and would sit on the selling costs. Or do you have any idea how to handle that issue?

Likr the dev stated, all one has to do is decline on an offer, then it goes to the next individual in line. so the seller could easily decline on the offer and have it go to the next person probably at a price much higher than the place is worth. As for ip address, that can easily be manipulated
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 12, 2017, 01:59:59 PM
The website is in trouble? or its just me.

"503 Service Temporarily Unavailable"

When i tried to enter, i get the same error. After that it worked properly. Now i checked, still the same issue.

Something wrong with the hosting i guess.
It's working again for me. Maybe they got DDoS attacks.
Maybe they should protect their website with Cloud Flare. Works good for most of the crypto websites out there.

The issue with the website was just temporarily in the morning, lets hope there wont be any problems when the sale starts tomorrow.

That's why he was advising them to protect the website, maybe this was just a test run to see if they could disable it. Most of the main attack don't occur till the ico commences. am just guessing, but if there is even a little indication of doubt, they should cover all bases

Right now our beta is only available on Oculus but by November we will be compatible on all major hardware devices. We are open to exclusives if it's a good deal for us and our investors

I'm thoroughly impressed with the progress your team has made just in the few short weeks since I caught wind of this project. Too bad I won't have Oculus till after the ICO is long over.

Wait till you see what we are announcing tomorrow.

Hopefully you are partnering with a huge acts to holoport their concert
1239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 12, 2017, 01:46:12 PM
Identifying validation will be a possibility to limit the user's use of multiple accounts, and the label should not be too difficult to implement. The problem is, if people are going to use EventChain, if they have to register, such as a passport check or something.
On the other hand, it will be effective.

There will be necessary measures to limit users from abusing the service.
All major centralized players do it without the need of passports.

I am sure Eventchain already have plans about it.

I can remember some concerts handled by a major ticket business required you showed your ID at the entrance of the venue. Could be an Adele concert, notorious for the high resale prices. Could also have to do with terrorism threats though. Maybe both. Anyway, it's not unheard of.

Also if you want an alcoholic drink in a bar you need to show your ID to prove you're older than the permitted age.

Last but not least some countries require you to be able to show your ID when asked by law enforcement, in practice that means you need to carry your ID at all times.

At the Glastonbury Festival the tickets had a photo of the registered ticket holder on it. Unfortunately this form of identification is very costly so it can't be a solution for all events.

In this day and age, when almost everyone who will be using this platform, owns a cellphone, the cost might actually be negated. just have ppl snap a pic of their id and attach it with each purchase.
