1241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: March 08, 2018, 08:14:11 AM
Its too early to say that binance is going down. All crypto are on RED sale now and this is because many are selling out for the recent bitcoin price rally. This dump is expected to happen because bitcoin sits and touched the major resistance 11,500. We all know that if bitcoin is down most altcoin is going down too.

Agree
I think binance are fine with the issue where their Account API got phished because of people fallen into the scammer's trap
Furthermore, i think no funds were lost as everything were secure by Binance

Damn on the drop and dump lol, the price recently is so damn unstable which the price keep swing within the resistance and support
1242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product important for a project? on: March 08, 2018, 07:12:07 AM
Guys, how do you think, is a ready-made product important for ICO project?

In my opinion, it is, because it can show investors that the team is ready to bring huge results and has future plans.

As an example - KickCity, event platform where each user is rewarded for event promotion. You can try it today. More information you can find here  https://medium.com/@kickcity_io/kickcity-public-beta-5aa66fafc5c7

I agree with this point
Its really important to have a product for a project, or we can say that a product/platform is totally important for a project.

Why?
In order to follow up or checking the progressions, aside from partnership, marketing, everything is just empty talk/plain announcement

He can say that he partnered up with XYZ, i can say that i spent X amount on marketing
But Platform/Product don't lie, in order to code a product/platform, everyone would know what happen and the progress of it

Hence, Product is crucial for a project especially in the crypto field
1243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Watch out for scammers on: March 08, 2018, 06:00:46 AM
hi folks I want to warn all the participants in the airdrops There are a bunch of scammers They steal the privet key of myetherwallet i dont know how they do that but i think by sending you an email and when you check the email and click on it they can access to all the file in your pc and steal the key i dont know how that works i'm not an expert so don't put any of the private key in the computer or in your phones .

Exactly the main problem of Airdrops now
IMO, tons of Airdrops now are actually sketchy and scammy.

They would mostly first ask for Public address
Then tells you to login to claim your tokens and etc.
Then people end up going to the fake site

My suggestion here is to install MetaCert - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cryptonite-by-metacert/keghdcpemohlojlglbiegihkljkgnige?hl=en
If you are not a person that are cautious and protective, this might be a good tool to protect you Smiley

1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: new holder of panic on: March 08, 2018, 05:57:47 AM
earlier this year I tried to hold some coins and tokens but saw the market and the exchange getting downhill, what is the best move to sell it or hold it?

Since you already hold for such a long term (In crypto months is consider long), its better to continue hodl

Or a better way, but you might need some knowledge here - Sell and Dip lower
Personally, this is always a very good way to make your portfolio bigger in terms of value and size
However, you would need to know when to sell and buy back

I made mistakes selling at the lowest point and fail to buy back at point which eventually lead me to lose more value, so i hodl onto most of the coins
1245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What cryptos under 2 cent have potentials in the next 12-18 months??? on: March 07, 2018, 01:06:27 PM
As for me I will go with indicoin and Pakcoin. This two project are awesome to me and they are currently trading below 2 cent and I believe they capable of doing well withing the next 12-18 months. So what's your own opinion?Huh Wink

Hmmm
Price of Coins doesn't actually matter much when it comes to supply

However, for your question, i would go for (Might not be 2 cent, but less than $0.1)
Datum $0.04
CoindashToken $0.05
District0x $0.08

These are all good tokens that i believe could do well in the long run
Social Profile Marketplace
Copy Trading Platform
Decentralized Marketplace and Communities
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it the Best Time to Sell Ether on: March 07, 2018, 08:43:18 AM
Hi,

I had purchased around $50 worth Etherium few months back. Now the Etherium price is very high.
I could make a profit of around $15... Is this the best time to sell.

Will long term investment be fruitful ?

Well if you have sold off on December of 2017, congratz because you were selling at the peak
If you still holding, my suggestion is to keep hodl since u already been holding for such a long period

The price is almost 1/2 of the peak now (Close to)
It is always up to you to decide if you think the price is okay to sell
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 15 MARCH ! BTC will be affected or not ? on: March 06, 2018, 03:34:25 PM
Here the news
https://coincodex.com/article/1352/china-allegedly-plans-further-crackdown-on-cryptocurrencies/

i am not here to spread the FUD . just a question: do you think we go again the 5 February situation ?? Undecided

Hmmm imo, it is always big nations that would cause the price to have major effect.
Regardless if they break down or not, it would mostly affect a little in the best case

Worst come to worst, it might just drop back below the previous support level and we will see
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kucoin on: March 06, 2018, 03:32:19 PM
Is Kucoin down for anyone else?

Might be having maintenance just now or DNS issue?
At least its up for now

If you do use kucoin, you might be as well use Binance/Okex, i believe they are better exchange than kucoin. Not saying that Kucoin is bad, but for me Kucoin is just something that is like a Binance v2.0
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Spéculation on NCASH +500% ? on: March 05, 2018, 09:39:16 AM
Hey guys !

I'm a huge believer of NCASH so i could be biased... but on my opinion it's the right time to jump in.

The price is very low, it just needs more volume.
I already did +60% in one day and it's now down around the same price as I first bought.
As the price is very low (0.03$), the coin only needs more recognition to moon.

I expect at least +500% over the next few month; 1.5$ is a realistic price.
Some people say it ca be +1000% until the end of the year but it might just be too much on my opinion, I will stay with 1.5$

What do you guys think ?

The supply is freaking alot, but the video impress me alot
I mean of course it look kinda futuristic, but that is possible. Its not something way too overpower/over hard to produce

But $1.5 might be huge for next few month because it takes time to test on AI and neuro network
1250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: INVESTMENT IDEAS on: March 05, 2018, 09:21:59 AM
1000$ TO INVEST, WHERE SHOULD I PUT IT?

As comment by poster #2, always research and learn about what is blockchain before you invest
Everyone knows that crypto isn't just about up and down, the blockchain itself is something powerful however i think most people have no idea what they are doing

My suggestion for you is always, research before you invest

Few coins that are advisable to invest from me
Get Protocol
Kyber Network Crystal Token
Ripto Credit Network
Zilliqa
1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Best site for Crypto CFD? on: March 05, 2018, 09:19:47 AM
Reviews and more information on different CFD brokers here: https://www.cryptoderivativetrading.com/cryptocurrency-brokers/

Alright thanks for that
I am trying to find the best CFD brokers for crypto available, IMO, crypto CFD is purely good profits if you know what you are doing tho
However, of course it is more complex xd
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can you say about bountyhive? on: March 04, 2018, 04:42:00 PM
Waoh didnt know this platform before this

I only used the bounty section in the forum and also Bounty0x
Never know that we have these bountyhive

So, its a new platform to connect bounty participants and bounty manager?
Or it exist for long time?
1253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves will kill Ethereum? on: March 04, 2018, 04:40:06 PM
Waves  features:

---Fast  transactions

---- no touring complete  smart contracts (safer than a  touring  complete  smart contract)

----- DEX  ( not  a  goode  interface tought)

----  tokens creation

-----   Ico  creation

WIill   waves   have  the  same  boom  that  ethereum had   last  year (2016) or not?

Will it kill Ethereum?

IT would not kill Ethereum IMO
Blockchain are built to scale better but not replacing imo

I mean the way they code is different, the infrastructure might be in the same scenario but would not classified as direct competitor because it is up to people to decide which blockchain platform they prefer

However, Waves are really undervalue IMO, waves shall worth more
1254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Earnings on: March 04, 2018, 04:30:52 PM
Hi guys.

Out of curiosity, what are you earning with bounty campaigns?
I think I'm somewhere near 1K USD/month, but I guess there have to be people here who are earning lots more.

Kind regards

EDIT:

As many people do not believe these profits, I will explain how I make them.

I focus on the translation campaigns (dutch). A translation pays +- 3 ETH on average. I have only started (only 1 translation has been paid, I received +-2 ETH), but as I can make up to 3 translations/month (currently working on 2 more), this would get me 9 ETH/month.  As not every project is succesful, let's say I will receive 4,5 ETH/month.

Do not focus on signature campaigns or social media campaigns, these are the crumbs (especially for members with lower ranks) while translation campaigns are probably the bread.

I use the Bountyhive platform to manage my bounty participations, this platform makes it possible to be enrolled in 10 campaigns at the same time, without having to report.

Waoh, i never actually did any of the translation campaign, but the paid are awesomely good and fine i believe like what you said
I personally seen translation campaign paid off more than 4-5 Digit per translation after the token skyrocket

I only do social media bounty, signature and also blog
My profits are around $1-2k/month?
I seldom do blog now tho, but blog did generate me great profit in the past yera
1255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PROOF that XSPEC is a SCAM on: March 04, 2018, 04:28:54 PM
So we've all been seeing a lot of hype around XSPEC on this forum, some members claiming it's a scam, others calling for proof, I've put this together to give my take as a senior software developer on what I feel proves it.

First off, a member on here under the name gunner833 found some interesting points about the xspec developer, you can view these findings here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2839833.0

2 key points from this thread, the developer is in his 20s yet has claimed to have 20+ years experience, the developer also owned a bar for 2 years which wen't bankrupt, leaving him with $90,000 in tax debt... you can read his thread for more details, you can also see the shills claiming this isn't a big deal or just a small white lie, make your own mind up on this.

Now putting that aside, let's look at what xspec actually is:
It's a complete mirror copy of Shadow Cash and the Umbra wallet, they've changed some colours and the logo/name from the Umbra source code, picture below gives an idea

Shadow Cash is a dead project, initially XSPEC made no claims of their coin being a fork of this project, they've been called out for this and admit it is, but claim they're making improvements to ring signatures and have added obfs4 to the project.

Doing a bit more digging, I wanted to see what these improvement claims were and also wanted to see how they've implemented obfs4 to their coin, I was very shocked with what I found, even for what I consider a scam project they've done such little work it blows my mind.

Now remember, XSPEC is open source and their project is on github, you can view the full commit history of the project which also proves they only have 1 developer for any one questioning this, here is what I found by going through their code commits:

1. The "ehancements" made to ring signatures:
Here is a code snippet of the only changes in their source code relating to ring signatures, here is the original code from Shadow Cash

Quote
if (!wallet->AddAnonInputs(RING_SIG_2,

This bit of code uses a ring size of 2 in shadow cash, now let's look at the "enhancements" made by Spectrecoin

Quote
if (!wallet->AddAnonInputs(nRingSize == 1 ? RING_SIG_1 : RING_SIG_2,

So what we have here for those who can't read code, "if value of nRingSize is equal to 1 then use a ring size of 1 other wise use a ring size of 2"
So what has changed? pretty well nothing, they've allowed for a ring size of 1 which is a bad move, a ring size of 2 is stronger than a ring size of 1, Monero has a minimal ring size of 5 I believe.

Here is another code change commit by XSPEC, they've changed this from Shadow Cash

Quote
tr("Confirm send coins"), tr("Are you sure you want to send?\nRing size of one is not anonymous, and harms the network.").arg(formatted.join(tr(" and "))), QMessageBox::Yes|QMessageBox::Cancel, QMessageBox::Cancel);

To this

Quote
tr("Confirm send coins"), tr("Are you sure you want to send?\nRing size of one is not anonymous.").arg(formatted.join(tr(" and "))), QMessageBox::Yes|QMessageBox::Cancel, QMessageBox::Cancel);

They've removed this message from the warning alert "and harms the network"

So the so called enhancements to ring signatures are anything but, and to me it looks more like an absolute nothing change just for the sake of saying "I've changed it", he's made the anonymity weaker by reducing the ring size, perhaps he views transaction speed marketing as something more important than anonymity on a stealth coin, a smaller ring size = less secure but faster, larger = more secure but slower, this change could of been performed by a very junior developer in a few minutes, yet this downgrade is being pushed as one of the big changes

2. obfs4 implementation:
This is the second biggest point around XSPEC, they've implemented obfs4 which Shadow Cash did not have, you can find open source code online for obfs4 implementation so I wen't digging through the XSPEC code expecting to find this, what I found blew my mind, here is the code snippet which shows you the obfs4 implementation in XSPEC

Quote
  if (stat("obfs4proxy.exe", &sb) == 0 && sb.st_mode & S_IXUSR) {
      clientTransportPlugin = "obfs4 exec obfs4proxy.exe";
    }
#else
    if ((stat("obfs4proxy", &sb) == 0 && sb.st_mode & S_IXUSR) || !std::system("which obfs4proxy")) {
      clientTransportPlugin = "obfs4 exec obfs4proxy";

To sum up what this small block of code does, it executes the obfs4proxy.exe process, there is absolutely no code in XSPEC for the obfs4 other than executing an exe file, now let's take a look where this .exe file came from

Quote
\Tor Browser\Browser\Tor\Pluggable Transports\obfs4proxy.exe

So if you install TOR on your computer, you'll find the obfs4proxy.exe file in the TOR Pluggable Transports folder, so this great obfs4 implentation by XSPEC is nothing more than taking an executable file from TOR which runs along with the wallet, just like it does the TOR browser

That alone is enough to prove to me this is a very very shady project, so I've dug through pretty well all of their commits to see if they've actually done any work over the last year, extremely surprised no one has brought this up yet, but their changes are as follow:

1. Changing wallet colour, version numbers, the name and logo
2. Upgrading to newer versions of libraries
3. Executing the TOR obfs4 executable
4. Allowing for an insecure ring size of 1

All up the above changes are less than a days work for even a mid level developer, the interesting part of going through their commits is there are actually examples of nothing commits, cutting code, moving it up a few lines and recommitting just to increment the number of changes shown on GitHub.

The biggest body of work they've done is their donation platform and website.. very shady if you've got time to setup a donation platform but do no work on the actual coin.

Also the developer has made claims of big things coming in Feb, here we are in March and we see no changes on Github, no new version, no changes, just the prior things I've listed above.

The other concerning thing is the poor spread on this coin, you can view it's richlist and see the top 10 hold over 30% of XSPEC and the top 20 hold over 40%.

We will see shills in here trying to pick at the most minor detail of this post, but let me just start off by asking for some one to explain the above code findings? If you've come here to defend this coin then realise the code findings are what this thread is mostly about, so I want to see some points around that rather than the typical garbage from the XSPEC shills.

Waoh you did a numerous and awesome research there
To be honest, i am once a fan and a believer in Spectrecoin, as the community is not toxic, devs is very active in the slack

However i sold it after that because i need cash urgently and hence, i never follow on the project anymore
The last update i knew were the obs4 thinggy.
I am not a technical people hence i don't know how to read code but their wallet is good when the time i use as it can stake, where staking is the only function i use

For the distribution, i think the ICO distribution is abit skewed but because minor people invest in it, that causes most of the XPSEC is HODL by few person
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: March 04, 2018, 04:24:47 PM
I just was brought up to speed on groups of people sending in fake/Photoshopped ID's by scanning public records to defeat the KYC process and it seemingly is very easy to do.  It appears that many people sent in fake documentation to the Bob's and Polymath KYC and had no hassles.  How do these companies verify people if all they have to go on is public information?  Did they even really check the ID's or were they simply collected the data?  How rampant do you think this is?  How many of us are complete fools for turning in our documents when others simply faked it.  Now they have our data and the people who faked it are still secure.

NOT FAIR.

KYC is having some real legit and legal problem there
Fake KYC, theft identity expose/stealing and etc

IIRC, there's coin that are focusing on KYC solution where one KYC documents upload, and we can just use that set of data to verify ourself and also protect our data with blockchain
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Cash (LCC) Up 289% in 24 hours why? on: March 04, 2018, 04:32:03 AM
Litecoin Cash (LCC) $3.73 USD (289.09%)

Up 289% in 24 hours why?

#litecoin #LitecoinCash #bitcoin #cryptotrading

Why?

Volume is not much meaning the  buying/selling order is thin, so a medium amount of money poured in can actually make it pump easily
Most people follow whats happening instead of doing their own research
Hence, this results even unknown crypto pumps easily
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheap VPS for hosting Masternodes? on: March 02, 2018, 06:49:14 AM

1259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NANO formerly known as RaiBlocks (XRB) is going to be a top 10 coin on: March 01, 2018, 04:32:02 PM
Well predicted!

Raiblocks was like 80 satoshi? When i first see trading OTC in bitcointalk
It has a unique way of getting coins, by solving captcha. Interesting way because instead of POS/POW, its consider as POW i believe but human work?

Great insights  there!
1260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to make money from staking? on: March 01, 2018, 12:09:55 PM
Staking comes in different form
Proof of staking is by far the easiest method to generate passive income, compare to trading, hosting masternodes and etc

Find a coin that is having 10% < Per annum shall be good
I would avoid coins that has more than 50% - 200% P.A because that would results coins to have oversupply than demand

Basically you just buy the coins, transfer to your wallet, and run the client. That's it
