Please check bid increment and correct if you would like, I don't believe it's valid.  Wink

Why not add a sweet floating frame or two to your order....  PM if interested.

Those are really cool MJ, I don't have a frame myself and will have to pick one up.

Agreed with nubbins, we shouldn't be placing bids unofficially without the owners consent.  Wink

I'll be looking forward to an auction if it takes place.

The keys are case sensitive and care should be taken when writing down the key before redemption.

Like others have stated, you would get more for it intact and could post a link to a picture here for a free assessment.  Smiley
1254  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Looking for advice on where to sell a Casascius 0.1 BTC funded coin. on: June 09, 2017, 10:04:36 PM
Good Morning,

I am new here and I am just looking for some advice on how to go about selling a Casascius coin. I have a 0.1 BTC funded .999 silver coin from Mike Caldwell. Any help would be great in being able to sell it. Let me know if you have have any advice or interest. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!

Are you aiming for more BTC or fiat/paypal?  If you're looking for BTC you've found the right place and if you're not familiar with escrow I believe some individuals here can point you in the right direction for information.
1255  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1BTC Casascius bitcoin sells for $7100 on: June 09, 2017, 09:58:12 PM
I think ebay gets 10 percent of the sale price.  Undecided

I believe it's capped at a certain amount and I haven't sold items worth enough to find out.  BearKing55 can give a definitive answer there.   Wink
1256  Other / Meta / Re: Where is Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcointalk Profile? on: June 09, 2017, 07:36:50 PM
I don't think that he had a profile on this forum. I don't say it's impossibe just doesn't seem to me very likely that person like Satoshi, the visionaires and inovators would  be writing and spending time on forums.
Yes he did. The last time he logged in was on 2010 but here is his profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3

His account is also probably blocked for any attempt of login to avoid the account being hacked, so the real Satoshi would need to proof it's really him to some admin before having his account back.

Pretty epic, in the first 10 userid's on the forum.  Are the missing profiles near that number range (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=2) ones that were purged from the system?

Gotcha, I also thought there was more than one pair available and they were new.  Still a good deal if authentic but I will have to pass as I was looking for originals that would be given as a gift in the original packaging.

Planning on putting my hologram on soon here. Any tips for putting it on straight

Putting it on straight will require skill and patience but a few tips that have made that easier for me are below.  These tips were used while creating my coin above:

 - Use a line of masking tape to pick up the hologram off the wax backing and place it on the coin starting at the furthest point from the masking tape.

 - Dust free environment helps from trapping stuff under the sticker during the assembly process and gently roll any "bubbles" out after placement.

 - After full hologram placement remove the masking tape carefully or else you could cause a "VOID" mark where the masking tape was removed.

 - Don't press down too hard on the center when sealing the hologram / rolling out any "bubbles" or the private key depression will show through the hologram.

Hopefully that helps and I'd recommend practicing on DIY coins if possible.  Smiley

oh boy this did not turn out very well. good thing i bought two. i think ill look for professional help in the future when i try again.

i give great respect to the people that put tens of hundreds of holograms on coins

Sounds like you got some practice and that's the first step!  Maybe I'll whip up a video in the near future if you think that could help.  Wink
