1241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 12, 2017, 01:23:43 PM
Just received a Slack notification - ICO is open and there is a special bonus if you use ETH to buy REAL tokens.
It is possible more in detail? link please, be more careful it can be scammers!

If it was the same notification I got, they rebuild the official website and put their ETH-Address on it. So before sending your money to somewhere always double check that the website-address is spelled correctly and that your are on the official website  http://www.real.markets !

there is/was a scam on www.rea*.markets (*= i instead of an L). be aware.

We should be careful posting those scam links, better safe than sorry.

At least if it was posted as a scam, it's better than someone unknowingly clicking on it on another site and getting scammed. If it is posted with a scam notification and someone clicks/invest on it without reading the post, they have no one but themselves to blame.

I dont trust that presale message. Is no one from the team around and monitors this thread?

Wapinter needs to be notified, so he can delete that, before some hapless chap falls a victim to it.

Has anybody seen this?

**Official Announcement From The PayPie Team**

The PayPie BitcoinTalk Pre-Sale is NOW OPEN!
What a bad way to announce it. There is no info in website and not a single post to official thread with near 60 page in it.

Didn't get the cause of new thread. Maybe it's fake?

If it's fake team should report it.

This was posted yesterday and nobody responded yet. That is truly suspicious and smells like a scam attempt. I wouldnt go near that ETH address. Plus it was posted from a new account.

Yeah I don't think that's real, why will they offer a pre sale only to BTCtalk users. makes no sense.
1246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 11, 2017, 06:29:59 PM
Another real estate project. It looks solid anyway. The funniest part is releasing the token to the exchanges so early. That might affect the development but is a clever move in order to attract crypto investors, used to fast pacing operations.

definitely a good move to get the token asap to the exchanges.

buy low now when the ico starts and sell high when it hits the exchange, but there is a possibility that the token will rise at first and fall hard, if the project is not supported by the people.

neverthless, looks solid so far, that i dont think, that this will be a dump story.

Yeah those are list of exchanges they promise but delivering on those promises is another thing. It depends on the exchange to add in coins.
We listed only those exchanges from which we received a positive response

Those exchanges are easy to get in if you have the capital and your coin is backed by a good project, so is normal, BUT, the others, like bitrex, poloniex and bitfinex, are way more difficult to get in, but to start they will do nicely, the exchanges posted I men, anyway, I hope they are prepared for a big dumped if they plan to get the coin in exchanges before the product is online, is the team's decision after all.
Getting listed on exchanges should never be a major goal. Just let that guys focus on their project and build a functionend and well tested product with innovative features and solutions and the rest will happen by itself.

I think it's the team members that are making the hasty decision to list the coins. Personally, I think they should wait. Release a working app, before heading to the market. They might have to deal with few angry investors but those are not the ones they should worry about, cos they not in it for the long run.
1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 11, 2017, 06:16:38 PM
You need to get hell lot of investment to buy properties worldwide.
Not sure how you gonna pull it out.
100.000 eth = 30.000.000 $ is not enough to buy some property worldwide???
30m funding capital should be enough for setting up a business and getting some real estate everywhere Smiley to rise awareness to some big fishes out there, who could contribute even more money into REAL Smiley
I agree with 30 million USD you could buy some real investments in even the most expensive cities.
Its a lot of money, but they are planning to invest in more luxurious properties and if they want to start with few of them, they should invest really smart or the money will be gone fast.

The people behind the project are professionals, they know what they can do with the money there are trying to get, so 30 million is enough to buy some good real states in differents parts of the world, AND lets not forget that they are already a company inside the industry, they are just transitioning to a blockchain community driven model, which will serve well for them to grow and for us to invest and get profits, so a win win for all.
Yes brother, they have this one in the bag already! They operate out of two location's, one being in spain, another within Singapore. That's two locations to choose properties from. Europe, and Asia are sure to provide beautiful land for their purchase.

I think they just have the business registered in Singapore for tax break/ ease of acquiring certain license. am not sure if they plan to invest in Singapore yet. Am, I might be wrong and if so, someone should correct me.
1248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 11, 2017, 06:09:30 PM
That true but events like Tomorrowland are just to famous. If you really wont to go, people will pay...
This will be very hard to stop. People need to change, dont buy tickets with huge margins. If you missed it, try again next year Cheesy

People won't boycot events to make a stand against high ticket prices.

Some artists and even their organizers may be a little more idealistic than they are commercial. They want to keep the price low to keep it fair and accessible to the less affluent fans.

But as you say, some people want to experience the event no matter the price. The current ticket seller monopolies and scalpers are exploiting that gap between the sell price and buy price.

Maybe the only way to keep the price low is to stop reselling by requiring the attendee to be the same person as the ticket buyer.

But if they figured out a way to implement an identification verification process prior to placing a purchase like you aforementioned, it will hopefully restrict/curb the act.
1249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract - ARTEMINE ICO ON SEPTEMBER 14 on: September 11, 2017, 06:00:36 PM
View the depreciated value, as a chance to get in cheap. If your intention was just to buy MNE and dump right before the ICO, then this definitely is not the space for you. The tech been offered is not a proposal but rather a working product. Take a chill pill and give it some months to prove it's value
1250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs on: September 11, 2017, 03:29:34 PM
It's a shame about US citizens (and now Chinese citizens) not being to participate. Obviously, there's the option of using a VPN, but there's a still a huge number of untapped people who would otherwise be keen to invest in Vibehub.

Well it's not really about using VPN or not, it's about respecting the law or not.

If someone use a VPN, it's at his own risk (even if I think those are low)

Even if that law is the stupidest thing the US could do, China only stopped ICOs for now until they can have a resolution what to do with them, but in USA, they banned them all together, if they didn't like it (because they couldn't get a piece of the money involved there) then they should just specify that they will not give aid to those who participate and won't be responsible for their the losses they may have, and then just regulate the use of cryptocurrencies, but for well, life is bad there if you want in cryptos, just use VPN, as long as you are not a company or have a small business, you are fine.

The issue is that there is a lot of scam icos going on and this is their way of protecting their citizens. As Icos become better regulated, am sure the rule will change

It would be cool to have a video to see what the actual technology can do if the previous one show what could be achieved 2 years ago  Smiley
Which hardware do you need to test the platform?

Currently you can test the platform with oculus but they plan to expand to other hardwares
1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 11, 2017, 01:45:03 PM
Since the US has 3 very huge ticket businesses that are expected to be very protective of their client base, how is EventChain going to attract artists and organizers to come to their site instead? There is a breakdown of the funds allocation in the whitepaper where more than half is spent on marketing, but does EventChain also have a concrete strategy?

several artists have been complaining about second hand ticket sales. This scalpers excessively increase the price of this tickets, thus making it inaccessible to some of their real fans. so If EC can deliver on the proposed idea, they might be easily swayed.

Not sure how you gonna pull it out.

you don't need to buy properties all over the world. that's not the plan. they plan to start in US and then extend as the project ramps up.
as far as I know it was originally planned to start with Spain, since the team lives there. although I'm not sure, I'll go read again whitepaper

You are absolutely right. They plan to start in Spain first then branch out, as the project grows

I just heard that some old-school insurance companies that teamed up in B3i (Blockchain Insurance Industry Initiative) are going to roll out a blockchain technology beta for credit risk management.

http://www.insurancebusinessmag.com/us/news/breaking-news/insurance-giants-join-forces-as-blockchain-prototype-debuts-78510.aspx

Which means they are a direct competitor?

I am not sure about it's a direct competitor cause one of then is accounting based the other one ise insurance. But if it's, that's not a bad thing.

Market is already very big for just one company and competiton cause companies to perform better.

Not exactly. Traditional companies need much more time to achive something. They are obsolete and old minded so they won't be able to compete with Paypie soon

Very valid point made by Heimer. They always have to cope with their old infrastructure first to then implement new infrastructure. Not a problem that Paypie will have to deal with.

IMHO, its not easy to migrate legacy systems to a new one, and most employees of that old school insurance company with legacy systems will be hesitant to adapt their new system.

Am not sure about all that. Paypie is still trying to get it's feet wet. Hoping to create partnership with this big insurance companies while this companies already have this partnerships in place. either way, it's a vast domain and competition is good
1256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs on: September 11, 2017, 01:14:56 PM
This project sounds interesting - is there a marketing plan/budget for it?
Everything is mentioned in their Whitepaper and Announcement thread. They are also listed at various sites and they are making partnerships with Sony, Microsoft, etc.

Not to mention the bounties they're doing. all of that add up to a lot of buzz going around.

OK, not to get ahead of ourselves. there is no partnership with Sony or Microsoft yet. Rather, they are incorporating this companies tech into their platform hoping that it might lead to a partnership in the future
1257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 11, 2017, 12:56:08 PM
i've try alpha platform, and how to check my ticket when i purchase some tickets? and, how to use the ticket after purchase it?

In future the ticket barcodes can be scanned, maybe a password or ID check also is associated with it. The event promoters will have different options on how they wish their tickets to be validated. Also tickets can be resold and refunded according to customizeable Smart Ticket rules.

before i scan the barcode or i forget to copy the barcode, how i check my ticket?

A record of all your purchase should be on your acct

I'm looking to exchange only on exchanges with a small volume? on larger exchanges are planning?
I think it's too early to talk about exchanges, need to implement a working version of the product, although as practice shows, real estate projects are always in a trend - what why it's not excluded that Relest will be quoted at larger exchanges
Investors are interested in the growth of the coin on the exchange, so it is very important that the coin makes a turnover of money.

true, but it's not the only reason people invest. some just see long term potential to actually use the platform.

Yeah a majority of investors are in it for a long run, if they are comfortable with the ability of the dev to deliver on the proposed idea. So it's all dependent on the dev to cultivate/nurture their trust to encourage long term holders. or choose the opposite route and deal with ico's pump and dump teams.
