It is really very irritating to see such great app to be render useless by the attackers. I really hope this attack will tone down soon so we can access back to our wallet. Stay strong, they wont attack a useless site so you already have proven them that this is something that is of great importance to the public.

I believe problem arises because users attempt to withdraw all their btcs. Why not withdraw in batches?
Lets say u have 2 btcs in your fav exchange, why not get your coins out in 5 batches in 12 hours instead of getting all out one shot?
There could be some security mechanism that kick in to protect their users.
Honestly , I think the bitcoins are mine If I store them in a exchange so I should have the ability to withdraw any amount of bitcoin that I have. and I'm not sure about what mechanism we are talking about here since it will be more then likely an inside job. Try not to store your digital currency in online wallet like exchange. I have experience several pains due to this. I stored my dogecoins in crypsty and now all 500k of them are gone. I also lost some btc to mtgox. Better to keep in a cold offline wallet. |

This is really ridiculous way to get the money. What they have done is basically lost the customers in the mean time since now people would not be interested in this type of quick making money considering only their profit. Just for some amount of $ they lost clients for lifetime.
it's not about hack. it's about manipulation with "experiencing issues throughout datacenter " . is it not curious that they don't have a redundant "server" while this "tech problem" has happened in the past too?  They did the same in the past when the price was high...Bitfinex is a pure fraud. they earned ALOT from this shit. Do you think they care if they lose some clients while they made a huge profit? Some company can really be very selfish in this respect. I even know of a few company purposely did very poorly at a point of time so they cost the share price to drop to like 10% or even lower and then they buy back a tons of the share before giving out the better dividends. So they get more dividends and able to make some profit to sell the shares at a higher price. |

Yes, it's quoted as BTC as well in mine; and the amount I wanted was BTC - as the one I have lost. It says accepted, so I just wait for Kraken for the distribution (fingers crossed). can I conclude that if you want to be paid out in BTC, you have to switch to Kraken? Speaking about the file, i actually took some effort to just browser through to see how much did each person have. And i dont know if this is a bug or not, but someone have like a hundred thousand of btc? That is really an insane amount of btc! |

lol they are just pretending that they will have a lifetime program you should realize that the support and the people behind the hashocean are also anonymous we dont know who they are so if they have nice and good timing they will run and shut down their website .
They already have chance to get out with huge amounts. If they still are up, it means that they want survive halving. If they will not collapse untill that, this "cloud" can run for next two - three years at least.. Since when is the halving relevant to the survival of HYIP sites? HYIP sites don't collapse, they run away.  If they don't run away right after the halving then that simply means that they don't mind the price of bitcoin. They have built the foundation of their site. That will make people trust them as well. The trust of the people is the one that they are most concerned of because the more they look legit, the more chances that people would invest onto them. And what is even more sad is that people are still investing in Hashocean like crazy, in another economic forum I use online, I saw people there claiming how big their hash power is and a lot of other people saying "perfect the best website ever" " I think this website will last forever" a lot of noobs giving them their money. It will be disastrous when this HYIP will collapse and it will be during halving or just after it, once the price goes even higher, they cannot afford to pay all of the investors back with the money gotten from earlier ones. We will be here , right after halving it will be some big big crying in this very section of this forum. It is because a lot of people claimed that the hashocean has been paying for a long long time and it will be very safe. It have given out more than 10000btc and they wont scam you of your little btc. And some more the ROI is just within 3 months. Who wont want to try this out. |

With the increasing interest in scrypt power these days, I remember they converted every scrypt MH to 100 G/H of power. That's a rip off or maybe its planned from the start..
Conversion was worse if I remember correctly. Lost a good chunk of money in this scam Perhaps they kept all the scrypt power for themselves. I understand that LTC is hot in China these days and GM has a Hong Kong office. I wonder. I wont be surprise to find out if this is the true. So far, out of all the investors i have heard, almost all of them did not even manage to get their ROI back. This is a very terrible investment! |

I did some math and I figure if the ico raises 500 btc then the avg satoshi price will be around 1100 or 1200 satoshi. My order was in the black but was going down lol so I had to up it now to around 300 sats so am trying to go up slowly but not take it too high up but let's see what happens by the end, long way to go. Haha I am doing the same, watching those books like a hawk waiting to see if mine go in red I have given up on watching those books. The red keep changing non stop. It is way to tiring to keep watching every hour and so. I just plan to adjust in the last few days and pray for the best. Its the only way to do it. I gave up on moving my orders out of the red on like day2. I have an alarm set on my phone to remind me 15 minutes before the end. This is the most worrying part for me. When is the exact closing time for the order? I am very confused with the forum time and my own time. I am in GMT +8. I hope there can be a countdown clock on the website so i know how long more to closing time. The countdown clock is on the website, how can you miss it? Oh my, how can i be so stupid. The dao failed. http://www.coindesk.com/the-dao-is-closing-down/I hold many eth but only a few dao. It seemed to crazy for me to have invested a lot into it. A leaderless org on the blockchain,  How could that work I thought to myself. Anyway. It was a beautiful try but it failed miserably. This does teach us something though. Only invest in coins or projects with know devs who are in control of the project. Enough with the brand new accounts starting coins and projects or leaderless blockchain based org's. Enough is enough! Thank god this project has a hero and legendary member on the team. I feel much safer investing into this then the dao anyday. RIP DAO. I also have learnt from painful experience. Even now when i want to invest, i also have to look not just at the team members but also the potential of the projects. I have invested in popular projects that are backed up by high rep people but the project ended up in disappointment. However, we learnt from our mistakes and it has make me wiser in allocating my investment. |

A ton of money? To me that is not a ton of money they're asking even if it was money and not btc. People are going to hate and them same people get but hurt and try put others off. When I invested in ETH or LSK or a few others do you think they had got somewhere? No they had not that is why I risked it and the return paid me because I put faith in something before the ball was rolling. I truly understand the view points from both side of the spectrum. There will always be people who are careful and want to make sure everything is safe and proven before they are willing to try it out or do it. Usually, the best moment to make money is when everyone has yet to make any money from it so these people will tend to loss out a lot. They will settle with safer options and less rewards like 10% or even less ROI. Whereas you belongs to those who believe in your judgement and is a risk taker. You choose what you believe in and go all in with no fear. The potential is huge as the 'egg' that you invested in can turned out to be a phoenix or it is actually just a spoiled rotten egg. It's marvellous to see a community of crypto brothers building here. So much around the forum all I see is moon and how much money people are going to make but I see people who knows they will profit heavily but are looking how to create an awesome site. Booooom that is how winners are made with numbers and minds connecting. I have to get on copy and pasting a deposit address again.
Although i have to say that we are looking for profits and that is why we are pooling in our resources, i feel that a lot of us are also passionate about this projects and really hope that it will take off well. I really see some amazing ideas and discussions over here as compare to the posts i see in gambling sections. I have to say that i am enjoyed being here and monitor the thread and the sites. I am just recently aware of this service. I am pretty amazed on how well haobtc is putting in the effort to show that they are not a scam company. This definitely will attract potential customers like me. About a year ago, the fixed deposit is about 10btc. However, due to the recent rise in price for btc, do you consider to lesser the amount? I am speaking from a position that i am unable to afford 10 btc but i am interested to take up the fixed deposit. If it is 5btc today, it would be comparable to the price of 10 btc a year ago. This is my 2 cent of suggestion cause i am really sincerely interested in taking up the fixed deposit.

I think so too. The ico still runs for another 13.5 days and it's already at 113 BTC It is quite optimistic that it will be over 250btc but over 1000btc is quite hard. Most of the people who are support this dev has already pool in their resources. So now the rest of the period is about whether will there be new 'blood' coming in to support this and whether we will be adding more fund to fight for the top position. I predict that it will reach maybe 500btc. |

Going to be keeping an eye on this but two questions, how will the give away for the prepaid cards work? Virtual good or willing to mail us an actual physical card? and If I send my Bitcoin in at the near the end of the sale but it hits 3 confirmations after the sale ends, does it still count or??

When reading the Op it looks like they have ways to know it was you who made the deposit and thus have you covered, not only that but the email you provided will also be more proof on top of your IP and signed message from BTC address. So have little concern but hopefully that is upgraded soon. Although it is very true that the devs have a lot of things covered to safeguard us, i hope that the 2factors will come in as a feature to protect the account better. I know i can trust the devs to help me get back the account but it will still be troublesome to take days to recover it. |

This is picking up nicely I see, 40 backers and 45btc and growing! The thing is, to me the potential is massive. Especially if you make it into the top ten investors and the biggest of those. The income that can generate with the extras is very nice. Could end up with 3% of the entire profit  I love how the dev makes sure the initial investors are able to benefit the most and that is why so many people are willing to fork in their hard-earn btc to support this dice site. They are very clear of what they are going to do and they are also putting in extra effort to make sure the investors are able to benefit from it. I have seen a lot of companys forget about the investors after they have raised the necessary money. |
