1261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do some gamblers actually win? on: February 22, 2020, 06:43:06 AM
We all read threads where people say that it is impossible to win against the house because the edge that is always against a gambler.

But often when I am playing dice and I see chat and view stats of some gamblers there are actually some profiles that show profits while some show loss so my question is, do people actually make profits from dice or the stats are misleading or something?

And I am talking about regular gamblers who I mean are active in chat almost daily so it's not like they made profit once and stopped gambling, they are active and gamble almost every day so how some guys are managing profits while others are failing?

Self-moderation policy:
When you talk on-topic, we are all fine to go. May lock after considerable discussion. Thanks for understanding.

Based on my and my friend's experiences, gambler do win but not so many times if you compare it to their losses, some gamblers had good luck in a given day sometimes but most of the time they are on a losing side, the fact is there are more losers than winners because the gambling operators will close down his business if many gamblers win
The reality inside this activities and the very reason why many bankers start their journey to this venue of business. It's indeed true that there are people who win decently but more of those people also suffered from big losses, if gamblers keep winning from this the industry will not grow as big as it now.
Operators are not charitable institutions who will allow to keep bringing money to their participants, they are always taking the high advantage and collecting money from gamblers who can't manage to control their gambling habits.

Bad news again for SMB.

https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/smb-bad-luck-continues-as-terrence-romeo-hurts-ankle-in-freak-accident-a2437-20200221?ref=feed_1_section

Quote
SMB preseason jinx continues as Terrence Romeo injures ankle

Quote
TERRENCE Romeo is the latest to get struck with the recent string of bad luck for San Miguel as he hurt his right ankle during a tuneup game against Alaska.

The flamboyant guard just hit a tough leaner over JVee Casio just before the halftime break when he tripped on an exercise equipment in the baseline.

It's another tough break for the Beermen, which will already lost June Mar Fajardo for the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup due to a fractured right tibia.

There are 3 SMB stars already injured.

1-Fajardo
2-Lassiter
3-Romeo
Another star being injured, knowing the stats  Romeo is providing to this franchise, without Fajardo it's expected that he will bring good numbers as he is known to be a Legit scorer.
It's not good for the team seeing one of those star are being added to their injury list and will be bench till prior advise from their doctors.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: February 20, 2020, 03:32:48 PM
I don't think that addicted gamblers exist in online casinos.
If you are addicted you are going to notice that when you spend a lot of hours in a traditional casino. Otherwise, when you are home in front of your pc you have a lot of distractions around you that can make you stop gambling. You are not going to find a lot of addicted gamblers in here.

I differ from your thought because their are people who are very much addicted to the online gambling and it could be anytime during the day they may gamble depending upon the time the are free. They may be gambling entire night when no one is around or day when people in office . But definite they do find out the time to gamble and do not leave this habit which is a sign that they are addicted .
Indeed. There are lots of gamblers who suffers from this kind of act, they are not aware but only wanted to fill their needs. This lust for gambling once you already experienced the fun will keep haunting you. People who are able to manage this lust can escape from this bad habit and able to getaway from gambling addiction.

I just have a question, whether from all the content there that we watch, we will be paid? and is it really withdrawable?

Thanks
Good question since this site is only on it's beta it's needed to clarify whether the rewards that will be given can be withdrawn.
It's nice to know that there's crypto based project which is trying to work the same way as YouTube, if this will be supported by
crypto lovers then surely success will be followed.
1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 16, 2020, 12:18:18 PM

Honestly when it comes down to dunking ability, everyone was great however one thing we are all forgetting that at one point NBA dunk contest became more like an entertainment and not just good dunks. Remember when Blake Griffin jumped over a car?? (ok hood of the car) remember all the nate robinson and Howard rival stuff? Sure howard brought out the cape this year and it was nice to have 24 there as well but that doesn't mean that this was entertainment at all, this was just bunch of amazing dunkers just jumping really high and dunking really well, there was no "extra" involved at all and that is literally whats missing from dunk contest for the past few years, someone has to make something really extra in order to make this a lot more fun again, otherwise its bunch of dunkers just dunking.

What are you saying? Did you not just watch the dunk competition? Aaron Gordon just dunked over a guy more than 7 feet tall, that is far better in Blake Griffin's dunk over a car's hood and Nate's dunk over Dwight Howard that is just 6'11. If that is not extra, I don't know what you still want, and I am still wondering how Aaron still lost the dunk contest. Come on, that jump is more than 47 points.
The same sentiments from all those fans who watched this dunking contest, those high up dunks from Aaron Gordon really brings entertainment
but the judges is not impress giving him only 47 and loses that match.
For entertaining part for sure there's no question with how he jumped that high but still didn't get the approvals of those judges.
1266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 15, 2020, 04:04:26 AM
This is the adjustment you guys are talking.

San Miguel planning to go 'small ball' in Fajardo's absence

They'll go small ball then they will be faster and they can do that for sure as they have great shooters and great PG who can handle the ball and make good plays at the same time.

I think they are inspired with the current Rockets strategy int he NBA. Grin

I don't see a big change. I don't see them having a small lineup too. Fajardo is the only one who will be out.

Fajardo is always associated with PG: Romeo, Cabagnot SG/SF: Lassiter, Ross SF/PF: Santos - these are always the rotation of the first squad. They even make faster plays even with Fajardo on the floor so small or big or whatever they say, they can execute those plays.

Replace Fajardo with a center bench then that fills the hole. I don't see any small lineup here. Still the same as the lineup like the other teams which don't have a big man like Fajardo.

We can't really compare the Rockets situation here to SMB situation as in PBA, every team can compete even without a consistent center as other teams don't have a strong and consistent center too. PBA teams can really play with a small lineup without a problem. Look at Alaska, the tallest on their roster is 6'6. In TNT, 6'7, In Magnolia 6'6. SMB has a couple of 6'6 and 6'7 while Santos is 6'4.
That's right, though it's really a big difference if they have Fajardo but the team need to adjust and try to fill that position. All-Filipino is about local talents and SMB have those known stars who can deliver.

Adjustment and keep playing with the right system to follow, whoever to replace Fajardo's shoes  don't need to be a scorer defensive help and rebounding and let those stars around him to the rest. We will see more when the league starts.
1267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this time to Sell altcoins before BTC Halving on: February 14, 2020, 11:25:56 AM

In this time we have to think about what we need to do with our altcoins which is crushing daily basis. Here is my thought about altcoins to be patient and wait for the right time, don't need to panic,

Event Countdown is Here https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/

I think sell all crypto and switch it into currency is better option than hold, so I don't agree with your sentences. If you have better analysis than only optimist we're like to know that. There's possibility bitcoin will lost value after halving and this movement ( right now ) is just bait to invite people join in whales game. Take care your money before they take it.
You need to be wise and take your opportunities, whales are just around the corners and waiting for their own time to take the advantage. Having good views in order to assess when to hold and sell your assets, take time to observe and make your decision according to what you see that will benefits your
investment.

Why not, they still got those stars who can run and shoot, if all of them will step up TR7, Ross, Lassiter, Cabagnot and Santos, those names have special talents not because they are small means that they can't win good rotations and how the coach will adjust picking the right big guy to accompanied those star to help the defensive stop.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: February 14, 2020, 08:52:30 AM
I gamble a lot but im sure that im not addicted to gambling being addicted to gambling for most of the time could actually ruin being successful I believe that others with discipline and can control their self is the one that is successful in gambling if you're really addicted in gambling it might prevent you in being successful because they don't stop playing and don't get satisfied. All excess is harmful to us.

Curing addiction is I think very easy in my case the key is discipline. I think it is difficult to others since they justs go with the flow and don't really want to stop gambling or stop it.
Imbalance problem with those addicted gamblers who can't manage to established right attitude towards gambling. But for those who knows how to handle and knows what to do in order not to be engaged too much, they are capable of moving or quitting if they are not feeling good while playing,
take some rest then go back once they see some good edge.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Price to $14 - Any thoughts? on: February 13, 2020, 03:14:58 PM
Considering the total circulating supply, it's impossible for xrp to achieve such growth. The whole crypto market cap will be more than 50 times what it is right now for it to happen.
Considering price could be manipulated quite a lot, and crypto market manipulation is more easy than traditional finance. If they want xrp could go up to 30 dollars or more.
Who knows, and those who are holding this coin will be more happy after. Remember those days where xrp is not that much and when the bull
arrives it pumped up more than 3$, this centralized project is not far from being manipulated and be used by the bankers who will start investing
and working with crypto.
1271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 be bearish as well? on: February 13, 2020, 01:25:26 PM
~
I think the market is going to see a big correction soon over the next few days because the coins I know now have gone up very high over the past time and if you are not careful you will easily lose money. In my opinion, you should only choose to invest or trade in some major coins and limit your long-term holdings because the risk may occur at any time. Personally, I am sure the altcoin season will be coming soon but it will happen very suddenly so please consider before buy.

Which coin are you going to suggest then? Well, for the past years whenever we see BTC going up for hundreds of dollars over 24hrs for sure it will go down that is why even though it is a sign that bull run is coming, we still need to be vigilant on the market. Just like last year, we have seen a lot of this and then, it just fail.
Correct being vigilant and wise will give you much higher chances to earned instead of losing your investment. There's no assurance that what we expect will happen what is best id to be more extra careful positioning your investment, choosing the right projects will give you higher chances of success. Don't invest without knowing what you are doing.
1272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 13, 2020, 12:25:34 PM
I took the Nuggets to upset the Lakers tonight. I think Jokic has been playing great recently and it's always tough traveling to Denver.
Sadly to say that they've loss in the overtime, AD and LeBron's combo manage to snatced this game from the Nuggets, The power duo
bring the game in their shoulders to lift the entire team in winning this game.
It's almost a good catch for you if Nuggets manage to continue the rally from the third period, but Lakers able to catch up and win.
1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Litecoin break it's all time high? on: February 13, 2020, 07:30:57 AM
I think it will be difficult for Litecoin to be able to reach prices of $ 300 or more. the current price is still around $ 80 and the market cap is still around $ 5 billion. although the market is currently in a good trend and most likely the pump will continue to occur, maybe litecoin will only reach a maximum price of $ 150.
We don't know what future will bring if this bull momentum continue to be strong.  The last time ATH still possible to achieve or might be surpassed
it's still depends from how the market will push forward.
Crypto always full of surprises and knowing that LTC is also one of those top coin from the market chances always there to make a huge pumped.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao on: February 12, 2020, 07:30:42 PM

I am not sure he will be able to survive fighting Manny,.. I watch some highlights on Mayweather - Conor fight and looks like Conor does not play defense, he will be an easy target for Manny and we a possible knockout of the year. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRnfVEL9Oyg)

He's not going to survive, that's for sure.

He got knocked out by Floyd Mayweather, who hadn't knocked a guy out since 2012.

Meanwhile Pacquiao has been stopping guys left, right and center for the last decade. I would be worried for his life if I were McGregor's family.
But it's just another fight to entertain fans and not as serious when two boxers fight. There's no chance that Pacquiao will harmed McGregor the same
thing that he's doing with his previous opponents, and with how he already change in fighting style he's no longer throwing that killer punch that much
there's no serious harm that might happen, enough only to bring enjoyment to their fans around if this fight will happen.
1275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 12, 2020, 05:23:15 PM
I know they are that kind of team but just for the sake of betting. A small amount wouldn't matter to me because I just want to watch this game and bet on it or simply bet on it without watching.

Thanks for showing that thread.

Well, then you should try betting more games on the board.. I also would like to recommend to bet on the over since both teams have a pretty bad record now and they are so unpredictable, if only Wizards would be playing at home I would pick them but they are on the road now after playing the bulls and win. Maybe if you try to look at the fatigue factor, you'll take the home team here as Wizards are playing a back to back games.
That impact the game since fatigue might exhaust them while playing against the home team. Adding to that, both teams don't have any chance to proceed to second round it's really unpredictable if which is which will perform better.
If you are still interested just like what you have said, betting with small amount and try your luck would be fine.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which is easier, stop when you are winning or stop when you are losing? on: February 12, 2020, 04:11:18 PM
I guess the same goes for both. Whenever a gambler wins they become greedy and crave for more money. On the other hand, when gamblers lose they chase for their losses. So in both situation, it is still difficult to stop.

Take note that any habits that you isually do or do in a regular basis is something difficult to stop. It might take time and you might need to withdraw on it gradually.

Greediness will stop us from thinking which of which is better. It's evident from many experiences that people lose more due to being greedy. Not stopping when already won same with keep pushing and not stopping when already loss a lot. We need to know what our goal is even the temptation is too high, know your goal so focus and set the goal amount that will stop when won and amount already spend for you to stop.
A wise gambler always set it's limitations, if you wanted to take advantage you should create a system that will allow you to control the situations. When you already lose such amount from your set goals best to stop, same with when you are winning. Don't allow greed to control you, it's always nice to quit when you are in winning status, enjoying the luxuries of your winning money.
1277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did you notice top exchanges reduced the withdrawal fee? on: February 12, 2020, 03:17:40 PM
It was really a great decision from the top tier exchanges, because of withdrawal fee was very high, even I stopped withdrawing for every day as it took 7-8$ fee every time. But now they reduced it by 50%, so traders like me who doesn't feel exchange safe enough for storing coins, they will gladly withdraw after every profit!
Exactly, this decision has too many benefits for both users and exchanges, and first, we should talk about our benefits, we will feel more comfortable when we do not need to store on the exchange, no need to calculate too much for each withdrawal when the cost is low, and a small amount of money saved from this expense can sometimes create more opportunities for us. Ending our interests and looking at the benefits of exchanges, this decision will increase their trust in the community, this strategy is very attractive to many investors
Traders will see that benefits and the exchange will surely benefits from this action. There's no need to store your assets inside the exchange as you can easily send it to your own wallets because of this action from the exchange lowering the fees. Coming from the side of exchange it's also a quick profits especially if most of their participants will withdraw from time to time, the bulk numbers of transactions will give them an easy to bank money.
1278  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning to trade on: February 11, 2020, 10:55:33 AM
Before trading you've got to adopt different strategies and you would like to possess knowledge of trade unless you'll trade you'll learn the trade by watching market conditions and practicing different places or watching videos. First, you would like to take a position a touch before trading.
Take your time to acquire different knowledge so you'll be ready in any situations, knowing that the market is really volatile and things can easily be change overtime. Learning all the basic then enhance it from time to time. You can adopt once you already have some experienced so best not to be afraid taking the risk. Challenge yourself to enhance your chances to success.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Teofimo Lopez Lightweight Unification fight on: February 11, 2020, 09:08:27 AM
Motormouth Teofimo Lopez is trying to provoke Loma as much as he can. Yesterday he verbally abused Loma, and claimed that his rival may have to retire soon (Lomachenko is 31 years old). BTW, is there any news on the actual dates for this fight? It was originally scheduled for April, but now it is known that there will be another 1-2 months delay. I am hoping that we'll be able to watch the fight within the next 5 months.
This part of promotions  really needs to create noises to gathers more viewers and fans. It's a good way of promoting the fight since there's no actual date yet, with more social medias exposures and more thrash talks to lingered around, this might bring more money for both fighters and promoters. It's been a culture since the venue of public news is very provoking and being followed by fans.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run top 5 Alts for 2020. on: February 11, 2020, 08:42:17 AM
There hasn't been a bull run in the market for a long time, so we should expect it this or next year, the market has been accumulating strength long enough to take off.
The cycle might be happened after the halving, bitcoin will experienced bull run then those alts that have good team behind will also push their projects to experienced the same achievements, It's tough to predict but if you know how to follow good projects it can be based from the achievements and progress that they still providing to their supporters and communities.
