1841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Cock Fighting on: September 18, 2019, 07:15:27 AM
This game is fun and easy to bet, you can only choose one winner because the match is one on one fight on each cock. When this will be broadcast online, the impact to the gamblers is much comfortable and advantage. They wouldn't worry about going to what location of the game is held, but watch and bet live can be great alternatives.

Yup it's fun and very convenient to bet online but it's not easy to win though it's a one on one match-up. Luck would still be a factor in winning on this kind of game but it matters also if you know the owner and the breed of the cock/bird. The disadvantage of this online cockfight betting is you tend to lose more because of the convenience to bet, does someone could relate to this?
It's not easy to predict if you don't know the breeder of the fighting cock. Unlike with real cock fighting where you know the cock's owners
and you have personal confidence that you can take some edge even it still depends on how the conditions of the cock on that specific day. It still varies with how things will turn if luck permits you.

In the convenience side, online betting will give you the easy way to place your bets. And if you love the game, then you'll bet hoping for luck to show up.
1842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A New Bitcoin Rival Is Coming? on: September 17, 2019, 01:35:49 PM
in my opinion no one can compete with Bitcoin at any time ... because Bitcoin is the king of all coins ... even though there will be the latest coin with the latest breakthrough ... but bitcoin remains the number one in the world of cryptocurency ... there are very many altcoins created and until now no one has been able to defeat the greatness and endurance and popularity of the king of coins.
Being the first to come up with huge support from the community gives the advantage for Bitcoin. Even if there's already a lot of competition that's been introduced from time to time, but the big success is still enjoyed by Bitcoin. Rivals are there, and eventually, it will create noises around crypto currency. Only time will tell if there's enough reason and finished products to offers.
1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 17, 2019, 10:47:12 AM
Right, they still have Been and Curry combination and then some players that can really make a break out performance for them this year. We will definitely see the old Curry since KD is gone and carry the team again. They may have lost Iggy or the likes of Livingston, but they are still a team to reckon this season.

It's a Curry and Thompson combination, expect that both of them will average at least 20 points PPG in the coming season.
Thompson is well motivated now as he got a max contract for the team and I'm pretty sure that their consistent 3 point shooting will help them win more games again. They were the splash brothers who gave success to the team even before Durant, so I think people have to remember that.

But Thompson is still injured and we might not see them play together after the all-star-break. The new splash brothers will be D'Angelo Russell + Stephen Curry. We don't know how the two are going to blend though, but I'm sure every GSW fans is very excited to see them together playing.

I'm not saying that it will replace Thompson and Curry but having D'Angelo Russell in the team will bring something new in the table here. No more Durant and it's going to be Steph Curry's team once more.
D'Angelo adds offensive threat as he really has  the same intensity that Curry's bring this team. With a good chemistry between this 3 shooting guards, the outside percentage is really high. It's the players initiatives to be competitive as the same thing they did when they formed the championship caliber team before.

Curry's standing up will be anticipated this coming season. As the West side of the league really upgraded their squad, without KD to help them, he needs to be there and play well to influence his teammates.
1844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bubble and Crypto on: September 17, 2019, 10:29:11 AM
Even if we don't hope for it, regulation will happen as there's no such thing as not regulated here when the market is already as big as a billion of dollars market. The government's job is to protect the investors and the users of crypto, they won't be able to carry out their function without regulating the market.

I believe it's not a mistake since the market is already slightly regulated now and we see some good progress especially on exchanges where there's less fraud now. Let's embrace this changes as we need this, let's comply to what the government requires us and then we can see a consistent growth for the crypto market.

I am also not against legal regulation.
However, not does this contradict the basic principles of cryptocurrencies - decentralization and anonymity?
Or, probably, it will be something new, let's call it, for example, legal cryptocurrencies.
It contradicts the intention of being anonymous,  though there's no way that everyone will continue using the system that have a big market value without the interfering of the government, both for right regulations or to also have a good control with how things are getting bigger with this market.

Government will ensure its position having a much higher knowledge to incorporate its ruling to prevent more people from their jurisdiction being victimized by scammers.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 17, 2019, 06:51:06 AM

But I highly doubt I can see the same lineup come 2020 Tokyo Olympics. I am seeing the likes of Curry in there. The US has still the best team in the world when it comes to basketball. They are still my favorite for the Olympics.
Most of us, if not everyone, agrees. But Olympics is another venue to showcase your skills, and every NBA superstars wanted to gain the stardom, same as what MJ receive back then. And that stardom was never been forgotten to each side of the world and still being enjoyed by the Airness.

Aside from representing your motherland, you are also adding more popularity to your own career and that's how NBA superstar will see this opportunity, adding more fans all over the world this coming Tokyo Olympics.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling affected your personal reputation? on: September 17, 2019, 06:32:28 AM
in the place where I live, discrimination against gamblers is huge, so it will create social pressure, and you will feel uncomfortable. a lot of street gamblers are caught at my place because that is illegal. this certainly will affect one's reputation in the social. maybe some places also get the same thing. but, some people might still do it, whether it's pressing it in a public place or not. we know that each person has a different intention in his heart.
With this type of communitiy, the influence adds big pressure to anyone who's involve with gambling activities. It's hard to find excuses when someone already tag you as one of those practitioner. It reflects right away to your image the impression of having this discriminated activities.

Though even there's a community like this, but inside gamblers' mind, it's still okay to continue as long as you are not doing wrong to anyone and you are keeping everything without disturbing anyone.
1847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: September 16, 2019, 10:07:08 AM
there won't be many people who depend on income from gambling, especially if gambling can be done as a profession to be able to make money. I think only people who are lazy to work or do not have other jobs that make playing gambling a profession to make money instantly

What are you saying? The reason it is called a profession means that people are earning through it as a source of income. That is like when parents are telling their children that they can't earn anything from playing online games and now million and million of money are being priced to these games and now being called esports.

He clearly does not understand what is gambling and what is making money in gambling.

Calling it lazy is alright, in fact I think that a gambler making money in gambling is a smart person, he doesn't need to work hard, he just have to play it smart. Whatever our strategy or our way is, our main purpose why we work is to make money, gambling can be a profession also, and it could be the highest paying job if you are successful in this venture, I'm telling you it's true, most gamblers aim to win consistently, but only few have the skills to do it.
There's only few people who can manage to get this kind of priveledge. The gambling industry is a successful business, and only those who are lucky and have a good initiative to work,  keep enhancing knowledge and capabilities to use the right emotions and attitude while you're dealing with this activities.

Those people who acquired opportunities to live a life using this venue mostly are kind of people who are not greedy. They are contented with decent profits to survive then  comeback the next day to play again.
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Back From The Dead? on: September 16, 2019, 09:32:12 AM
It is definitely too early to state that ETH is back. The price is still on the bottom, because 200 bucks for ETH is just silly. Hope the next big update would make things better, because it is slowly time for ETH to raise in price.

Heh yeah, barely 5% increase and we're all talking about crazy things. I should be happy of course but I'm a $400 entry guy so $200 is only 50%, nothing to get my hopes up too much. We first have to get over $200 and the stay there properly. We went farther than $300 already and still found a way to lose all that value, so I'm not optimistic it can happen so soon.
Increase once again will bring hype with the current market for this coin. Though there's a lot of obstacle before we can say that it's finally went back to its range again. We see some run early this year but unable to continue holding the barrier. It's tough to maintain every position as investors are still switching every now and then.

Updates and more progress to expect will surely make things up for this coin and lift it up again then bring new hope for supporters and investors that will keep on holding this project.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you staking or mining, or both? on: September 16, 2019, 08:23:29 AM
I see the benefit in staking. For staking, we don't need to do anything apart from keeping the coins or tokens in project's ecosystem.
For mining, it needs more resources so kind of additional investment.
However I am not sure which gives more stable returns.
There is something many people excluded from Prove of Work advantages, sometimes if you start mining new project you will have many more coins in a short period of time and if you have luck the project will list on good exchange and you will be able to make big profit in short time, this is not available on POS either
I believe the combination of both staking mining and smart trading will give you more chances of becoming a successful in the cryptocurrency market.
Experience will be the benefiting factor. With your broad knowledge regarding to this industry, a combination of staking coins and trading it once in a while will give you a much higher chance to grow your portfolios. If you know the right timing when to hold and keep your coins staking inside your wallet while waiting for the value to rise, then after that trade whenever you see the opportunities to sell it up with high value. By keeping repeating the same cycle, you are increasing the numbers of your assets with  maximizing your available ways.
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit Exchanges, an end to good projects. on: September 16, 2019, 07:39:28 AM
We investors also have our own errors in this too, when we make investment, we forget they have to go through development stage, and then we want them to quickly get inside an exchange so that we can quickly make profit out of them, if they refuse to enter exchange and they continue with development, you see many people frustrating them via their telegram group and already making them feel like they are shitcoins already.

That is why some of them are tempted to get listed on a shit exchange, and then some of them, along the line when they don’t enter shit exchange, while waiting for the time to enter a solid one, they also get carried away along and then forget about the project continuity, but this is not an excuse anyway for people.
Responsible developers will not give any excuses for the project developments. If they really have a good plan to workout with their project, they won't need to rush things out instead they will keep the project in shapes. Even there are some delays due to many factors that influenced the market, they will keep track,  which is not bad in the long run.

Being listed to any exchanges, both well-known and those unknown to many, should not be a concern if the team behind is really providing good developing progress. It will continue to survive without any fear from the market.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 16, 2019, 07:01:56 AM
Of course, I will remember the losses and calculate them. I think we cannot say it is a big win if there are still more losses. Even though, it cannot return the money we spent for months. So, how can he feels very ecstatic about the winning?  Grin
Depends on how you look at a big win, for others increasing their starting bankroll by 2x-5x  would be a big win.

I agree he won't recover all of what he spent but winning a lot of money for once will always give you that positive feeling because it doesn't happen to most gamblers only a few get the chance to win big.

Only few lucky gamblers who will be given an opportunity to win over the house. It will surely be forgotten once you get to that point in time that you have that priveledge. Those previous loses will not come up inside your minds thinking that you will enjoy the satisfying moments that happened to your gambling activities.

Everything will be on the current events that gives you a good outcome.  It will erase those bad streaks that happened before with your gambling activities.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is or are the contribution of Crypto gambling sites to Crypto Currency on: September 15, 2019, 05:32:17 PM
We now have hundreds of Crypto gambling sites and many more coming I honestly think, gambling sites contributed a lot to the adoption of Cryptocurrency because even gamblers that do not know about Cryptocurrency adapt and learn how to use it so they can play in these Cryptocurrency gambling sites.

The contribution is building a huge community of gamblers, we have a large community of gamblers and gambling sites, and this contributed large volumes for the top coins in the market if you check all these gambling sites, they accept various Cryptocurrency, it strentghen the value and community around Cryptocurrency.
If they will continue to prosper from this industry, more adoptions will take place, knowing that gambling business can lead more success to this industry. This kind of good and well-established businesses will drive the value of well- known crypto coins that being mostly used by the system.

Gambling industry together with the patronizing gamblers can serve as a good users of this payment process, crypto will be able to catch more people's interest.
1853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next year will determine the fate of altcoins on: September 15, 2019, 05:00:19 PM
Why is it that so many crypto enthusiasts believe that 2020 will have great impact in crypto since next halving will occur by then? I think the halving will only increase price of BTC rapidly  for a short period of time especially before it occurs, but is definitely not the year to know whether altcoins will strive or not. Altcoins without project development won't do well even when people move funds to altcoins after the halving. So I don't think next year will determine the fate of altcoins.
No one can accurately predict how things will work out after this year. But given the point that halving will lift the value of Bitcoin and with how the past movements gave its early investors, once Bitcoin pumps, Alts follows after. But like you said, it can be a temporary rise. As without any concrete progress, there's no chance that the value of any Alts will rise and bring any decent amount.

1854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Last 3 Months of 2019! What is your prediction about the Market? on: September 15, 2019, 04:39:52 PM
I am losing hope that we are going to have another all-time high, only three months to go, we already have a lot of great news, but unfortunately, it failed to push the price to what we expected, the highest that we have achieved so far this year was $ 13k.
I will be happy if Bitcoin can at least reach $15k, then we can hope for an all time high next year.
It's still possible to reach that amount. There's a lot of people who continue to believe that the market will rise and bring a good bounce. It will be appreciated if market will go above the last high that we experienced this year and then become more successful next year after halving period.

It's about how much investors will entrust their money investing inside this volatile market and wait what fate will bring in this remaining 3 months of 2019.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto hodling as a form of gambling! on: September 15, 2019, 04:22:03 PM
If we think broadly of the word gambling, it could actually be used in so many things. Even life is a gamble somehow. Marriage is the same.
You have a point. If there's no assurance for the outcome then its gambling.

Holding crypto is like gambling as well because we dont know the future of our holdings.

Just like now all of my coins in my portfolio is slowly losing their value but I keep holding because I know the risk if you invest in crypto.
You are betting with your fate and it's gambling in some point. You have to face reality that inside this industry, there's no certain, and any assurance that you'll be able to earn or lose your money after taking your position. The moment you invest inside to  any projects, you are already considered gambling.

Holding and continue working even it takes time, you'll never know what future will bring you. It takes some guts to patiently wait for any results
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 15, 2019, 03:30:45 PM
Lost BTC0.01 after betting for Argentina. After watching so many upsets, I thought that there was a real chance of a win by the Latin Americans. But what we got in the end was a completely lop sided match. Anyway congrats to Spain, who performed amazingly to win the tournament. Apart from Gabriel Deck, the other Argentine players were unable to match the Spaniards.
Spain played very well. They showed like a champ,  full of confidence. They've dictated the game and win it according to the plan. Players who are really dedicated deserves the credits of winning the title. European players showed the dominance from this tournament.

Congrats to Rubio for bringing the tournament MVP and for the entire Spain squad,  you deserve the World Cup title. See you in the Olympics.

Three-time NBA champion Shaun Livingston announces retirement after 15-year career

"I’m excited, sad, fortunate and grateful all in one breath," Livingston wrote. "Hard to put into a caption all of the emotions it takes to try and accomplish your dreams."
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nba/warriors/2019/09/13/nba-golden-state-warriors-shaun-livingston-retires-after-15-years/2311279001/

Give this man a break, he deserves it.

Thanks for all your contribution Livingston! Enjoy your life now together with your family with this retirement.
He'll be remembered as a the man that gives some rest for the splash brothers and make his stayed be an impact, a short distance shot that have a good high percentage basket, this retirement indeed too early as what we've seen from his last performance, he still have the game that still contribute momentum for GSW.

For sure this decision to hang his jersey is hard for him, it's a tough call maybe having 3 rings and be satisfied from what he  already achieved influenced him to make this decision, ending his careers with a sweet journey. Thanks for the memories Shaun.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinions on IEOs on: September 14, 2019, 07:28:32 AM
To me, I believe this Era of IEO is better compared to the time of ICO. IEO has curbed the emergence of scam projects. It reduces it to a certain extent. IEO also safes the project team the unnecessary headaches of listening as the agreement of listing must have been entered with an agreed exchange party.
but now we see that most IEOs that have already been completed have fallen in price very much as ICOs fall after listing on the exchange. I don't see the difference
With the market situation, it's also been pulled by many factors which investors mostly go for a quick results instead of supporting the project. Same deal with ICOs where investors are hoping to see the token being listed to any exchange to see the value and sell it out after. IEOs nowadays show much higher appreciation. People love to play with quick results  to move forward with another project.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 14, 2019, 03:36:08 AM
I'm going with France and Australia now, small bet on Australia.
I much prefer now betting w/out handicap, I'm rekt from  my previous bets with handicap, those odds is really tempting but the risk is pretty awful, lol..
Goodluck again  Cheesy

This is what I meant once you put money on France Moneyline even they have the higher chances to win, in case of a win, low returns, in case of a lose, much hurtful.

But your money on Australia fights till the end.

I will pass on today's match and will put my money on the last round, the finals.
It's worth the risk anyway, Aussie have good players and have the mindset of trying to win each game that they've got placing small bets with handicap +1.5 can double your bet, for sure it will be a good game between this two teams both are doing well from this tournament and deserve the position from this world cup. In the other side, Spain is the favorite to win this tournament though we see a lots of upset but basing from how they've reached this finals, it can be a good value for your money picking carefully with high hopes to win.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 13, 2019, 09:18:42 AM
The Detroit Piston added some shooting power into their bench. Joe Johnson signed up with the team after a successful stint at Ice Cube's Big 3 league. The guy may be old but he can still shoot well. https://www.msn.com/g00/en-us/sports/nba/joe-johnson-signs-with-pistons-after-mvp-stint-in-big3/

Good addition don't you think?

Yeah, he is a good addition to Detroit. His experience is what Detroit needs. He is also a physical player who is not afraid for a physical game that fits the tradition of Detroit.
The traditional kind of game where these bad boys were known for.  Though those old days are gone and the type of basketball is no longer physical, but his addition to this team will bring a good impact. He's a defensive and offensive threat, and his experience with this league is a  plus factor. It just needs to be incorporate with his new teammates and the coaching staff to maximize his capabilities.
