Am i disqualified as a result my recent sex change sweetie?
A ninja distribution of the fund to all original stakeholders with an announcement here would be nice. As you said, a lot are long gone which would be like a semi burn.
Not at all. I support your transition all the way but sadly one's interest in cryptocurrency gets lost in that hormonal swirl. Believe me, I know. I think we're kind of past doing anything involving original stakeholders any more. It would be too messy and complex.

I think the silver thing is still up in the air. I think they've been waiting for a certain price level to finance it. It's time it was knocked on the head once and for all. Most original stakeholders will be dead, cashed out, lost the keys or have undergone sex or personality changes by now.

Maybe ask people from BTER, they sould have one? Anyway we need to talk to them, because node withdrawal doesn't work, trading cancelled, coin is delisted. You cannot buy or sell nodes and you cannot withdraw. At least we need the opportunity to withdraw from bter.
If BTER responds to anything, that means they'll have to address everyone they owe money to. Give it a whirl but the odds of getting a squeak out of them are low.

Hey if we reached $1 billion marketcap, I still would be happy! I think this is reasonable, considering what ETH achieved in marketcap. ETH managed that by having premines, presales, miners and manipulators ready to rock. I don't think NEM can manage any of those circumstances. It would need very different means to get there, like actually being useful, in which case its market behaviour and position is going to be very different to anything we've seen so far if it managed it.

that would make NEMs market cap half that of bitcoin. not gunna happen - at least not anytime soon.
It is of course a pipe dream, but Bitcoin is pure speculation with a teensy bit of usage. It looks like NEM is taking the absolute opposite approach and the usage might lead to speculation. On top of that Bitcoin's market cap is likely to be significantly higher by the time NEM really gets going. If ETH could get around 10% of Bitcoin's market cap while still being a buggy heap of shit that no one uses for anything actually useful then anything's possible when something proven with actual utility, and even some real live users, gets some headway going. So far no alt has really achieved anything. If that changed then things could get interesting. They're all sat promising the moon while wanking themselves away on exchanges and nowhere else.

Hell, if it gets to that level I'll call every single one of my kids NEM too.

but should i ever meet this nazi in real life i will instantly reconsider this. this blatant nazi sheit makes me want to vomit. Hey, don't sweat it. I think it's safe to assume he's probably 18 inches high and hasn't set foot outside his Siberian studio apartment since 1993.

ICO? Automatic disqualification as far as I'm concerned. Pegged currency? That makes it a quadruple fail. Pegs don't survive in the long run.
If it's that great an idea then go and obtain some legitimate professional funding from somewhere which'll beget more of it.
At some point soon the legacy system is going to get legally medieval on this type of thing.

Do you know what became of this offer? It sounds genuinely appalling. Investing in mining is a shitty idea at the best of times, investing outside China even worse.
|
|
|
Now that is certainly a step up from your average crypto dogshit. Sooner rather than later NEM is going to leave this dirty little part of the internet far, far behind. It would be nice to see some signs of life regarding usage of the public chain. I haven't heard many or any squeaks regarding that.

what is the relation between Marine Le Pen polling well in France and the price of Bitcoin?
Hey, everything that happens is good for the price of Bitcoin. I myself have been discovering skid marks in my pants repeatedly recently. You're welcome to thank me for the price holding as well as it has.

Also, how do you get delegated harvesting to work? I have over 30k in the nano wallet, and it just says i need 10k vested to start harvesting.
Gawd knows. I've opened multiple wallets and started harvesting countless times and never got a single XEM.

Pascal thingy is causing everything else to rise. I wonder what 2017 will bring in terms of alt ridiculousness. Surely people are tiring of it a little by now?
|
|
|
This was a quite staggering waste of an opportunity. I've no idea what was going on in the developer's head. Probably nothing. Altland is filled with utter failure but I never saw anything quite like this before or since.

I have a few. I received one directly from Mr Casascius a couple of days before he was shut down so maybe it'll be a mythical example some day.
They're very cool objects.

NEM really go up 20x in 2016. Is that true?
Nope. Considerably more than that. Not too far off 100x. It ended 2015 around the 30-40 satoshi range and hit about 2800 at its absolute most bonkers in July.

Hmm. Interesting stuff. As ever, the coins that well and truly go places will have little or nothing to do with the usual shite that swirls around here. It'll be real people doing real things out in the big bad world.
As for the current creep up I think Poloniex is in a pumpy mood and that's about it. Even my dead tape worm would be pumped if it was on there.
|
|
|
Yup. No mining and no inflation is a big factor in how the volume behaves. It seems to veer pretty wildly. I'm sure whales have picked it up and thrown it down in the past a la that insane bubble.
I don't believe there was any reason for the rise other than Poloniex whales feeling like having an artificial pump. I doubt most of them knew what it was or what it could do. It's just another three letters to prey on.
Why NEM is so invisible is one of the great mysteries. Again, no mining is a factor and also no crappy ICO type stuff either to stoke ongoing hype. It can certainly do plenty more than the junk that others get excited about elsewhere on here. Its time will come.

Wow. What a shock. A non coin removed from a non exchange.
