I don't exactly know the point of this committee but I'm in. OP you got to add the word bitcoin to your dictionary.

Seriously?

Done correctly, I see this getting legs.

Will this list held up against the infamous Las Vegas Pirate meetup?  Cheesy

Not sure, but to date we have one French banker, three KC area photographers, an ex-felon, a foundation guy, a data center guy who just happened to work across the street from one of BFL's addresses, and a Walmart greeter doing assembly, possibly soon operating a piece of equipment purchased off eBay, working in concert with one another to build computer rigs of which they've already received $9M USD in pre-orders for. You have to wonder if Pirate is saying to himself, "Genius! That's 18 times more than what I got. Why the hell didn't I think of it?"

How do concrete experts make computers?

From the Mt Gox email leak last year, we know who that is:

Quote
35419,avleisides,andrew@spartanfoundationrepair.com,$1$...

On paper, that makes three Vleisides's involved with BFL: Chris, Sonny and Andrew. Chris, Sonny' s stepdad is president, Sonny is vice president, and I'm not sure of Andrew's position.

Sonny would be the one most versed in the financial aspect of Bitcoin, being that he was loosely involved with Laissez Faire City and very familiar with the Digital Monetary Trust.

Quote
Digital Monetary Trust was an anonymous internet banking system using electronic money.

It consisted of a three-layered computer system. Its function was to abstract the identity of the account owner from the accounts. That is, the account holders transfer money into the DMT network, which becomes the legal owner of the money. Then, the account holder can make a private DMT transfer to another account in the system,. The system is based on trust between the "bank" and the account holders, hence the name.

It was allegedly owned and maintained by James Orlin Grabbe and hosted on Dubai Internet City servers.

I'd be interested to see how things pan out before deciding whether to join or not.I am a professional filmmaker for those who need those services (mainly offering video editing services at the moment though). If the founder is interested,I'd like to PM ideas that I think could work for the group or maybe it's best that I just post them here instead (still thinking on that one at the moment,I'll get back to you).

I think film2240 needs to be brought up to speed as to what exactly is going on here.

Newegg warehouse addresses aren't hard to find and I know they do will call. That is just one of many examples. These "it needs to be kept top secret to ward off the super awesome bitcoin industrial espionage ninjas" posters are full of bovine fecal matter.

Is BFL going to make the two independent VIP guests sign NDAs regarding the address? If so, wow.

BFL_Guy: I would like to rent this warehouse.
Lessor: Great! What are you going to use the building for?
BFL_Guy: To manufacture computer boards.
Lessor: Do you have a business license?
BFL_Guy: Yes. Here it is.
Lessor: Why registered in Wyoming?
BFL_Guy: Tax purposes. You, as a business owner can appreciate that.
Lessor: Will there be any hazardous waste involved during the manufacturing?
BFL_Guy: None!
Lessor: Will these products be sold to terrorists or is a national security threat to the US?
BFL_Guy: Nope!
Lessor: How many employees will you have working in this warehouse? Will you have workmans comp insurance for your employees? Are the employees legally in the US? Has any of the concerns of your business ever been convicted of a felony?
BFL_Guy: The standard 22 employees.
Lessor: Month-to-month lease or a year?
BFL_Guy:  Grin Month-to-month sounds perfect, that way you're protected.
Lessor: Sign here.

He's renaming his threads that are dealing with his GLBSE assets to single letters, like P stands for TYGGR-BOND-P, A for TYGGR-BOND-A etc...

How do you spell Tigger? "T" "Y" "Double Guh" "er"

Either you're showing your age, or Mommy learnt you a new song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esuVxk_gqX0

Full Disclosure: This is the song that immediately came to mind upon reading your post. Hunted down a video I've never seen before. Hope you all enjoy.

What exactly do you search for that brings you across the video of a chimp making a frog suck him off! You still worry me a little Bruno.

YouTube suggested it me when I found the funny goat video. The original one I viewed was titled Chimp Rapes a Frog, thinking to myself, "Surely not!", but it was. The first time I viewed it, I about died laughing 20 seconds into it. I wish Animal Stories on WLS (Google it) was still on, for I could hear it asked, "Is the the frog going to be okay, Uncle Lar?"

On second thought, since I've yet to lie to you folks, here's how it really went down. MFC was not available, so I searched YT for Chimp + Frog, hoping something interesting pops up and boy was I relieved.

Anybody want to buy a slightly used frog?

I'm hoping next week we will begin the process.  I was hoping the end of this week, but it's taking a bit longer than I'd like.

Can you provide an operating address now or is it still in process?

Will BFL now provide an address of operations or has the transition to the secure facility not been completed?

If I was BFL I would never give out an address of a development or assembly facility.  There is no reason to and just about every company out there has facilities that they do not publicly divulge information on.  What would a published address for a facility do for you guys?  Other than give BFL the giant headache of every miner in the world wanting to just 'drop by'.

So true. That is why Charlie with BitInstant in NYC (a small town with few bitcoiners) had to hire two armed guards to control the crowd trying to get access to him daily. Only if he hadn't let his address known. Only if.

12719  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Find Trendon Shavers in person thread... [BTCST, BTS&T, pirateat40] on: October 26, 2012, 03:30:08 AM
Yeah, I do understand that, Phin. There's been plenty of posts now on his identity.

I guess my point is that the conversation doesn't make sense. If rg knew pirateat40 was Dr Tech then, why did he use "Dr Trendon" when he was presumably talking about someone other than pirate? Also, why did pirate then attempt to clarify by speaking about Dr Tech in the third person?

I guess only rg can clear that up. I believe that it is possible pirate had purchased a VPS from rg using the pseudonym of "Dr Tech", and that this little exchange between the two of them, while innocuous at the time, reveals now that rg had some sort of financial transaction with Dr Tech, and he's perhaps been quiet about it now that's he's discovered that the Trendon from the Dr Tech is actually pirateat40. Maybe he had some other reason for writing "Dr Trendon" in IRC at the time, though. It's really hard to tell. The conversation seemed to be about who benefited from a drop in BTC price.

The way I read it is that rg is letting Pirate know that he knows who he is via combining DrTech with Trendon Shavers. Then Pirates plays it off with his comment, thus acting dumb.
12720  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Find Trendon Shavers in person thread... [BTCST, BTS&T, pirateat40] on: October 26, 2012, 02:26:50 AM
I do not follow this.  It appears that you have proved that RG new that pirateat40's real name was Trendon, right?

But a lot of people have known that for a very long time.

He knew about it on December 24th, 2011. The chat as a whole is kind of cryptic, but pirate seems to be referring to Dr Tech in the third person, as if no one knew and he wanted to make sure no one knew. I'm not sure what it implies, actually, I'll edit to remove the reference to "slip up" to avoid making any kind of direct accusation.

Reading all of Pirate's posts from the beginning to the following quote, would've provided the earliest clue available to the entire community as to Pirate being Trendon Shavers via Googling, with only 1-2 hops searching averagecitizen.com Whois.

I have two domains I have been holding onto that some of you guys might want or know someone that would.  I really don't know how to price them so entertain me.
