12761  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jews on UK High Court Attempting to Cockblock Brexit on: November 07, 2016, 03:14:51 PM
I dunno about cockblocking, but I cannae believe how woolly the entire process has been and it's something that needs hardened clarification. This court thingy moves towards that.

People didn't vote for a secretive inner circle to have carte blanche over an entire country. They voted for Brexit. It's parliament's right and job to decide what form that takes. People voted for that too.

We are now fully rounded individuals who have been like battered housewives for the last three years, too afraid to express our true feelings. I might grunt approval if we hit $1 mil by Christmas, but probably not.

That's an interesting idea. I think Node was planning on doing that until the developers gave up on life.

But people like exchanges and they like seeing walls to play with. I think that's a major part of the thrill of trading even when the risks of losing your coins are there and it's the overlap from all the different coins that causes the markets to ebb and flow. One pump feeds another. The DAO failure is probably the main factor in XEM's journey to the stars.
12764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 02, 2016, 11:23:04 PM
Gawd, I think I'll be more pleased to see the permanent back of $666 than the arrival of $100,000.
12765  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you really think that? on: November 02, 2016, 10:45:17 PM
Yes. I think there's a real chance. Brexit was the major political earthquake of the year. No reason why it can't happen again. He's appalling but so is Hillary. I think there are many people out there who won't be telling anyone that they'll give him a try but they just might.
12766  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 02, 2016, 10:42:37 PM
Someone sold too early? Kiss

Tera was calling out major falls back in the day while everyone else was blithely trundling along with their high prices and dissing the call. You can't nail it every time but there's some track record there.
12767  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What will gonna happened to the world if Donald trump win? on: November 01, 2016, 10:41:45 PM
It'll be an object lesson in who truly pulls the strings. Governments are filled with behind the scenes lifers. One guy spouting blag against thousands of hardened bureaucrats and vested interests won't achieve very much indeed. He'll be a lame duck, albeit an extremely loud one, before his inauguration's over.
12768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: November 01, 2016, 10:08:05 PM
everybody harvesting knows that most blocks have no transactions....and I do not see a lot of change there,

I guess it is fair to say that the marketcap of NEM can only increase if the network grows faster (=more wallets, more transactionsday)

I think the same goes for almost every single alt out there. New 'users' arrive on exchanges and stay there. They're parking the coins for a bit and then moving them on to the next owner without ever meeting the real chain.

The ones that do have some action in terms of transactions and increasing users are mined in the main.
12769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: October 29, 2016, 02:44:52 PM
One of the distinctive features Xem market was not in his affections of Bitcoin prices.

I don't see how that's possible. Everything's related to Bitcoin when it's still the primary entry point into alts.

NEM as a platform is leagues ahead of most, but it's traded in the same exchanges as everything else where it's just another three letters for pumpers to latch onto. That's what happened.

It'll be in the doldrums for a while like everything else and then perhaps people will start to take a proper look at the fundamentals of what they're putting money into. Cue a justified rise.
12770  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump is just beginning to fight. on: October 23, 2016, 02:47:33 PM
Brexit seems to be his chant of the moment and he may well have something there. I'm sure there are plenty of people who feel like throwing a spanner in the works but aren't going to say it out loud to either pollsters or their nearest and dearest. When you're in the privacy of the voting booth you might spring a surprise.
12771  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Final proof women and blacks should never have been given the vote on: October 23, 2016, 02:44:42 PM
Why is the OP wasting its time on here? It could be out on the campaign trail persuading the laydeez and mud people to vote for it so it can feed them into a mincer on the white house lawn. If the argument is that compelling then let's see you deliver.
12772  Other / Meta / Re: Proactive fighting with spammers. Doing it the right way on: October 22, 2016, 03:47:36 PM
They can start by having a look at this thread.

A ton of posters who can be removed straight away.

My beautiful thread was turned into smoking ruins. It was a genuine question. My curiosity wasn't particularly sated by the quality of the answers.
12773  Other / Meta / Re: Proactive fighting with spammers. Doing it the right way on: October 21, 2016, 08:12:32 PM
The first step towards removing spammers from this forum should be to stop the accounts buying and selling.

I see this suggestion a lot. How would you propose going about doing it? Who is account farming and who is just an occasional and crappy poster?

If account sales were banned on here, they'd simply move to another website and carry on there.

As a thought experiment perhaps all sigs should be shut down for a week or a month just to see how it impacts the forum overall. If enough people realise that prospect is permanent if the tsunami of crap continues, maybe they'd start to shape up.
12774  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump is just beginning to fight. on: October 21, 2016, 07:46:05 PM
Trump is done. The only way he would win is if only white middle aged men could vote lmao.

Considering you can't vote if you've been convicted of something and the American fondness for jailing people of a non cracker ish persuasion, give it a couple more decades and Donald may hobble back into action when there's only creaky old honkies left eligible.
12775  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: i want start cloudmining !!! on: October 21, 2016, 07:28:34 PM
OP, send me your money. At the end of the month I might give you some of it back if I'm in the mood. Otherwise I'll probably keep it. That's a far better offer than you'll get from any investment company and the offer stands. Call me.
12776  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Guardian Down, Possible Hack? on: October 21, 2016, 06:57:05 PM
Down for me in the UK. I assume this is somehow related to the current strife with the wider internet. I can't say I'd miss the Guardian if it was gone forever. It's filled with whining, unworldly pricks whose mission in life is to leave you feeling more guilty for things you have no control over than when you arrived.
12777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is 1000 btc Possible on: October 21, 2016, 06:53:46 PM
It will be incredibly difficult to earn that amount of bitcoins unless you have great experience, skills, and substantial amount of coin already; if you don’t then reaching 1000BTC is close to impossible.

Had you put it 10 BTC each into XEM, XMR and ETH at the start of the year -

XEM - 933 BTC at the peak.

XMR - 200 ish.

ETH - 150 ish.

So 30 would've become nearly 1300. And all you had to do was go to hospital and come out at the right time.

Silly, but possible.
12778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lose all your capital fast, with MatTheCat and his TA 101A! on: October 21, 2016, 06:33:01 PM
The MatDerKater account guy claims he's MatTheCat and that his old account was hacked, but he's refusing to sign a message to prove it. He says Bitcoin will eventually go above $1500. If he really is MatTheCat that's a terrible reverse indicator for Bitcoin's price. We better hope he's an impostor.

I get the feeling he wasn't too savvy when it came to internet security or account security so there won't be an address to sign. He certainly wrote like the man himself. There's no one else here quite that irascible. The 'new' matthecat writes like a typical google translate moron.
12779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The importance of Bitcoin will not be felt by the mainstream until governments.. on: October 21, 2016, 01:44:06 PM
Cashless implies total control. That being the case they could cut access to every bitcoin exchange, buying service and private trader with a few clicks.

Bitcoin would prove why cash is needed. It would also be a prime victim until the fiat out is unnecessary and I'm not sure it ever will be.
12780  Other / Politics & Society / Re: President Duterte announce the seperation in USA on: October 21, 2016, 12:18:29 PM
He's like a Trump but actually in power. I approve of this mischief. He's going to go to some interesting places I think. I'm not sure whether the Filipino people want to come but they don't have much choice.
