1281  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲EOSBet.io - Licensed Casino Platform 🎲Provably Fair 🎲Passive income 🎲 on: February 04, 2019, 02:52:05 PM
an interesting project indeed
I expected more EOS casinos to popup , but it seems that it is easier said than done and there are not many of them at all
especially the ones that offer investment programme, I'm very interested in it
will there be bitcoin investments available ? or is it the purchase tokens- get a profit share model only?
also decentralized model means that my favorite game dice cannot have autobet feature
while smart contracts are good in terms of automated payments, it is not as good if you want to put multiple bets (and even hundreds or thousands of them)
1282  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hodl or Not on: February 04, 2019, 11:27:35 AM
jooj2: Thanks for the info. I'm actually pulling the data from CoinMarketCap API. Can the coin you're checking actually be a token based off a cryptocurrency rather than a coin?

KingScorpio: I take it English isn't your primary language, because you can't really read Smiley Either that or you're trying to troll. Can't tell. I guess the world will never know. In simple words for you: It's a fun project created in a day or two, not a serious entrepreneur tool. I don't aim to charge anyone for anything there. But I'm repeating myself. But it probably doesn't matter because you won't be able to read that far and say it's bad entrepreneurship again. Smiley

fun project?

i thought you were serious and i took you serious and tried to help you

wow you gave this guy a lot of flak, haha
it is not monetized in any way or neither it is a tool to "influence the market " as you put it
its a fun website and yeah, do not take it too seriously
like Freud used to say, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar Smiley

1283  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: *** Online Jobs to Earn Cryptocurrency *** on: February 04, 2019, 10:06:13 AM
As someone who is a freelancer, my first 2 bets would be the services section + the appropriate reddit cats.

Other than that, you can try some of the freelancer sites but I haven't had much luck w/ them TBH.

reddit section is a good place to start:
https://www.reddit.com/r/jobs4bitcoins
can try this site: https://crypto.jobs/
also posting your resume at different forums  and specific freelance sites like:

https://freeeup.com/
https://www.cryptogrind.com/
https://www.xbtfreelancer.com/
https://coinality.com/

helps, although you would need some set of skills other than typing

1284  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Does a Legal Adviser make an ICO more "legal" and free from scams? on: February 04, 2019, 08:47:59 AM
What are the core team members and advisers you're looking at when judging on ICO? Does a reputable legal adviser change an overall picture? How can you check on their reputation?

a legal adviser is all good and dandy, but you have to understand that if the project is designed to scam you
it would do everything to pretend legit and hiring a legal adviser is one of the steps to do so
on the other hand , it costs money and most of the scam and "destined to fail" projects save on everything
so the presence of a legal adviser could be a factor, bit not the deciding one
one of the fresh examples- the first blockchain MMORPG ICO called Lordmancer II had a good team of advisers
yet they announced the project is closing and now their tokens are  worthless
in this case it is rather the project failure rather than scam, but legal advisers didn't help in any way
1285  Economy / Gambling / Re: "New" CRYPTOXBNB gambling and trading site on: February 04, 2019, 08:11:19 AM
I signed up today on this "New" gambling site which offer a Free 0.2 btc when you use a promocode. You have to play the roulette atleast once to withdraw your earnings. And so I did, but when i tried to withdraw my balance it says that I need to make a minimum deposit of 0.01 btc to be able to withdraw my balance. Which I didn't do just to be safe.

I research about this website but unfortunately I can't find any information about it. Does anyone heard about this new gambling site? Is this legit?

you cannot be serious?
are you asking if a site that offers you 0.2 btc for free and then asks to deposit 0.01 btc to withdraw is legit?
if you look up  scam, this site would be the definition  Grin
for future reference, any website that offers "free" rididculous amounts of money and then asks you to deposit something to be able to withdraw is a scam
use simple logics and do not let greed cloud your judgement
1286  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Gambling] Etherdice.io - Provably Fair Dice Game - Exchange [Gambling] on: February 04, 2019, 05:41:51 AM
metamask installation is required to play, should mention it somewhere on the site
an interesting idea with the investment option implemented in the contract itself
I would love  a better explanation of your provably fair system
from your FAQ: Etherdice.io picks a secret random number and provides you with its hash
how does it pick a secret number, how is it hashed ,with what algorythm etc.
and while onchain dice game is cool and all, a dice game without autobet is a nono for me
and its impossible to create an onchain game with an autobet feature, sadly
1287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The price of Bitcoin is going down because the price is going down, on: February 03, 2019, 11:32:14 AM
Nothing goes up in life, dollar value, salary, income, food price, smart phone price, everything going down. The doomsday is near.

many things are going up: prices, inflation, retirement age
the doomsday is near indeed, but bitcoin price going down is not something unpredicatble
we have been in a bear trend for months, can't see it changing in the near future
1288  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-29] Bitcoin Price Falls Below $3.4K On Downward Trend 'D-Day' on: February 03, 2019, 09:58:47 AM
There are so many market analysts that inevitably some of them make right predictions only we never know in advance which ones are going to be true. I'm longing for the times when all of those analysts are treated as astrologers or as gamblers that won several times and share their "winning strategies" as if they cracked the code. They even try to sell their strategies in some cases. What a pitiful sight they are.

I call them Investopedia experts.

They see a pattern forming in Bitcoin's market, relate that to one of the articles they read on Investopedia, and immediately assume that's what will be happening, lol. It's so funny how all these experts can't follow the simple rules of a bear market and that the trend is your friend, and more importantly, that you don't bet against it.

It totally wouldn't surprise me if turns out that these entities are behind a lot of signal groups. It's so easy to set up a couple of these group and scoop up money from fools not knowing how to trade themselves. It's basically an easy way to spread risks; whenever one signal group turns out to be shit, purely based on luck, another one might be extremely profitable and that one will make people hardcore shill it and attract even more fools.

an interesting theory about the signal groups
I know for sure that many of the betting tipsters are using this shady startegy in sports betting to sell premium tips
i.e. create dozens of capper's accounts and then bet on the same events but different outcomes, then leave the ones that got lucky and got results in a row right
then just try to sell "premium tips" packages  , something on a larger scale could be happening here as well

1290  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-01-30] Not Over Yet: Cryptopia Hacked Again, over $180,000 Worth of ETH Mi on: February 02, 2019, 05:42:23 PM
I'm so not going to read this. Didn't even read the full details of the hack a fortnight ago, because this name is now forever going to be associated with terminal mismanagement and negligence. How do the same hackers steal AGAIN in 2 weeks?

P.S. Isn't it New Zealand based and not Switzerland? I've always known them as a Kiwi exchange. I know last year they were bought over by new management but it still remained NZ, since it was providing support for that NZ stablecoin.

Same here, when I read Cryptopia is based in Switzerland and figure they can't even publish correct information I am not going to read anything. And yeah Cryptopia is a Kiwi platform. This blog is often telling wrong information like this one.
There is truly a lack of management, reaction. When you struggle with the hack the first step is to stop everything and to protect the platform to not suffer more damage

yup, Coindol is being Coindol again with the incorrect info and their writers not checking the facts
some of their articles are plain contradicting their older articles, for example the ones about Italy
one day they are totally anti bolckchain and innovations, next article the government sets a special fund to promote blockchain and cryptocurencies etc.
as for the "hack" it was just the users who can't read and kept sending their coins to the compromised addies

1291  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto Exchange QuadrigaCX Missing $145 Mln After Death of Founder on: February 02, 2019, 05:13:58 PM
this raises the legal question of  how can the bitcoin private keys be inherited in case of death
surely only one person holding the private keys for 145$ mil worth of coins is a security breach of big proportions
probably after some time they could be found on some of his devices or this is going to be a very very bad news for the exchange's customers
one more reason to never store your coins on an exchange

I kindly request Duckdice Admin. Possible from your side to even refund only last deposit my son did. At least I can pay to Max parents. Rest amount I will repay gradually to my relative brother. It is disaster for me.

Wtf is wrong with you you spammed your shit in the last couple of pages of the topic. Grow some balls and accept the loss. You can't always make excuses for your stupid actions, you have to learn the hard way this time. You are not going to get a satoshi back from duckdice. If every casino was doing that there wouldn't be any casinos in the business you noob.

not only that
he also managed to spam every inbox of the people who posted in the topic
as much as I can sympathize with his situation, I hate unsolicited spam in my inbox
especially asking to "find a free lawyer to help get money back"
move on, your son will remember this lesson for the rest of his life, hopefully
1294  Economy / Gambling / Re: MavenBets doesn't process my withdraw since December, beware!! on: February 02, 2019, 11:58:20 AM
Don't you hate it when owners of gambling sites do this, totally ruins the online gambling experience for players. I'm thinking of creating a "wall of shame" on our site. Who can send me a list of Bitcoin gambling sites which committed fraud?

we certainly hate it
there are several specialized sites that monitor scam sites, you can go to this one for example:
https://www.badbitcoin.org/
the best thing is that you can leave a report and after they check it, the site in question is added to the list
granted, I would not take it as the final criteria to judge if the site is a scam or not , but they are pretty good at marking them shrewd scammers straight away

I had completely forgotten about the badbitcoin site! Thank you for reminding me. I think this case is a lost cause/closed case and I no longer expect to get my money and/or to get a response from MavenBets.com on any of the related topics. I will proceed to give bad trust, but also want to say that if MavenBets.com decides at any point to process my withdraw after all, bad trust will be replaced with good trust and a transaction ID of the withdraw will be posted on all topics to confirm and verify the fact that they would pay. Also badbitcoin site would be requested to remove the site.

Thank you for the help of everybody involved, and make love, not war! <3 :-)

no worries, good to see you are not taking it too close to heart Smiley
while 260k satoshi is money still, it is not something I would lose my sleep over
hope you will get your withdrawal processed , but mavenbets kinda ruined their reputation over 10$
1295  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | ETH & LTC Accepted! 👽 on: February 02, 2019, 11:39:46 AM

Again using adblock saves about 95%+ of your troubles but nobody "deserves" a bad thing happen to them just because they are not technologically up to date on the precautions they can take. We as people who know them should help them to learn it instead of mock them for not knowing it.

In 2019 after more than 20 years passed since the internet became mainstream, yes you can't afford to use a PC without adblock. This is not even debatable. I know not every person is tech savy but ffs don't they get uncomfortable for watching ads on youtube for friggin 10 seconds in the middle of a fckn video? This is worse than a torture to me. I can't believe how someone can use a pc like this.

They know how to use goddamn facebook, instagram, WhatsApp and most people who doesn't use adblock use those shitty mainstream services pretty well. All they need is to type "how to block ads" on google and they will immediately find adblock as the first result. Google makes it very easy for us;)

That's why I said they deserve it. You can still afford to be stupid in 2019 but not that stupid. It gives me pain to watch those people.

If you use adblock or any other type of ad blocking browser plugin the website will return a message saying to "Please disable adblock and try our site again".

The ads won't load with adblock and you won't get your tiny faucet.

Adblock is generally good for regular surfing but those websites that force you to view ads, they use a script that detects when you don't see the ad and it doesn't let you proceed further.

it is called antiadblock and most of the paid faucet scripts have it preinstalled
well the  faucet owners have to make money somehow
I agree that it is a waste of time, but many people started their journey with bitcoin from faucets
same with the casinos, faucets are good to give players the taste of the game , but there is a thin line between marketing and getting abused by multiaccounts and bots
think Stake had to decrease their faucet at some point due to the bots leaching on their faucet 24/7
1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I own 1 full Bitcoin!! on: February 01, 2019, 05:24:25 PM
will join in on the congratulationss, well done!
welcome to the club and lets hope your investment will make you rich in the years to come
now it was a wise thing to do to put it away and lock for a few years, this way you do not have to worry about the price fluctuations
maybe the market goes down some more , so you could add one more to your stash  Wink
1297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reports of bitcoin environmental damage are garbage on: February 01, 2019, 04:50:23 PM
just one of the things to try to discredit bitcoin which is false
like "bitcoin is used by criminals" stigma , while in reality it is just a fraction of what fiat money figures are
I liked the keep coke bottles chill comment, pretty much true
there are things  that we spend electricity on without thinking but we do not claim it is damaging environment
think of all the netflix movies we watch at home and all the electricity our TVs are using =netflix is damaging environment  Cheesy
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Run for 1 BTC - 60 days betting contest on: February 01, 2019, 04:09:32 PM
interesting, this section lacked topics like this
gambling and betting on sports, somehow there are not many cappers posting their picks
only some lame attempts to sell their tips for extraorbitant prices or pro tipsters who disappear after a day or two of losing 75% of their banks
I wish you good luck on your run, but I do not think betting all in on every bet would get you to 1 bitcoin
no matte rthe odds there will always be this 1.02x event that goes south and you are sitting and asking yourself
how on earth could Andorra draw with Scotland, haha
in any case, following your thread, lets hope you get your 1 bitcoin goal in the end
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: TossCoin - good luck game on: February 01, 2019, 03:53:29 PM
All of gambling games required luck and no exceptions about that but since this is new site people still looking around to find the feedback but smart contract address showing there is no players since several days ago because there is no upcoming transactions since that and probably because the concept of the game is too simple people not too interested to play
There are very few players because we haven't advertised the game yet Wink
We are thinking about marketing. By the way, can you suggest the right way?

it depends on your budget, really
the right way would be investing in marketing when your product is ready and you are confident it will sell
i.e. you spend 1000$ on promotion and you get 1000$++ worth of customers to your site - in your case gamblers who deposit money and play
the easiest way would be buying targeted ads with one of the bitcoin ad sites, it won't cost you an arm and leg
and will send you an initial wave of people to see how is your site doing retentionwise
start with mellowads or anonymous ads, for example, buy 0.03 bitcoin worth of ads and check the google stats
alternatively, you can post on bitcoin and gambling forums, similar topic as you have here
this will be free but very time consuming, but a forum post like this is a very effective anchor link that will be bringing people to your site for quite some time
there are many ways to market, think about a promotion for the forum users, to try the game  for free, a promotion code, a contest etc.
be creative

Google made a deal with adblock long time ago Smiley so they do not block some of the ads
I use ublock instead and pretty happy with it
and I'm with you on ads inside youtube videos, I turned ublock once and instantly regretted it
one guy managed to put twelve ads in a 6 minute video, jeez
