I have 4 original 1970 newspapers from the first lunar landing. Interestingly, the pictures on the front page are actually artists renditions. The reason, if you think about it, is that they brought back high resolution camera film and movie footage. But they could not transmit it, except at the then-current-technology 320x240 dot analog color and black/white formats. This would not print on newspaper, therefore they had artists do the work. Another refutation is the actual imagrery of the Apollo landing sites, the tracks of the rovers, and the footsteps of the astronauts by the LRO in 2009-2010. A really comprehensive test of 'basics' of Islam would be edifying and useful for understanding current conflicts - such an exercise wouldn't necessarily involve knowing Quran chapter (sura) and verse, but would consist of defining fundamental doctrinal concepts, how Islam differs from other Abrahamic faiths, key dates/events in Mohammed's life, vocabulary/terms, and historical milestones, demographics.
Maybe I'll devise one.
A good place to start would be "Was Sayyad Qutb someone whose teachings should be followed?" Then if the answer is Yes, jail them. That about sums up what anyone actually needs to know about Islam. |

Whistle-blowers are generally protected under federal law. Therefore it would be illegal for anyone to retaliate against them for producing evidence against the IRS. Also once the evidence is released the "damage" would have been done to the Obama administration and testimony would generally not be necessary, so faking his suicide would do little for president Obama We could also say something like "The IRS does not GENERALLY lose emails and have important computers crash" but drawing a conclusion from that would be ridiculous, since the case involves purposeful breaking of the rules and the law. The best advise is to simply decline to answer any questions, and to keep anything that you would not want a police officer to see in plain view (including money). If they ask to search your car then you should withhold consent and this should stop the vast majority of issues.
There was an article in the Washington Post this week that talked about how much money local governments were making from these kinds of warrant-less seizures .
Declining to answer any questions will immediately set off a red flag that your trying to hide something. That is how a cop would likely try to interpret it if you ask me. I don't like how paranoid many cops are, they will look for anything they feel is not normal to harass you. Profiling people and treating them like criminals before proven guilty is not their job, it is to protect and serve. If their being trained to act this way something needs to change and that change needs to come from the higher ranking officers. If a cop shoots and kills someone the immediate reaction is the victim must have done something to deserve it. What kind of message is that going to send to cops? It's that they literally have a license to kill, which is beyond terrifying for anybody with a pulse. History shows us that people in positions of authority are in the best position to do the most damage yet our society tends to accept all the corruptions and power grabbing. It won't keep us safe that is for sure so people better get used to being walked on and treated like crap by a bunch of paranoid poorly trained "peace officers". I disagree. A cop is a public servant and should be spoken to as such. Politely and respectfully decline to be treated like a child/criminal and do not consent to be questioned, searched or give away your rights in any other way. Unless they can see evidence of a crime in plain view (or if there is a warrant outstanding for you) then they have no right to search your nor your property (including your car).
