1301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Behavioural signs that suggest you are Addicted to Gambling on: May 31, 2023, 02:25:57 PM
What are you saying, of course I don't argue with that, those five signs can indeed be said to be the cause of someone being addicted to gambling.

But if you examine more deeply the factors, the reasons why someone can be addicted, of course there are many things that can be mentioned again, maybe there are hundreds of reasons someone can get addicted to gambling, depending on the individual and the way they are involved in the world of gambling.

As gambling addiction can be a challenging issue that can have a very harmful impact on an individual's life. it is always recommended to find a professional helpb rather struggling with it.
Maybe it's a good idea to do, but it's a shame, many of the users are involved in gambling, they do not want to consult about gambling with a professional, instead they prefer to hide and cover up their gambling, what's more nowadays, gambling sites are easily accessible on the internet and without anyone knowing, that's a disease of today's society.

1303  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 31, 2023, 01:31:22 PM
Are you one of those who agree or refuse to fill out kyc on gambling sites? So far, the Kyc that you have filled in on the gambling site is safe? I've never had a problem with the Kyc that I filled out at the gambling site. Have you ever felt cheated from Kyc submitted?
Whether or not KYC is safe depends on the online casino and the recipient of user data, if you say it's safe it's definitely safe and if you say it's not safe it's definitely not safe, it all depends on the casino operator in storing the KYC of their users who bet on their gambling platform.

However, personally, I definitely don't believe in the KYC system/features, I really don't like sharing my personal identity, especially in online casinos, Bottom line: I am currently happy to bet and gamble on online casinos that don't require KYC, after all I'm not a billionaire bettor, I bet as much as I can, but the gambling sites that I have bet on so far have not had any problems with withdrawals.

My understanding KYC does not guarantee someone is 100% safe after they do kyc, there are many ways casinos reason, if they don't want to return the user's money that wins and bets.

1306  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 30, 2023, 04:49:00 PM
So yes, would you consider moving abroad for a better future? Would you try to find a way to stay in your country, either through online work or by accessing all possible opportunities?
There are many things that must be considered if someone wants to live in another country, living in another country is not as easy as we think, if it's only to work as a maid/servant it's useless, except for developing a business, maybe it's ok, I think right now it's not the right solution to think about living in another country with a deteriorating world economic situation, only certain countries have no impact on the current deteriorating economy.

Actually life in their own country is better than living in another country, if they know how to live, of course we are not talking about people who work in the government, say self-employed, but if I think about it if we have the skills to do it, good enough to be developed in their own country, apart from being useful for other people, of course with the expertise we have we can boost the economy at least for the employees we hire or we mentor, for this reason, currently there are many programs being carried out by the government for those who have the expertise to revive the deteriorating economy as it is today.
1307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: May 30, 2023, 01:49:14 PM
your physician asks you to undergo hypnosis to cure your deep-rooted addiction, will you allow it

Yes / No Why
As far as I know Hypnosis, only lasts as long as the hypnotist is near us, say 2-3 hours, after that those who are hypnotized will regain consciousness, now if I consider that reason, obviously hypnosis is not the best solution to use for those addicted to gambling, we know, maybe there are quite a lot of hypnotists in this world, but I have never seen them directly cure gambling addicts, the final solution is rehabilitation which I often see.

From the article you featured I found one conclusion about hypnosis and gambling addiction.
Example:
Quote
IMPORTANT NOTE: As far as hypnosis is concerned, gambling addiction doesn’t technically fall within the medical model. Before you agree to work with someone suffering with gambling addiction, you might be wise to check with a lawyer to find out what the law is in your particular area.

My understanding for the quote above, does not guarantee 100% to cure gambling addicts by means of hypnosis, risk.
1308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 30, 2023, 01:27:15 PM
Anyone here is successful doing a long shot bet? A point were you can be satisfied without considering your bankroll status and just pure fun on gambling experience?
I'm not consistent for long-term betting, besides I don't combine strategies in betting, especially about financial management, to be honest I find it difficult to do bankroll management in betting on online gambling sites, moreover doing win and lose limits for me personally, it really makes me think long and hard.

Basically I bet on online gambling sites, based on fun by placing a small budget, winning and losing is not a big problem for me, let alone do win/lose limits, besides the betting bankroll that I have is not too strong to bet on and I am not a disciplined or professional bettor in gambling, for that I sometimes gamble in an emotional state, in essence I bet on the basis of pleasure and experience only.

1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crazy Sports Betting Idea on: May 29, 2023, 02:33:19 PM
At least sport bettors should have the pleasure of making these kind of bets too. I know it sounds crazy but that's what has been on my mind. Do you think it is feasible? Do you think sports bookies will incorporate this type of betting?
I don't know, what would happen if every online bookie had an idea like that, I personally don't know all football league managers, especially the English league and so on, plus the Spanish, Saudi Arabia, Italian, etc.

Maybe, if that kind of bet happens, obviously we have to see all the data managers in the whole league, I think it's a little boring, but if it really happens how to make a bet for them.

Whether, the manager is staying or the one being sacked during the league season, confused as well if such a bet happens, it's absolutely as crazy as the topic title.
1311  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-05-25] Forbes: Elon Musk Issued A Stark Crypto Warning After $2 Trillion.. on: May 29, 2023, 02:12:48 PM
The words of rich people are difficult to predict accurately, indeed the press about Elon Musk has always been the talk of internet citizens around the world, today he said A, maybe tomorrow he will do B, rich man......!

If I personally (devil) with the press circulating about Elon Musk, whether he wants to buy Crypto or not, it doesn't matter, Crypto develops in the crypto market not because of Elon it happens from year to year, he bought doge yesterday, crypto is still at new ATH, this time he wants to buy or not ATH is still happening.

Not much of a news, but still a press hit from the main stream - Elon Musk says that perhaps buying crypto would be unwise.
he said this, because he was fed up with the results obtained at the doge a few years ago, for that he dared to say it, in fact he had summarized: List of Top 6 tokens that will have Elon’s attention in 2023.
1312  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Happyminer real? on: May 29, 2023, 01:40:26 PM
I do not want to go on a journey to waste my time with it. I need your help on it. Has anyone used this site before? Is it real?
Lately there have been lots of new mining platforms that have cash out and can be used immediately and can be done via cellphone, generally a new platform that has emerged Bitcoin mining, xrp and doge, but not a few lead to scam business, so be very careful before using a new mining platform.

I've read and seen about a mining platform called Happyminer.us and I've never used the application, after I read the reviews below.

Happyminer.us Review - Is Happy miner Legit Or Scam.

OP, maybe you need to see a little about their reviews first, before using the Happyminer.us site, for your consideration, see there are a lot of red flags than green flags, everything is your own decision, I can only show what is there.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stop gambling addiction? on: May 29, 2023, 01:12:09 PM
if you have reached this point, it is very difficult to be able to stop gambling. How to stop gambling? Meanwhile, a lot of money has been lost, and how to return the lost money.
If you still have a smartphone in it, there are several online gambling sites, of course it's difficult to stop gambling, except: you completely delete all online gambling sites that are in your smartphone.

Actually addiction lies in ourselves in response to it, in my opinion if you haven't had time to sell your house, car, land and so on to spend on online gambling, In my opinion, this does not include severe addiction, you can still manage to stop playing online gambling, the point is that your determination and self-will to stop gambling still have a good chance.

However, if you ask about returning money lost in bets, the answer is difficult 99% there is no way, gambling is clearly the risk of losing. Losing money is in the 80 degree position.
1314  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run near already? on: May 28, 2023, 02:47:56 PM
And those that haven’t bought bitcoin, does this signify that they need to necessitate buying some now before it’ll be too late?
Maybe, I've been reading a lot of developments about Bitcoin speculation and predictions lately from experienced crypto experts, they say 2023 comes only once, opportunity only once, think and do it's a good move for Bitcoin.

From those words, I take one conclusion, this year is not the year of the bull, but now the best Bitcoin buying move, the bull market will happen, either 24,25 or 26, what is certain is that it all depends on ourselves in taking policy, I believe that some speculations are true and some are nonsense, which is definitely a wide open opportunity to do the best for Bitcoin at this time.

Only those who are brave, committed and confident win every time in the crypto world, cowards always lose and are haunted by regret.
1315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 28, 2023, 02:14:53 PM
I'm asking out of curiosity, are you guys experiencing a surge of gambling ads on youtube videos lately?
In general, as far as I know youtube, tiktok etc. it's a little strange with the ads that appear, what we often watch, that's what often comes out, sometimes the ads are annoying, but it is a must and obligation for the YouTube Channel, because the money flows from the ads.

Gambling advertisements, indeed they often appear on YouTube, TikTok etc., because I think that advertising is a part of YouTube, so I ignore it, I often ignore these gambling advertisements, but I didn't count in one round of the video how many gambling advertisements came out, what is clear is that gambling advertisements often appear.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Ivan Toney's Case and You on: May 28, 2023, 01:59:45 PM
As you are reading this, it's quite common for many of us to have a friend or family member similar to Ivan. How did you become aware that your friend is struggling with gambling addiction, and what actions have you taken to help them to over it?
From the articles I read, it is clear, @Ivan Toney is addicted to gambling at a high level, it is evident from the quote below.

Quote
"The lack of control the player has in respect of gambling is clearly a reflection of his diagnosed gambling addiction. The position appears to be that Mr Toney has ceased gambling on football although he still gambles on other sports and casino games.

Maybe, I don't have friends like @Ivan Toney, in the world of gambling, my friends gamble just like I gamble, no heavy addiction, so for now I'm not too bothered to advise my friends to bet, they understand under any circumstances when betting, normally there is no action of madness.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: May 28, 2023, 01:41:41 PM
So what do you think about the list of instructions stated by the article, are they good enough to keep a person to have an edge against the gambling platform?
In my understanding, gambling is like a driver, no matter how good a person's strategy they have in driving, they definitely have a god-level strategy/skill, if they have gone onto the road, they have to follow all the rules and conditions of the road while on the way, that's like someone risking everything in gambling.

The 11 styles that you mentioned and written in the article, indeed it is an obligation for someone who wants to bet on gambling, money, choices, focus and so on, all of that goes hand in hand with those who bet, if I'm not mistaken in understanding it, the 11 suggestions above cannot guarantee that they or we have a perfect strategy.

For me gambling is someone who wants to get good results and win, I think it doesn't escape from the experience they have, the more often they bet, the chance to improve their strategy is more perfect.
1318  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Asking CTO Jussi-Pekka Erkkilä about the exit scam of his company Localbitcoins. on: May 27, 2023, 06:36:43 PM

1319  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Choosing a cryptocurrency pair on: May 27, 2023, 02:07:35 PM
Share your experiences with different cryptocurrency pairs
Even with a good or bad ending
In general we often see and people talk about, whether here or on the internet / google, they often talk about cryptocurrency pairs in trading they always take the top 10 types of crypto in: https://coinmarketcap.com/, it is commonly done by crypto trading actors.

Of course, everyone has their own partner in terms of trading, to be honest if you ask me for sure, I only use and have only three types of crypto in trading, (1). Bitcoins (2).Ethereum (3). BNB, those are the three types of crypto that I always use in crypto trading, nothing else.
1320  Other / Meta / Re: DdmrDdmr is surprising for meriting posts on: May 27, 2023, 01:47:37 PM
@DdmrDdmr, has talked and told a lot in his own thread, entitled: 1221 posts merited (by me) in just under 21 minutes–What's got over me? (v 36.0).

Explanation @DdmrDdmr.

<…>
What I did was prepare a list of the last post I merited per active 2019 profile (at the time). That gave me 256 posts from distinct users to re-merit, although the toll was 250 in the end since 6 were deleted posts. The lists was pretty easy to draft up from my merit DB (if anyone wants a similar one I can provide it). That was the easy part.
I then used a Firefox addon called Open Multiple URL and started the mechanical process of pasting batches of 10 to 15 URLs to the addon (it opens one URL per tab), meriting each post, and closing the tab. Sometimes an opened URL would give and error message (for trying to query Bitcointalk too many times in a short period of time), and I’d have to refresh the tab to get to the post. Pretty manual that part.

The overall idea was to re-merit profiles I had merited before, and since I tend to perform mainly 1 sMerit TXs, it would seem fair and conceptually similar to being a bit more generous for once …

<…>
0,2K (started off with an eighth part of that, but upgraded during some Merit Source adjustment procedure).

This is a good idea I have 323 merits still sitting I will go back to people I gave 1 merit and bump them.
Using my same exact criteria, I make it 146 people you would re-merit (profile active in 2019 and selecting each one’s last merited post). I can provide you the list if you want (in a Google SpreadSheet or alike).

<…>
I’d still take human over artificial … for now …

Version 2.0  - 19/07/2019 ( 278 profiles merited (by me) in 30 minutes)

I gave it a rethink, and have decided to go on a second sMerit awarding spree from my personal batch. As before, my intention was to re-merit some posts that I had already merited previously (thus no need for me to review the post’s content) in order to get rid of my personal sMerits in a coherent manner. Since I normally award sMerits in TX of 1 (for the most), this allows me to lose my close to Ebenezer Scrooge complex when awarding sMerits, for a short interval of time at least.

I have currently merited 513 different profiles. Since my personal sMerit batch is a bit under 300, I’ve had to trim the candidates to something reasonable.

Criteria (based on merit data as of this morning):
Award an additional sMerit to the last merited post (by me) of any profile that also meets:
-   The last post merited by me has only been merited once by me (this allows me to not re-merit a same post both on spree v 1.0 and spree v 2.0).
-   Regardless of the rank.
-   The post was posted in 2019.
-   The post has not received more than 10 sMerits, adding up all those received from anybody.

That trimmed my list of candidate posts from 513 to 286, which fits my sMerit budget. Eventually, it was down to 278 posts that I merited, since 8 were either deleted or on ignore. I was faster this time than last time ...

P.D. Holidays will leave me on halt for a week or so now.

@DdmrDdmr, human is just like you OP, only he uses some special futur taps to waste S-merit.
