1321  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM][SPAM] User "bitcoinicon" selling corrupted Bitcoin wallet on: August 09, 2017, 12:49:35 PM
This guy left a very weird negative feedback today for me
"I have since been offered reputation services to the cost of $4000 to clear my Bitcoin talk name" and referenced this topic.
Now I have him on the ignore list since he was annoying, but I see no one offering him any services here...
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Projects with their own decentralized exchanges? on: August 09, 2017, 10:46:11 AM
There aren't very many of them, but plenty of smaller altcoins have Bisq (a decentralized exchange) listed as a primary exchange. Bisq pretty much adds any altcoin that people request, so there are hundreds of them by now.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for a country to block bitcoins (or even the whole cryptos) on: August 09, 2017, 10:36:24 AM
No its not possible.we can use VPN proxy for change IP and can easily use those site.its never possible to stop using bitcoin by only stooping block website. In my country Porno video is not allowed so government block all website (porn site)but here people using VPN,proxy for watching porn videos. so its very easy to use block chain and using bitcoin.

Yes, you can get around blocks, but the thing is that if the government was to force ISP's block addresses of major exchanges and required protocols it would hinder the whole system in that country enough for it all to just remain within the grasp of those technologically savvy. And let's face it, even without any extra hurdles BTC is still somewhat hard concept for the layman to understand and use, so even a small distortion could have great negative impact.

You would be surprised how many people in China use VPNs and Tor. Usually everyone has someone to set it up for them, since you only need to set it up once. It is just like when people don't know how to use cracks for programs and video games or even torrents. They just ask someone who knows. It really isn't that hard, is isn't programing or nothing needing skill or education, it is a normal function of an OS. Same as people setup WiFi or anything else that is not an everyday task.

I'm buyer of wallet.dat, today I have received email from bitcoinicon and he informed me about the bad news, he was in shocked but I was also in shocked due to this bad news, bitcoinicon sent my payment back to me, I want to say he is cooperative person and thank you so much. Smiley

Your username is a full name which is kind of unusual to say the least. Also it is a female name, not that I think they don't get in to the Bitcoin, just that of hundreds of people I know in Bitcoin, none of them are woman, so it is less then 1%. And you were not reluctant to give a positive feedback. I don't want to be rude, but you really aren't bright bitcoinicon. I am very serious, you are quite below average. I would be quite concerned if I were you.
1325  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: August 08, 2017, 08:54:18 PM
No, but i respect what other believe.

I believe that you shouldn't respect what other believe. Do you respect my beliefs?
1326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unstoppable on: August 08, 2017, 08:45:11 PM
Don't get your hopes up.
All it takes is a swift move by the government and say bye bye to Bitcoin.
They have the power to block any website and confiscate servers.
There is nothing we can do to stop them, but protest (if it happens).
I don't think it will, but like I said don't get your hopes up!

You should learn about torproject.org
Bitcoin is very well tested over Tor and built to work with it well. Governments tried to block a lot of stuff, but it doesn't work. Torrents survived, so did Tor. China does these things all the time, but it just gets people to learn about anti-censorship tech. There is really no way to stop people from talking to each other in an efficient manner.

And when it comes to regulations, Bitcoin doesn't need them, it can surpass them and will not stop it from growing and taking over. Besides, governments are regulated by people themselves, they do something that people really don't like and off with the heads. Democracy pretty much won the world by now, more to do still, but hey, it is getting there and Bitcoin is helping quite a lot.
1327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unstoppable on: August 08, 2017, 01:35:51 PM
Nothing can stop bitcoin will continue to rise and rise no one knows where it is, 3 to 4 more years may be beyond everyone's expectations.

That's everyone's wish but we should all be prepared for unforeseen circumstances and some price tumbling here and there so that we don't panic and sell but will rather hold on to our coins and only sell in due time.

Why ever sell? You need some life savings man. If you believe in Bitcoin then you should plan and push to use it one day, just like people use fiat now. If Bitcoin achieves it's goal you will not need to sell it for fiat Cheesy
1328  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2017, 01:31:11 PM
PoS is problematic on many levels and is extremely hard to deploy. Research on the topic is also scarce.

Miners have been shown to be problematic towards the long term health of bitcoin.

A more interesting point is how the bitcoin community lost the thought/research leadership in this area which is a real harm and probably more dangerous in the long term than most people think.

and how it could be dangerous?

Early adopters control the system forever. All the problems of centralization apply. One point of failure and all that.

Too bad I can't ignore the quoted replies from this guy. It is still weird to me that he is replying to me, when I don't usually see what he says. These treats are very pathetic. I always laugh at first, but then I just feel sorry for him since he is so pathetic thinking someone would be afraid of him, what a moron.
1330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unstoppable on: August 08, 2017, 01:20:27 PM
Every uptrend has a end, if u can go out befor it Drops under ur pruchase Price its okey, problem u cant read Bitcoin Chart like an normal Chart on stockexchange, and another Problem its not forbidden to manipulate(and whales can do it easy), and bc u all say Banks suck and goverment etc. etc. Yes they do some shit too and sometimes scam us all, but on the other side they protect u from even harder scams.
Like it happens here, and again a non regulated System  fucks poor peopels even harder.

And another Thing is, this massive gains make "the hated" goverment watch at Bitcoin more and more closely, and when they regulate it ( they allready talk about it in eu and us), all the rich peopels which wanted to scam the poor ones will leave Bitcoin( they dont want a regulated system with rules bc they dont get richer with it that easy)
Then Bitcoin can be a normal payment method, but its not worth that much anymore and will not pumb and dumb like hell.

"Government protects us from even bigger scams." Cheesy You sound like someone that is paying protection money for mafia.
That is what they will tell you, because they need you to be scared. But if you are smart, no one can trick you. You don't need their regulations, just use your head, don't let others be smart for you, because they will just use you, like they do.

Let them regulate it. Let those who are afraid to leave. We don't want them here in the first place. But making speculations on how many people will leave and how much money they have is a fool's job. Think about the long term, that is only thing that makes sense to predict. Is Bitcoin worth it's market cap, will it grow, do you think it is a useful and secure system, better then fiat? That is a question you should be concerned about. The rest is just fears and greed and in the end, no one can hurt you if you don't let them, not in the big picture. Be concerned about your part, not about other's.
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unstoppable on: August 08, 2017, 01:10:00 PM
You shouldn't get it to the Bitcoin if you want to get rich. You should get in it if you are willing to use it as a currency, to get paid in it, to sell stuff for it and to buy stuff with it. If you think that there is too much people that will dump it, then calculate it in the price and buy and sell it for what you think it is worth. If no one is willing to sell you something for what you think it is worth in BTC, then don't buy it, if no one is willing to pay you what you think your work is worth in BTC then don't do that job.

Everything is calculated in the price, the risk and everything else. If you don't agree, then that is fine, set your own rates. Same for fiat. It is ok for you to trade, everything is a trade and nothing is risk free. Countries go into hyperinflation, into bailouts, that is why Bitcoin was created in the first place. It was used by the people who believed in Bitcoin more then in the government. This all happened before BTC was making people rich, but it grew in price regardless, more and more people believed in Bitcoin. There is certainly people who will just pump and dump, there are people like that in every currency and everything of value. The percentage of these people is arguable in every currency and every stock. This is not just Bitcoin.

So you shouldn't buy anything that you don't think is worth it, just because you predict it will grow in price. All predictions are risky, you shouldn't bet on it.

There ware many cases when fiat went useless, governments don't last forever. Dollar won't either. Sooner or later every fiat falls and new one rises. Dollar was worth a lot more once. But inflation is killing it and if the country needs more, they will print more and dollar will fall even more, as it happens all the time. They gave money to the banks, they fund wars. Their currency is a lot worse then Bitcoin. Bitcoin acts as a currency a lot better then any fiat, it is small tho, so outside influences can affect it too much, but it changing all the time, for the better. More people accept Bitcoin as payment, more people pay people with it. That is it's true value and it grows.
1332  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: August 08, 2017, 11:44:02 AM
I believe in God, when I was young, I see some strange things can not be explained with science, where to see is to believe in God, by the way, my family all believe in God. Smiley

Maybe you are just not a good scientist Cheesy "It was all done with magic" doesn't sound like a good explanation to me...
1333  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake Bitcoin? on: August 08, 2017, 11:41:25 AM
Initially I was hoping for a proof of stake Bitcoin as well. But then I realized that the best path for Bitcoin would be to move towards useful proof of stake, where the computations help the world somehow (like Gridcoin). Of course, they already help the world by confirming transactions, but more could be achieved.

I would say that Primecoin might be a better example of a useful secure PoW coin. You get big primes as a result, which is always useful in cryptography. Since prime numbers are used in public/private key cryptography, it would be kind of like it is feeding it self Cheesy Who knows, maybe one day we figure out how to make a nice switch in Bitcoin's PoW algorithm, that might take some time tho.

1335  Economy / Gambling / Re: I will give you 468 Bitcoin on: August 08, 2017, 11:11:57 AM
So basically what happened was somebody decided it would be fun to trick others and create a fake 468 BTC wallet and sell it cheap to others to trick them into thinking they have a shot at the 468 BTC.

Some people bought it, couldn't crack the key and decided they want to get their money back by reselling it to someone else.

The wallet got resold many many times over and over again and after some forensic analysis it turns out its a fake wallet and there are only 2 Satoshos in the wallet instead of the promised 468 BTC.

This is basically the situation that goes on when someone buys a blacklisted phone. Someone gets an incredible deal and then later on it turns out the phone is stolen and can't be used. So instead of taking the loss, they just resell it to someone else in hopes of getting their initial money back. This is a digital file however and can be resold many times unlike a phone.

In this scenario who is at fault? The one who initially stole the phone and sold it? Or the individuals that bought it and kept reselling because they didn't want to be stuck with a loss?

All of them are at fault. They all sold a wallet without disclosing very important information, just so they can earn money on their expense. They all sold a wallet that they claimed had 468 BTC without actually knowing that it did. They also all acted like it was their wallet and they knew there was 468 BTC in it. That is a fraud, a scam, for their own benefit. Neither of them should be trusted for any further deals. They are selfish and irresponsible when it comes to other people's money.

Specifically bitcoinicon claimed that it was a legal wallet in the video's title itself and that he is selling it as a lottery. That was all a lie.
qasimilyas99 said that it was his wallet that he forgot a password for it and couldn't crack it because of the lack of GPU. But we know now that he tried cracking it ( he had the hardware for it ) and the guy from btcrecover said it was corrupted as well. Then when he lied all over about it all and changed his offer from sharing coins from a cracked wallet to buying a wallet and sharing nothing. Which shows that he knew at that point about the wallet's problem.

Bottom line is that they all lied either way. Even if bitcoinicon bought the wallet or made it himself, he is still a lier and a fraud. None of them should be trusted.
1336  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: August 08, 2017, 08:36:38 AM
Everyone chooses what to believe in, and this choice must be respected. I believe in God, because he created this world and helps those who deserve it in difficult situations.

What if someone believes that your beliefs shouldn't be respected. Should that belief be respected?
1337  Other / Politics & Society / Re: People in Russia really enjoy the Police. on: August 08, 2017, 08:33:39 AM
Who wouldn't enjoy police? Every policeman is great, no doubt about it. That is why they give them guns and not to us, because they are all better then us, this is obvious. If they think that some or all of us are a threat, they need to be able to kill us, this is absolutely a foolproof idea. It never goes wrong.
1338  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you believe in god? on: August 08, 2017, 08:23:48 AM
Do you believe in god? If you do, why do you believe? (give a few reasons)

No
1339  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: SHA possible backdoor by NSA and how we improve that on: August 08, 2017, 08:14:10 AM
SHA algorithms have been public for a long time, by now someone would likely found out and publish it. Thanks to Bitcoin there is a financial incentive for it as well, so the odds are against it. I think it is quite hard, even for NSA, to hide something like that in plain sight for so long.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is unstoppable on: August 08, 2017, 08:05:14 AM
even when attacked from the inside by blockstream/core it just forks and offers two chains. at least one will continue delivering p2p electronic money to the people with low fees.  maybe both?  we'll see. Smiley
People leave bitcoincash because their block is still not perfect, so they prefer to go back to bitcoincore. And I'm sure bitcoin will reach $ 4000 by the end of this year  Wink

At this early stage of the BitcoinCash (BCH) life, there is no question that it is not par with the first and the original Bitcoin. In fact, Bitcoin is taking the spin-off of BCH as a cue for its more growth right now. People can see clearly the difference and as clear as sky this is the reason why BCH holders are selling their coin share when it is already possible to do so. I have sold mine in Bittrex and I am still thankful for BCH for the free money, anyway.

There is an upsurge of price for Bitcoin right now and this can be expected results of weeks of waiting and after all the FUDs are gone for good and were proven just to be baseless fear Bitcoin is now back with revenge. However, we have to be careful as there will always be corrections along the way.

First and original Bitcoin? Cheesy I wouldn't be so bold to say that. First and original blockchain? Maybe, I don't know if there ware any successful hardforks in it's development to fix a bug or something. But to my knowladge, this hardfork was planed by Satoshi himself, long time ago. I can't say I know with certainty all the fork history and changes in protocol and design of Bitcoin all these years, but I am pretty certain that making your blocks bigger is not really stepping away from Bitcoin's originality. that was the first plan after all. And a softfork is a fork as well. So I don't think we should claim that Bitcoin Cash is somehow less original.
