561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do I get a BTC transaction UNSTUCK? on: January 02, 2018, 12:58:03 AM
Yeah, it seems it has been forgotten.
You want to post a new txid to accelerate that one?
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do I get a BTC transaction UNSTUCK? on: January 01, 2018, 10:10:07 PM
CPFP method is possible to be done manually. You can look into it and learn how to use it.

It is not wallets fault for the fees. You can set your own fees to whatever you want, it is just that it is going to take longer to confirm.

As for the purpose of cryptocurrencies, there are many and I doubt that transaction fees is what most people see as main feature. The decentralization and trustless nature is what generally people see as the main benefit of cryptocurrencies.

As for what you can do, well other than CPFP, you can use a transaction accelerator. If you post your txid someone here (maybe me) might help you out.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will fees keep rising to thousands of dollars? on: January 01, 2018, 10:04:47 PM
No one can tell you with certainty, it is a free market.
But with implementation of segwit and LN fees should lower in upcoming months.
564  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are the tips and tricks in dealing with anxiety on: January 01, 2018, 10:03:24 PM
I don't know much about anxiety, but I can tell you that in order to rank up you will need to be active on this forum for a certain amount of time.
If you are active in every two week period and have enough posts (on average one per day) then your account's activity points will rise by one for each day since you joined.

I think that you need 30 activity points in order to be a Jr. Member. So just make at least one post in next two weeks and then at least one more post in two weeks after that.
565  Other / Off-topic / Re: Satochi Nakamoto Evil Genius??? on: January 01, 2018, 03:45:29 PM
Hold onto your tinfoil hats. That video was laughably terrible. "Coincidences" don't make for good evidence for any argument. -Chaz

I quite like the idea satochi is some evil mastermind XD good or bad he's still a genius

Yes, Satochi. Satoshi's evil twin. Makes sense.
566  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Transaction unconfirmed - block unassigned problem on: January 01, 2018, 03:27:06 PM
It seems like one huge chain of unconfirmed transactions.
I wanted to suggest accelerating it or increasing the fees with CPFP, but since there are so many unconfirmed transactions dependent on this, it doesn't seem like you can do much here without paying for all of them.

Whoever made this transaction made quite a mess here.

568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Moving BitcoinCore from Windows to Raspberry Pi - Raspbian on: December 31, 2017, 02:50:10 PM
I don't know why transferring the chainstate didn't work for you.
I don't think that chainstate has that much to do with verifying blocks as much as extracting current balance of the addresses from blocks (not really, it just saves UTXOs).
There are no other steps needed after reindexing blocks. Your node should be ready after that.

Probaj

Pozdrav svima iz Srbije! Smiley

571  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World's smartest ethnic group on: December 28, 2017, 08:27:57 PM
I can only see problems with such discussions, as I don't see why this would be important.
I am fairly confident that being smart has nothing to do with ethnicity and this way of looking at things can not lead to much more than discrimination.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Facts Of 2017 You Might Have Missed on: December 28, 2017, 08:14:59 PM
Hard to call something facts when it is a pure speculation.
I can see why majority of people here might agree with you on Bitcoin, but for these altcoins, I don't think so.
To majority of people, these altcoins ain't special, there are hundreds and none bring something that new and useful to stick out.

I personally don't invest in altcoins, I just don't see any significant benefit of these coins and see clear benefit of people sticking to one cryptocurrency.
They will survive probably, but I don't think they will be very significant, but that is just my opinion.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain-based Cryptobanks Overtake Centralized Competitors? on: December 28, 2017, 08:09:51 PM
I don't see why these cryptobanks would be any different then conventional banks when the adoption of Bitcoin increases to the entire population.
There will be possible Dark net cryptobanks that you can't have for fiat banks, but they will likely not be popular as they don't bring nothing very useful to the ecosystem.
574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Faster way to recover bitcoin core wallet re: verifying blockchain on: December 28, 2017, 08:06:14 PM
You should know that Bitcoin Core improved it's initial sync time in one of the recent versions (I think 0.15).
It is now twice faster, I think.
It is rare that it takes more than a week for the initial sync, but I understand this can still be a lot of time for someone.
If you are in a hurry, then you will have to either use the other wallet or lose all the security that running a full node provides.
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will BCash's blockchain get "stress tested" as Bitcoin gets? on: December 28, 2017, 07:53:36 PM
I have no problem at all with free market competition.

The problem is when the other side is attacking us constantly with mempool spam, while claiming that our network is unusable, and while claiming they have the solution, which is a complete lie since they are selling a centralized scam, which would be exposed immediately if the network got saturated. Once people saw how BCash would collapse with full blocks and once people see them getting kicked out of the network (not being to run nodes) they would change their mind and realize why decentralization isn't cheap, at least with today's technology.

Attacking people that you think are bad is not only wrong, but also arrogant. You don't try to destroy someone, because you are confident that they are trying to destroy you. As you shouldn't escalate or even sustain conflict, neither should you act as someone whose opinion is worth more then someone else's. The truth is that no group should be able to stop Bitcoin and if you are worried that it can, then you should reconsider your support for it as there will eventually be bigger and bigger attacks on it.

You shouldn't attack people who you think are hurting you, you should try to help them understand. And if you think you can't then you need to think some more, as their lives and wellbeing are just as real and valuable as yours.
576  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Српски (Serbian) on: December 27, 2017, 11:55:46 PM

577  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price on: December 26, 2017, 04:28:58 PM
Not likely. This is the last week of the year, there is not much time or good reason for it to suddenly jump, but by February or March it should be definitely higher.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will BCash's blockchain get "stress tested" as Bitcoin gets? on: December 26, 2017, 04:26:18 PM
It really is sad to see that some people have so much pride that they can't take competition.

Let them be, it is their right to have their own crypto if they think something is wrong with BTC.
Don't attack them just to shut them up. Everyone should be able to be critiqued. This is what free speech is all about.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: who can explain this? on: December 25, 2017, 12:16:29 PM
what happend whit my btc?

Absolutely nothing. You btc are in the same place as they were before that transaction was made.
That transaction is just an attempt to move them, but for now it is still not successful attempt.

Transaction was made long time ago it seems. So most nodes just forgot about it.
I would either reboradcast the transaction or just do a double spend if I was you.
Either way, treat it like it was never made in the first place.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Developing a DDOS coin on: December 25, 2017, 12:06:14 PM
I agree windows has more back doors than anything and is CIA spyware but i am very good with both inbound and outbound firewall rules on
the router and also keep an eye on process running and i am in a much better position than you to put a finger in the air and say where this virus
came from not that i can ever be 100% certain it was not something running inside Srvhost , Conhost , Taskhost and ten other windows programs
that are designed to make our machine to operate more like a remote terminal than a "Personal PC"

Infection was nothing to do with DDOS and I run a program to read sys-logs from the router and it's programmed
to kick back when i care to run it but it get boring in the end

Tor i tell you, don't make excuses for them, i loved it as much as you do today before this happened

"But updating your Windows would have helped in this particular scenario."

You mean download more MS back doors as the previous doors that have become public knowledge becomes locked

Windows is shit but it's too late for me to jump ship to Linux Mint or something

In order not to stray away from the topic I will just make a quick response.
I have no idea about your firewall, I can just tell you what I read about WannaCry and how it works.
It could very well be some other ransomware however, who knows.
If your firewall didn't block the SMB port (445 I think) then that is almost certainly where it came from.
If it did, then it might be from inside the network (maybe WannaCry stays dormant on some computers).

As for the updates, do as you wish. I can just tell you that you are defenseless without updates.
Not saying that they don't also add new vulnerabilities, they do, but at least they patch old well known ones.
You just can't win using Windows...
