1321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dumbest thing you did in Crypto as a noob on: August 02, 2018, 03:53:27 AM
Hi all! I got into cryto this same time last year, I wanna share with you the dumbest thing I did as a noob back then, and it still haunting me.

I created a new ethereum wallet last year I stocked it up with 25eth..am very poor at that time eth was 4$ each I think..that was the most I could afford, I was using an ethereum client node, unfortunately for me I wrote down my wallet address instead of the private key. Now m been haunted by that fact I could have been a millionaire in my country..#dumbestthingyoudidincrypt

It is okay. With that, you were learning that you must write down or copy all of your wallet information next time.
Sometimes the mistakes you done become experience even the dumbest thing.
I was trying to unlock eth address using private key : 0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
That is the dumbest thing i have done.  Grin
1322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens with ETH on: August 01, 2018, 05:40:07 AM
Can anybody tell me what happen with eth now?Huh

I don't know either. few days ago when bitcoin price was rising, eth price still not rising as much as bitcoin.
maybe just some whales tried to controlling the cryptocurrency market by manipulating the price.
Other than the price, i think eth is a good coin because many peoples use it. Usually for ICOs.
1323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 1 year change on: July 31, 2018, 08:32:54 AM
People must stop talking about the death of bitcoin because a currency like bitcoin must not be judged with a change of a day or a month but with a change of a year who agree about that?
I ask too if there is a way to know the 1 year change of bitcoin in cmp or any other site.
Thanks

I personally think that bitcoin is not dead too. It is still alive and many holders using bitcoin in the market for trading activity.
Bitcoin has a great value, if it is already dead, it would have no value. There are some big companies already using bitcoin as a payment.
1 year from now is not a long time, but maybe the positive changes occurred because many start to using bitcoin.
1324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: July 30, 2018, 07:53:27 AM
Hi,

I lost some coins this year (my own fault in Phising)
But if you send your coins to multiple wallets you can split your investments better.

When your wallet is hacked you only lose this wallet.
This is my lesson for the next time  Smiley (and some other securities)

What do you do to secure your coins / tokens?

Yes it is enough to store your coin in several wallet because you don't know if something happened to your wallet.
In case it been hacked, you still have another wallet. It is like, dont put all of eggs in a single basket.
better to prevent it than cure it.
1325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: July 29, 2018, 02:27:44 PM
I have already joined hundreds of airdrops but I got nothing until now. I will never join AirDrop programs any more.
- Each airdrop rewards only some token, that its value from $5 to $20 (calculated by the ICO price)
- Most of the token are dead now (just spammed projects or shit coins)
- Some tokens have been listed on Coinmarketcap now but the token price is terrible low. The value even equal to the transaction fee if I send the tokens to exchanges.

Hey, what do you expect from airdrop rewards ? of course the reward will be small. $5 or $20 is already big enough i think.
Maybe you should participate in the campaign instead airdrops. And before joining any of airdrop of campaign, you should do
research about the company first. So you know that their token price will not falling after ICO.
1326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency and ICOs? on: July 29, 2018, 02:04:17 PM
Should I invest in cryptocurrency and ICOs?

Just be aware, investing in ICO is risky if you not have a good knowledge about the ICO project you want to take a part.
Instead ICO, you can buy a great coins such as ETH, XRP, or NEO and hold them as your savings.
1327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If ICO Fails, Then what happen next? on: July 29, 2018, 01:47:39 PM
There are many ICO is running at the same time. Maximum ICO can't be success. So, if I invest in any ICO and if they can't be success then what will happen with my money? Will they give me back me my money or not? I am so confused. So, please kindly inform me.

Thank You Everyone.

Usually, if they failed to raised enough funds for their ICO, they will refund your money of coins that you use to buy their tokens.
But there are some ICOs turned to be a scam project after they failed, and not giving money back to the contributors.
1328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: July 28, 2018, 03:04:08 PM
BITCOIN vs ETH ? your thoughts ?

Bitcoin is a pioneer of all cryptocurrency in the world. Almost everyone know bitcoin, even non-crypto expert people know bitcoin if you ask them.
on the other hand, ethereum is the most well known altcoin. Many peoples use ETH not only for currency, but for investing their money on the projects.
both of them are awesome coin.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcore Is 40X Faster Than Bitcoin, Yet 4000X Cheaper? on: July 28, 2018, 02:49:43 PM
I wrote this article today - How Bitcore is 40X faster than the original bitcoin, yet 4000X cheaper:

https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@jimbojones/bitcore-is-40x-faster-than-bitcoin-and-4000x-cheaper

Bitcore was created before bitcoin cash, and bitcoin cash was overly hyped and took all the attention. Bitcore seems to be far superior in every single way?

Bitcore is currently selling at $2.. and is listed on 8 different exchanges with around $450,000 a day in trade volume.

Seems like this one has been over looked?

What do you guys think?

i think this is not about the transaction speed, but this is about the trust of peoples who hold bitcoin.
Many peoples use bitcoin more than bitcore thats why it is more expensive.
Bitcoin has been bought and sold for ten years, peoples bought and sold higher, so it can be this expensive.
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it right time to buy Altcoin? on: July 28, 2018, 02:35:37 PM
Market we see green again. Is this right time to buy Altcoin?

What do you think?

The market was going green again few days later, and now it still ustable, going up and down constantly.
i think the right time to buy altcoin is when the market price going down. It is not going down significantly for now,
so i think it is the time for holding our coins.
1331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin? ✅ on: July 27, 2018, 03:02:31 AM
Bitcoin is well known for its safety. The biggest dangers are mainly hacker attacks on third party services, through which one accesses his bitcoins. These are above all the various crypto exchanges on which the users have created accounts or the bitcoins stored locally in wallets.

Basically, either the exchange itself is directly attacked, so that data can be stolen there. The biggest known incident was the hacker attack on Mt.Gox about 4 years ago, when a huge hack of Bitcoins was looted. This was also the reason for the decrease of Bitcoins 2014.

Today, the exchanges have improved to prevent such occurrences, because it can come to hacks and the trade is severely restricted or even stopped completely. This often leads to strong price fluctuations, mainly caused by so-called panic sells.

An equally large attack surface offer individual mistakes that can easily be prevented. Individual mistakes are the responsibility of individual users and are often:
- insufficiently secured user accounts due to weak passwords
- Login on a phishing site
- send the private keys to a scammer

If a stranger has once gained access to your own accounts, he can quickly transfer the entire balance to another wallet and due to the anonymity, it is no longer clearly comprehensible. For such a kind of total loss helps therefore only a careful handling with your personal user data.

But as long as you follow to the usual security rules and pay attention to secure passwords, which you should also change from time to time and do not use the same password on many other pages, an accident normally cannot happen.
The high demand and high competition between exchanges has also contributed to the improvement of safety standards.

How make you sure to safe your Bitcoins?

The point that we need to take a note is the security of our wallet. Bitcoin is actually very safe, there will no one can crack our wallet.
The problem is the bad peoples will try to find other way, they cannot do them self. So they make us to do some mistake like go to phishing site,
scam us, or tell many lies to us.
1332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do I find the Next Big thing like Bitcoin? on: July 26, 2018, 03:30:27 AM
How do I determine and invest in something which can turn on in the coming years.Like a person who invested in Bitcoin in 2009(when Bitcoin was less known and popular) had received a huge appreciation in coming years. How to sense and identify that Next Big thing?

You cannot find it unless you can do fortune teller and have a crystal ball. If we knew what coin will be like bitcoin, we would buy that coin with all we have. Cryptocurrency is already have many coins created, making it harder to find the real good coin. Just buy several altcoins, we don't know if they become big in the future.
1333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin in Southeast Asia be legal? on: July 26, 2018, 02:59:45 AM
Because to my knowledge there are several countries in southeast asia that have not legalized bitcoin. And what is our endeavor for bitcoin in southeast asia to be legal like any other country (which has legalized bitcoin).
Will the impact be positive or negative?

It may be not legalized, they don't allowed using bitcoin as a payment. But using it as trading currency is allowed i think.
There are some cryptocurrency exchange in south east asia operating with a good daily volume of cryptocurrency.
1334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone bought up all the existing bitcoins? on: July 26, 2018, 02:21:03 AM
Hi, I am a noob to all this bitcoin stuffs. It sounds like an interesting idea but before I invest too much into it I have
some questions and concerns. Perhaps highest on my list of concerns is the possibility that someone will buy up all,
or most, of all the bitcoins that exist.

Will it be just like the existing economic system where the rich get richer on the backs of the poor?
Will that not destroy the whole bitcoin project and make whatever bitcoins I happen to get myself worthless?

I have read a few things on this kinda stuff and some of it sounds pretty scary. I don't know how much of it
is FUD or how feasible any of it is at all at all.

Please help me understand and ease my mind in regard to this issue.

Thank you

Did you investing in bitcoin in the end ? What kind of FUD did you hear makes you scared ?
I think someone cannot buy all of the existing bitcoin in the market. When you sell order in the market, you can see the sell order
in the bottom will be gone if there are buyers. And the top sell order will remain because the price is very expensive.
1335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Litecoin recover? on: July 25, 2018, 08:09:27 AM
I bought some Litecoin when the price was on it's way up. The price took a dive but I've been holding them in the hope they will recover to their former glory. This doesn't appear likely to happen any time soon, would I be better off selling them now and limiting my losses and investing elsewhere or do you think it's likely to achieve a higher price in the long term? All advice appreciated.

The first mistake you done is you bought the coin when the price increasing. I think you shouldn't try to chase the spiking price, because you won't know if the price will keep increasing or falling after you buy it. But i think litecoin is a good coin, it is used by many people, so the price will be back increase.
1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH?? on: July 25, 2018, 06:19:45 AM
Since most of the alt coins are traded with BTC or ETH. SO I think altcoins prie are dependent on the price of this two.
What is your opinion please share.

I don't think the altcoin price depends on the bitcoin price. As you can see now btc price is increased far from altcoins.
bitcoin is a trusted cryptocurrency, the buyers of bitcoin will be more than altcoins. Sometimes price don't depends each others.
1337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees will NEVER come down on: July 24, 2018, 05:11:13 AM
think about it if you were a miner, and have learnt that you can charge XXX for transaction why would you be happy to again charge just one X?
It is certain the more popular coins will increase costs to catch up with bitcoin, as opposed to bitcoin lowering .
Developers are already being pressured to behave in ways that I dare not repeat.

Why you think of that ? Bitcoin fees will reduced if bitcoin price reduced too. You made this assumption when bitcoin price at the peak.
Look at the market price of bitcoin now, it is on the bottom, so the tx fee. I am not a miner, but if i want to mining bitcoin, i think i will need to buy the latest asic to gain btc more, not by increasing the fee.
1338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People call bitcoin a fraud or ponzi scheme on: July 24, 2018, 05:00:08 AM
Anyone can call it ponzi scheme and fraud but if you think of it, everything worldly is fraud. You buy apple products with thousands of dollars but how much are they really worth? Why would people give out thousands of dollars for a macbook when they can buy a laptop for $300? Is it really worth that much or is it just another ponzi scheme that apple is bringing to the world better gadgets than any other brands? So we're talking about bitcoin now. What are we really paying for when we buy bitcoin? We pay for an online program and the people running the program helping transactions go through, or we call mining. Miners put in so much time and most especially the cost of mining is so much. That is merely the reason why bitcoin will cost much and if incase it will dive too low and will not be enough to pay for miners, then that could be the time bitcoin will die, or not.

Peoples should be able to see the difference between bitcoin and ponzi. Ponzi scheme usually doesn't lasting for long.
Once the peoples of ponzi cannot bring other peoples anymore, they will die.
If bitcoin was a ponzi, it would easily already dead now because it has been long time.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should stay off from market prediction on: July 24, 2018, 04:08:33 AM
As an investor one thing you shouldn't engage yourself with is Predictions, if you want to be successfully in this Crypto ecosystem, you need to stay off any form of market prediction.

Here are few reasons why you shouldn't engaged with it (market/price prediction)

1. Predictions can be wrong

2. Listening to predictions makes you a speculator

3. Listening to predictions makes you an onlooker

4. Price prediction gives you nothing for today, only false hope

5. Listening to price prediction makes you think in one direction

Finally

Don’t let speculation and assumption make you decide what to do.

There is no accurate prediction in cryptocurrency because the if peoples could predict it, Many peoples would rich already now.
Relying to the prediction is not a good action, you must relying to your own research and analysis on the market too.
1340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EVERY TIME IS RIGHT TO BUY AND SELL on: July 23, 2018, 03:41:06 AM
Looking at how BTC is and its ability to increase, I have seen people posting all all over the forum that can I buy now, is this the right time to buy and many more. To me I think every time is the right and best time to buy BTC so we should go on and buy any amount we want to and stop all those post because when you buy now there will surely be a time to come where it will increase in price for you to enjoy it. We can buy and sell anytime and anytime is the best time. What do you think guys? Any suggestions?

Actually there is no right time to buy or sell. You just can buy now and hold for few years, i believe you will earn profit.
The best time to buy was at the beginning of bitcoin in 2009 - 2010, so now is a bit late and you need to wait for another years to gain maximum profit.
