Both are great investments.
BTC was the 'founding father' of cryptocurrencies whereas ETH was built on top of the BTC framework to include more advanced and better features. ETH is considered the 'founding father' of smart contracts in the blockchain.
I wouldn't say one replaces the other. Both are significant in their own ways.

To me, Bitcoin is best for invest in Digital Currency than ethereum. Here the reasons:

* Ethereum is not just a digital currency
* Bitcoin is deflation while Ethereum is inflation
* Bitcoin is simple and limited
* Bitcoin has a first mover advantage
* Bitcoin have bigger community and It’s easier to get started
* Ethereum is less known and younger

Both coin have different thoughts.Bitcoin fastest cryptocurrency in the world.bitcoin most valuable cryptocurrency and second one but price difference is big.Bitcoin is most popular than Ethereum,most of the people know about bitcoin.100 thousands merchants and stores accept Bitcoin a huge achievement beside Ethereum not much merchants and stores accept.Ethereum popular for creating smart contracts in the blockchain.

both are exceptional coin coin, bitcoin as the mother of the coin and as the other coin coin standards, both are very promising investments, and I invested in ETH by buying bitcoin and I put it in eth coin, and I also can benefit double.

My thoughts on Bitcoin VS Ethereum is that both are great investing coins, I can't choose which one I want most because both of these coins have different platforms. They have different objectives as well, Bitcoin is the original and is the father of all coins and Ethereum is somewhat the next big thing next to Bitcoin.

For me bitcoin is the among the best, bitcoin came first compare to eth and it is more famous thank eth. Bitcoin is worldwide currcy that can use anywhere and anytime.

Personally, I like ones like eth better than btc, but btc still holds a very privileged position thanks to being first and by far the best known out there.

i love both of them.

btc as the first cryptocurreny , eth as the first eco system with blockchain.

anyway , even ltc also has a high price.

if btc down , i think most of cryptocurreny will down. but not eth.

more and more dapp build on eth, eth is become  more stronger and more powerful day by day.

next month , eth will upgrade with hard fork , it is a good news for eth.

I agree with you.
Ethereum is not just digital currency, it is also used for contracts. And this contract are the basic tool to nowadays ICO's for better or worst it has that use. The potential is huge but it is , as you pointed out, less known.

Bitcoin is digital gold, I cant say anything that you haven't already know about it.

I mostly prefer Bitcoin more well because of the high exchange it can give, but EHT has proven it self to have a worth and can make it to the top of the Crypto's But I think considering there is so much more in other Crypto's and now that newly ICO's have been establishing their own Alt's and this newly improve ones have some features of their own I think it is great to explore it for a more and massive ways to earn for all of us.

So bitcoin is boss.no compare with any others.
I also think, bitcoin is the mother off alt coin.

i am choosing bitcoin than eth although i already have eth in my wallet too. bitcoin is always the leader so far but ethereum have a chance to be the second leader in crypto currency because eth have big community too like bitcoin. beside that today many ico that is based on the ethereum network and i think ethereum itself will be better than the other.

Bitcoin has a team of total assholes who always fight and argue and get absolutely nothing done.

Ethereum has a remarkable team that is highly organized and kicking ass with great new developments everyday.  Just look at the ETH documentation and the Bitcoin documentation. 

Now, THOUSANDS of companies are building stuff that works with ETH chain.  Bitcoin - still losing merchants and companies because idiots like 1MegGreg and AdamBack want to own the transaction flow via Lightning.  Companies can't do anything on bitcoin blockchain and they all have quit.  Ethereum will be much higher market cap than bitcoin in less than 12 months.

Even Bitcoin cash will pass up Bitcoin core.

I don't see them as opposing each other as both have different features and characteristics. Bitcoin and Ethereum can go hand in hand not just in terms of being the most actively traded coins but also for their myriad of uses. I am predicting that both will be here as long as cryptocurrency is existing. I have both Bitcoin and Ethereum and I intend to HDOL them for a long, long time.
