Well, apparently my 500k coinye was stolen from the bitember pool. Was just about to cash out when I saw a manual payout to some unknown address. Still not sure if I was hacked or if they were. Pretty depressed... was excited to finally make a small profit off a coin release.

Taking charity :/

(Anyone else have a similar problem on bitember?)

1. are you on a windoz pc?
2. did you scan you PC for malware, virus?

package arrived today - just - in a very desolate condition. all torn and put into a plastic bag.
all 16 sticks in there - but unfortunately 1 seems to be broken due to the very "friendly" handling at royal mail ;-( It's box was completely broken already and it denies to even start to run. Plugging it into my hub even kills off everything else on the hub.

Sending you a pm :-)

Otherwise I would recommend the service.

Them Royal Mail guys must have been hashing on your units for 24hours. lol

Closure On The EpicThomas Attack Of 31 Dec 2013

OK, time for EpicThomas restitution distribution.

EpicThomas has sent 47,960 NXT to my account 16092180239932658439 as a restitution payment for NXT lost in his hack attack of December 31.

From the previous charity distribution described at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg4275210#msg4275210 this is the split applied:

Framewood: 35.16%
plasticAiredals: 6.56%
newcn: 6.39%
sparta_cuss: 51.89%

So I have transfered:

47960*0.3516 = 16863 to Framewood's  11516574435181434547
47960*0.0656 = 03146 sent to PlasticAiredale's  17139321135754562770
47960*0.0639 = 03065 sent to newcn's 13187911577562526278
47960*0.5189 = 24886 sent to Sparta-cuss's 14748981975238803545

These actions can be verified via the block explorer at http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=34 .  Between charity and restitution payments, these four individuals have now recovered just shy of 30% of their losses.

There still  remains doubt over whether the bandit accounts associated with this heist contain stolen NXT or darkNXT.   Furthermore, the sentiment  in the NXT general forum seems to be that EpicThomas paying a restitution of 47,960 NXT balances the scales of justice for his crime of distributing infected NXT clients on December 31, 2012.

Accordingly, I consider the matter of EpicThomas to be closed and I will take no further actions regarding him.

Nice work on that rickyjames, thanks for regulating.

self regulation and enforcement for a crypto currency called nxt. so awesome. this will go in history and glad to be a fellow nxt user.

i'm asking because in the last 3 days i see that C.A.T. stopped trading some coin pairs in my portfolio

That's bearish market. When we bought position and market go against,  CAT still hold  position in loss and waiting for trade which never come.
Try try to select markets which grow up (bullish markets or sideways markets), there works fine.

Look for bullish markets or sideways markets.
thanks for advice.

1331  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Pre-ordered Black Arrow Prospero X-3 batch 1 on: January 06, 2014, 10:45:16 PM
There might not be doubts about whether they deliver, but there certainly are doubts about when they will deliver. Hashfast taped out early September, and is just now shipping, about 110 days later. Cointerra taped out early November, and isn't expected to ship until late January at the earliest, about 80 days later. February 24th is only 50 days away, and Black Arrow still hasn't taped out.

never thought of that, unless Black Arrow is just keeping mom.

1336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Development on: January 06, 2014, 02:38:46 AM
Mohammed Akram, which apparently also goes by Muhammed Akram or Mohammed Jafar Akram or Mohammed Mubasher Akram. When looking these personas up with relation to Alpha Technologies, their birth years come up as 1948, 1987, and 1990, respectively.

To be fair, that could easily be a father and two sons.  Mohammed is a very common name for a large percentage of the world.

Like you say it's common amongst some cultures to share the same name. Not surprised by this at all. Father and two sons quite feasibly.

Cam't rule out father and sons perhaps, but odd to change director positions within a month or so between father and each son. But either way, if they came out publicly and presented themselves in persona, maybe a lot could be cleared up?!

If I read it right the father resigned as director and one of the other sons joined as financial director. From what I understand Alpha-T was setup off the back of an accountant firms which one of them was already involved in (can't remember the finer detail). so it may work out better this way (at least from a tax perspective) to organise their business in this manner.

Nope. They also own an accountancy firm. Alpha Technologies was formally Cheshire Technologies. Changed its name 22nd of July 2013. Less than six months ago.

here is the website for their accounting firm: http://www.akramco.com/ which was created October 16th, 2011 from the whois records. I guess Jafar is the son and also an accountant like his father. Mubasher must be the younger son and perhaps the engineer as one of the Alpha Technologies people introduced themselves here under the bitcointalk alias as one.

Stuff like that is helpful to shed some light behind this company and know who we are dealing with and if they can be trusted to an extend.

Do accountants in UK need a license to practice? I'm sure we can dig up their records and validate their business.

acidu, some people thinks that C.A.T. makes miracle. Simple.

This is what should happen :

- Run C.a.T.
- Wait X TIme
- Portfolio values is OldPortfolioValue+GAIN
No matter that market devaluation is occuring, or that BTC price is growing faster during these days.

If this isn't the result people are not satisfied (not all, many of them understant the problem).

Some other people have buyed C.A.T. without know what they are buying.  Wink

Dear potential CAT buyers or traders, I just bought CAT and still learning how to use it.
Some markets are frozen now and my portfolio had a small gain.
But it's not a super miracle software.
You need to learn how to use it.

If you have questions, please post them here. I'm sure sampey will answer your pre-sales questions before you buy it.
