1321  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having Troubles with GUIminer... on: February 16, 2013, 02:50:15 PM
I myself have to down clock my cards when using cgminer. Gui seems to not give as many shares. Speed is 30 to 40 hashes more with  gui than cg. I don't know why. I am still toying with it. I will update thead if I discover anything that would be of use.
adjust the intensity in cgminer. by default it runs as dynamic. pump it up to 10 and then check it out.

Thank so much for the reply Mate but its not that . I been overclocking for years and i am using afterburner on both machines at the moment. The thing is with Bitminter Clientv1.3.1 i get roughly 1300mhps for the 1 machine. after i wrote this post GUIMiner actually dropped to 124mhps per card so something strange going on there. I am sure it was some setting or possibly GUIMiner just don't work on windows 8.

Problem is Using the Bitminter Client gives me no freedom at all . I feel almost forced to stay only on bitminter and not try anything else.

Like i said though i like Bitminter but would like to try other pools also with the other machine.I am also going to be mining to GTX680 cards in another rig. I know nvidia doesnt do as well but there top card with a high overclock should do something i imagine.Plus they are sitting doing nothing anyway.

Any help with a newbie friendly GUI client that i can use? One similar to the bitminter interface would be cool but anything that will work would be nice also.

so basically i still need a GUI Client please.

Also is there a Facebook for Bitcoin Miners because communicating and getting help on forums takes a very long time and every day that goes by is just bigger losses.

Thanks Mybadomen

Also seems strange 2 overclocked 7970's and 2 overclocked 6970's together cant pull 1 BTC in 5 days in a Pool.

Use cgminer. it's command line but extremely easy to setup and efficient. i'd be glad to help you out. Most of us hang out over at #bitcoin-otc on freenode.

Excellent marketing! BTW - Star Wars Battlefront was a hell of a fun game. Toe Jam and Earl is a classic! Good luck.

1326  Economy / Goods / [SOLD] Best Buy Store Credit Card $31.79 value for 1.2 BTC (can mail or escrow) on: February 13, 2013, 10:00:51 PM
I have a Best Buy Store Credit card that i picked up today (see pics). It's unscratched. It can be used at bestbuy.com or in any US retail store (not sure about worldwide). I can mail it along with the receipt, or scratch it off and give you the numbers - both after i have received the BTC. Willing to do escrow for trusted buyers. If you've never traded before and don't have a positive WOT rating, i'm not interested in doing business with you.

Value: $31.79
Asking: 1.2 BTC

Not going to suggest another forum board software (some people can't get the hint it seems), but i would like to recommend a company. I've freelanced with these guys and worked with them in other capacities (they did the website for both the hospital i worked at and one of the charities i volunteer for). Very technical and creative, easy to talk to, huge on anything involving online commerce, and extremely hard working. they handle enterprise level projects all the time. Give them a shout.

That's not my work, but i'm sure i can resize it. What format do you prefer?

Thanks!

Also, i have a professional photography studio setup in my home. I will take amazing photos of the product, post process them in lightroom, and write an extensive review for you. i can post it to whereever you want, and i'll link it out to our facebook/twitter/pinterest/wanelo members if you want. Least i can do for the work you're putting into this.

1335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So.... How do 'newbies' build rep? on: February 11, 2013, 02:00:27 PM
The only people that talk about rep are scammers.  A good trader simple needs put a link in his sig and most people on the forum will know the name anyways.
You're an idiot.

To everyone else - thanks!

1339  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So.... How do 'newbies' build rep? on: February 10, 2013, 10:43:51 PM
Sorry, i didn't realize it was unclear. I'm simply trying to build a rep on my nick for the WOT, or here on the forums so that i may buy/sell/trade in the future without the hassles i'm experiencing now. Every one had to get their start some way, i'm asking for some tips to work towards getting a positive reputation.

Seeking to build rep is a mark of a scammer.  Normal people want to buy and sell goods and services.  Just do that, in small amounts at first, and every successful trade will earn you a bit of trust from whoever you trade with.  Earning a reputation takes a huge amount of time, and it can be lost in an instant.  Focus on the trades you want to make or the services you'd like to use/provide.  If you're an honest person trust will take care of itself.
Thanks for this. I just performed my first BTC buy via p2p on bitcoin-otc, so im working towards the very thing you mention! I have bought and traded on btc-e.com in the past.

Also, i wasn't talking just selling the things i have (my Etsy sales are doing really well), i was just talking about doing any transaction. I'm looking to buy some LTC and BTC and it's like pulling teeth! Looks like slow and steady wins this race, so thank you all for the helpful tips!

Just noticed someone named sturles has an offer for 1btc to help get rating for new traders on bitcoin-otc. i'm going to buy a few off of him, as soon as i figure out how to setup all the prereqs. That's one step forward!
