1201  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [VIDEO] Butterfly Labs (BFL) Bitforce SC ASIC Test on: March 30, 2013, 05:10:11 AM
Looks like some charity is about to make out with $100k.

I have done the necessary to get my money back on paypal...i hope there will be not problems
Why would you order from a place like this? I cannot believe someone actually fell for it.
1204  Economy / Goods / Re: Looking to rent apartment in Chicago on: March 29, 2013, 02:32:18 PM
Anyone have an apartment to rent me?  I want to pay with bitcoin.

My budget is a month or less.

omg, is 1000 usd the rent in Chicago? (I live in the EU and that seems too much for me)

(sorry for the offtopic, just giving you a bump)

depending on the area $1000 is about right.  A bit higher for nicer areas with a 1BR.  A bit lower in questionable neighborhoods.
Downtown you aren't going to find much for $1000 unless you are looking for a 250 sq.ft. studio.
I paid 2800/mo for a 1/1 near Navy Pier a few years back.
1205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Android Wallet for LTC? on: March 28, 2013, 02:33:13 AM
PM simran, he has one in production
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good LTC pools? on: March 27, 2013, 07:52:05 PM
I use ozcoin, nushors, and burnside's (in that order).
1207  Economy / Services / Re: litecoin -> bitcoin forwarding address on: March 27, 2013, 06:55:13 PM
Contact bendercoin in #bitcoin-otc on freenode. he is working on an autoexchanger himself, and soon something similar for me.
1208  Economy / Goods / Re: FREE $150 when you spend $50 - Google Adwords on: March 27, 2013, 06:53:21 PM
I cant believe no interest. Doesn't anybody use adwords? This is $150 for free!!!

Im giving these away!!
Probably because anyone who has spent money in adwords receives these coupons monthly in the mail. I've spent around $60k in adwords since 2006, and have literally hundreds of these coupons, as well as more valuable ones like spend $50 get $300, spend $250, get matched $250,etc. Not to mention these coupons are given away for free from every major hosting provider along with yahoo, bing, and yp coupons.
1209  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Long range forecast of the network hashrate and Difficulty on: March 27, 2013, 06:07:37 AM
i'm late to the party, but this is fantastic work.
1210  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How is Bitinstant not at the top of this section? on: March 27, 2013, 03:16:29 AM
Another bitcoin venture bites the dust...

It's absolutely clear that they oversold BTC and the price rally left them fucked. Stop buying Bitcoins from bitinstant, it's likely that you're not going to get your coins
Agreed, gave up on my order from february (page 50 or so of that thread). theres no way ill see the BTC i bought @$26 from them with the current price.
1211  Economy / Goods / Re: Would you be interested in live plants? (herbs and vegetables) NON-GMO **POLL** on: March 27, 2013, 03:10:35 AM
I've been on a strict paleo diet for a few years, would love to find someone who takes BTC for fresh herbs. Farmer's markets near me aren't cutting it, and the dogs chew up anything i plant in the backyard garden.
1212  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: You do all realise what BFL are doing right? on: March 27, 2013, 02:25:23 AM
...
Opinions?

Doubt it.  The highest technical achievement I've seen these guys provably demonstrate was to be able to hire someone to port some software to a box of outdated reject FPGAs they found.  I'd be surprised if anyone in the organization proper(*) could put together anything more sophisticated than a crystal radio.  They can run the hell out of a belt sander though.

* A couple of guys with a 'colorful history of [off|on]-shore Libertarianism'(**) and some assorted girlfriends/street-persons when needed.

** for instance: bilking senile oldsters out of lottery funds and stealing satellite TV.

i agree, did you see the pics of hand soldering BGAs?
1213  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Are Josh and Sonny Preparing to Ship? on: March 27, 2013, 02:24:01 AM
Why does BFL's CEO have the same name and is from this same HUGE city as a convicted fraudster?

I can answer this one at least definitively. This is due to the fact that Sonny Vleisides, an officer at BFL, is in fact the very same convicted thief and has admitted as much publicly...just search. Course BFL in typical BFL fashion did not voluntarily admit this until confronted. Occasionally one BFL mouthpiece or another denies that Sonny is currently their CEO and I believe they claim Nasser is now, but I don't follow this ridiculous drama as closely as I did when I was actually considering an order with them.

There are liars and convicted thieves in positions of authority at butterfly labs. Caveat emptor.

You seem to have posted a strong criticism for "not follow[ing] this ridiculous drama".

This drama has been unfolding for months bud, none of this is new. Really, just do a search, you can read all about it at your leisure and make your own call. I've made mine.

Precisely my point. We all know your opinion, so why continue trolling threads about it?
Just because someone says something that goes against your current beliefs/feelings doesnt mean theyre trolling. he is stating facts, not trolling.
1214  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling btcprediction.com,, and btcentertainment.com on: March 26, 2013, 08:01:24 PM
Find one person, that ive scammed, taken money from unjustly, or anything for the sort, and i will admit to being untrustworthy.
Doesn't matter to me man, it might to others - who knows. You've already proven that besides being extremely new to things you tried to resell hosting you bought from godaddy at 500% cost and claimed you didnt know better, then you try and sell domains that were registered that day saying you bought them 'awhile ago' (and obviously showing that you had no clue about WHOIS, or domain concepts in general), etc. You've already shown a desire and propensity for scamming/getting one over on people. It's clear to the rest of us, sorry it's so muddy to you.

"as closely as I did". That came out a few months ago.

Except that Creative-I-Don't-Need-Evidence-To-Form-An-Opinion-X posts many, many times in every possible BFL thread in existence, so if he was following it closer in the past, that is truly frightening, given that he lives and breathes BFL in the present.

LOL

Like inblahblah here, I'm a miner. I run a mining company, it's kind of necessary to keep up on developments at hardware vendors...or in this case FORMER hardware vendors. BFL USED to be a company that sold mining gear, albeit in a shady and scammy fashion. When BFL shut down their FPGA sales and switched to their current ad based ASIC pre-order ponzi scam model, I at first did lots of research to determine if I should invest. I've since decided that they're either scammers or grossly incompetent(or both) and shouldn't be trusted with a plug nickel, at least until they prove capable of manufacturing anything other than moar excuses.

Pretty sure if you check my posts Mr. BFL COO or CEO or whatever your current title is at Big Fn Lie Inc. then you'll find I've mostly moved on to posting in threads about your competitor's products. You know the Chinese guys that started their ASIC project months after you "professionals" and are actually shipping finished products. Them guys.
Do you mean the same Chinese guys that BFL_Josh made fun of every chance he got, calling them idiots and amateurs, while laughing at people and calling them "fucking morons" for the large btc bets that they wouldn't ship March 1?
1216  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling btcprediction.com,, and btcentertainment.com on: March 26, 2013, 05:49:31 PM
wow, are really going to go on a quest to destroy my rep because i embellished how long ago i bought domain names...... wow. Looks like someone is having a abad day.
You lied to the community, several times now. In an industry that heavily relies on trust between people, you've shit the bed.
1217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Vircurex.com updating it's look? on: March 26, 2013, 05:45:57 PM
they 'updated' to bootstrap, like every other BTC company seems to be doing. It's free and doesn't require an ounce of webdev skills.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100% Stale Shares on: March 26, 2013, 03:05:01 PM
Can you adjust your thread concurrency to 8000 and report back?
1219  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling btcprediction.com, bitcoinoutlook.com, and btcentertainment.com on: March 25, 2013, 05:50:30 AM
Thanks, im sure its obvious im new to selling domains... i picked these up awhile ago for a project... but never got to it...

I'm still waiting on a february order. yankee replied in the newbie support thread a few times, telling me i would receive it, or he was emailing me within a few minutes, never received my btc or any emails. worst part is there is no action to take against companies like this, and its obvious this forum supports them (their own support thread- every other company worth their weight has their own support ticket system or forums). If you do business with bitinstant, there is a high chance you will never see your money or BTC again. I bought a few hundred USD worth in february @ 26. I'm positive i'll never see a single coin.
